00:48We have been married for 47 years.
00:50We have two children. Our son Damon and then our daughter came along about 7 years later and her name
00:57is Tiana.
00:58And then our granddaughter, Carlo, who is 10 years old this year.
01:02Our dog's name is Fallon and he's absolutely attached to me.
01:06People say, why do you have a horse in your house? It's only a dog.
01:10I walk Fallon every morning. To have a beautiful place to walk along the ocean would just be amazing rather
01:15than walking them on city streets.
01:18We've been living in the Okanagan Valley on the west coast for 30 years.
01:22We have chosen the east coast because my daughter fell in love with the east coast.
01:28And they were coming. And if they were going, then they weren't going to take my granddaughter away from me.
01:34So we then decided that we would come out to the east coast. It's family. It's all about family.
01:40The wish list for the new house is, of course, oceanfront.
01:44We'll take ocean view if that's the right house.
01:47We just need a two bedroom house and one bath. We don't need anything more.
01:51When I walk into a house, I look at the kitchen. I cooked professionally for many years.
01:56So a kitchen to me is more important than the size of my master bedroom.
02:00I'm a computer geek and an online guy, so I need office space.
02:03I might have a propensity to buy too many clothes. I need a walk-in closet.
02:10So I either need a room that can be turned into one or it comes with one.
02:14We could get a three bedroom house. You don't have to turn one of the bedrooms into a walk-in

02:20I want enough land to build a greenhouse, grow a garden, chickens, whatever, quail. I haven't quite decided yet.

02:32The budget is $350,000, but we can stretch it up to about $4,000 if it gives us everything

19:55We picked this house because of the yard, because of the ocean.
19:59All you have to do is just stand on the porch and you get ocean breeze, you get ocean smell.

20:07Well, we've been here for a bit and everything's unpacked.
20:09Everything fit where we want it and it feels like home now.
20:12With the extra money, we put it into a dome greenhouse and I've got my hands back in the dirt.
20:19I did get my dream walk-in closet.
20:23We ended up with an unutilized storage space that Michael turned into a wonderful walk-in closet for me.
20:30And I'm truly pleased with it.
20:31The chickens and the quail, the chickens are a ways off because I have to yet build the chicken coop.
20:40That's my next project.
20:43Fallon's loving it.
20:44It's every day we get to go walk along the sea.
20:46It's kind of cool for me to be able to take my granddaughter to school, take her to the library
20:50and do all those kinds of things.
20:53The best thing about this entire decision is the acceptance that we got when we moved here.
20:58We're part of the community without even really asking.
21:01And it feels like home almost immediately.
21:04To the view, I've always dreamed of.
21:06To the backyard, I've dreamed of.
