00:42We were, I'd say, one of the pioneers of online dating in London.
00:46I think we both nearly bailed on the way to meet up.
00:49But really from that very first date, we were inseparable.
00:52We shocked my family when I think we'd known each other for a year
00:55and then was like, oh hey, by the way, we're moving to Canada.
00:58And we've got two kids.
01:00Our daughter Malia is 13 and our son Finlay is 10.
01:04We've had a great 15 years on the West Coast with them.
01:07And now as they're getting a little older, looking to try something new.
01:11Both our kids are way happier when we're by the water.
01:13I think that that's a priority for us because it's a very grounding place to be on the water.
01:20One of the things we love the most actually about the ocean is when it's windy and kind of crazy
01:25and wild.
01:26And we make a point actually of getting out to the beach when it's stormy.
01:29So we are both really avid surfers.
01:32We both learned to surf before we were together.
01:35And then it's been a common thread through a lot of our early relationship.
01:39Our place right now in BC, it's been a great home for us as the kids have been growing up.
01:44As they get older and we want to try and get back to see my family back in the UK
01:48more often.
01:49The distance from BC back to the UK is becoming increasingly challenging.
01:54We knew we would never want to be away from the coast.
01:57And we were watching Anna Green Gables with our kids for the first time.
01:59And we were just kind of thinking like, hmm, I wonder what houses cost on the East Coast.
02:04And we sort of spiraled from there.
02:07Things that I'm looking for on our wish list would be the ability to walk to the water.
02:12The house we're looking for would ideally have four bedrooms.
02:15We'd have one as a guest bedroom.
02:17Two bathrooms would be great.
02:18Now that the kids are getting older, the open concept plan really doesn't work for us.
02:24Having a space within the house for the kids that just be separate from the living room.
02:28Ideally, like a rec room would be great.
02:30I work from home, so I would definitely be looking for an office space.
02:34Some land so that we can put in a garden and just have some space for the kids to roam.
02:39Some privacy would be nice.
02:41Where we differ maybe is I like that clean, simple, minimalist house.

02:49Our budget is around $600,000.
02:52Depending on the property.
02:53So I'm willing to kind of look at options.

20:53As for next steps, we're really just looking forward to settling into the house
20:57and to settle into our new life on the East Coast.
