00:08Now we are here to talk about the features coming to Xbox One in the August update.
00:12What do we have to look forward to?
00:13The August update is a pretty big update for social and community engagement.
00:18The first feature is the activity feed.
00:21We've revamped the activity feed to really focus the items appearing in your feed to the things that you care
00:29most about.
00:30Achievements earned by your friends, game DVR clips, new friend relationships, and we're also making it longer so that we
00:38can include more items in the feed and you can really scroll back pretty far in time to see really
00:44the history of what your friend network has been up to.
00:47I've also noticed here, we can see it here in the video, is that there's also some other things you've
00:52added to the activity feed.
00:53Well, so we've made the activity feed more interactive.
01:06And so you have the ability now to like items in the feed.
01:10Okay.
01:11You have the ability to comment on them, and when your friends comment on items in your feed, you'll be
01:16notified of that so you can see what's popular amongst your friends.
01:19But even cooler than that is you can share game DVR clips from your activity feed to another activity feed
01:27and promote them across all of your friends.
01:30Or you can share them as an attachment in an Xbox Live message to specific friends.
01:34Where else can I use that functionality?
01:37Well, the upload app.
01:38So when you're using the upload app, you'll see game DVR clips and be able to like them from within
01:43there as well.

02:54You also have a little preview
02:55of what we can expect in the future, right?
02:57So, earlier this year we did,
02:59with the OneGuide,
03:00we did an extended preview
03:01for some of the features on Smart Glass,
03:03and now we're doing an extended preview
03:05on the console for an update to Home.
03:08So, we're introducing a friends area on Home
03:11that will show you at a glance what your friends are up to,
03:15the most popular games amongst your friends,
03:17and even a Gamerscore leaderboard
03:19to inspire some competition,
03:21some healthy competition amongst your friends,
03:23so that you can see how you're doing compared to your friends
03:25at earning more Gamerscore.
03:27And it's going to stay in preview
03:29until our preview audience has given us the feedback
03:32and we've had a chance to digest and respond to it,
03:34so when it's generally available,
03:36it's exactly the way we want it.
