00:43I was foreman for a tree planting crew and I needed people to hire.

00:51I never thought I was going to find the love of my life out tree planting.
00:54We planted trees for three years out in BC.
00:59Then we decided to move to Nova Scotia in 2018.
01:02I'd never been out to Nova Scotia before that point.
01:04So I thought, you know, what's the worst that can happen?
01:07I fell in love with it and we never thought we would be here owning a tree planting company.
01:13I'm originally from Nova Scotia.
01:15We always went to the ocean in the summer and it was just so soothing listening to the waves.
01:20I loved it.
01:21And I'm originally from southern Saskatchewan.
01:23There are very few lakes and there's certainly no ocean.
01:26So when we moved here, I knew we needed to be near the water.
01:30We really enjoy, you know, going canoeing, paddle boarding, all of the awesome things that Nova Scotia has to offer.
01:39We've been in our rental now for about seven years.
01:42It is absolutely time to move on and get some more space for us and the business.
01:47So we're kind of looking around the Northumberland and Pictou County for our forever home.
01:53The wish list for the new house is oceanfront.
01:57We definitely need three bedrooms, one for us, one for guests, one for our home office.
02:04We want two bathrooms. I really like cathedral ceilings.
02:07I really want an open concept house, modern, clean lines.
02:12I'd love to have a deck with a view, a really nice backyard.
02:16And I also really want privacy so that, you know, when we are home, we can just relax, unwind, and

02:24I wouldn't mind having a fireplace.
02:26I love the heat, but Trevor likes things cold.
02:29If Trevor's going to be living in the same house as me, he's going to need AC.

18:41I think there's a lot of good things with that property.
18:43But what did you think about Coastal Loft?
18:45Walking in that house is just like a slap in the face.

18:50Like this is a waterfront property, but there is a trail running right through it.
18:56The house is literally turnkey though.
18:59But does it give us everything that we would need for the business?

20:09We've been in the house for two months now and life here has been pretty amazing so far.

20:19It's basically like living in our very own vacation home.
20:22And the best part, we didn't have to bust out any walls.
20:27I just love having a coffee, chilling out in the hammock.
20:31It's my happy place.
20:33And I love being able to grab all of our equipment out of the garage.
20:36Now it's just easy peasy.
20:38At first, one of the biggest things that did concern me about this property was the lack of privacy.
20:44The fact that there is a trail right here.
20:46But I wasn't expecting the lifestyle that that actually brings.
20:49It is really amazing.
20:51We can just hop on the trail and have our own little piece of tranquility without having to go anywhere.
20:56Which is exactly what we wanted.
20:59We have zero regrets with getting this property.
21:03This is somewhere we want to grow old together and just be our own little slice of heaven.
