00:05Hi, I'm Larry Herb, Xbox Live's Major Nelson, and it is time to talk about the June updates
00:10for Xbox.
00:11The Xbox team is working away in preparation for E3 2015, and we can't wait for you to
00:17see what they've been working on.
00:18For now, though, the team has lined up some great new features and preview for the Xbox
00:23app on Windows 10.
00:24If you're not a Windows Insider, and you're interested in testing Windows 10 and the
00:30Xbox app, head to insider.windows.com.
00:34Okay, let's take a look at the updates for the Xbox app.
00:37First up, the team has added game hubs to the Xbox app.
00:41Select any game under Recently Played, and you'll be transported to the hub, where you
00:47can see the activity feed, friends who've played the game, achievements, and clips created
00:53by the community.
00:54Next, the team has added keyboard shortcuts for opening the game bar.
01:00The game bar is used to record videos and take screenshots of your games on Windows.
01:05The default is set to Windows G, but you can now go to Settings, Game DVR, and then Keyboard
01:12Shortcuts to customize it to your liking.
01:14You can also now view and manage your cloud-based game clips in the app by selecting Game DVR,
01:21and then Shared.
01:23The Avatars app will now launch right from the Xbox app as well.
01:27Simply select your profile and choose Customize.
01:33We've also made it easier to add friends, share your real name, and designate friends as favorites
01:39in the Xbox app.
01:41Simply select anyone's profile, and then choose More to see the available options.
01:51Finally, we have a big favor to ask everyone using the Xbox app on Windows 10.
01:56As you know, we announced game streaming from your Xbox One to your PC earlier this year.
02:02We've added a diagnostic test to the Xbox app to help us gather data so we can make game
02:08streaming the best it can possibly be.
02:10Simply head to the Connect menu in your Xbox app, choose your Xbox One, and connect to it.
02:17Then choose Test Streaming.
02:21The diagnostic data we collect is anonymous and will be a huge help to the team.
02:26Now for all the details on the June update, don't forget to head to XboxWire at news.xbox.com
02:32and my blog at MajorNelson.com.
02:35Thanks for watching.
