00:28He bragged as he hopped around on a lush, green field.
00:33Then, the hare spotted a tortoise walking along the path.
00:37Hey Mr. Tortoise, you're so slow.
00:39You couldn't win a race against me even if you started yesterday.
00:43He mocked at the poor creature.
00:46Wise and calm, the tortoise replied.
00:49Well, Mr. Hare, I may be slow, but I believe I can beat you in a race.
00:54The arrogant hare burst into laughter.
00:56You beat me in a race.
00:59That's the funniest joke I've ever heard.
01:02You really think you're faster than me.
01:04All right, let's race.
01:06I'll run circles around you and show everybody that you're wrong.
01:10He challenged the tortoise.
01:12I accept your challenge.
01:14Let's race from here to the beach.
01:16The tortoise replied.
01:17On the day of the race, a large crowd of animals gathered around the starting point.
01:23Everyone is excited to watch the race between the fastest and the slowest.
01:28The hare and the tortoise stood side by side behind the starting line.
01:32The fox, who had agreed to be the judge, took a deep breath and shouted,
01:38Ready, set, go.
01:40And the race was on.
01:42Without hesitation, the hare bolted forward, kicking up dust with his powerful legs.
01:48The tortoise, on the other hand, plodded slowly but confidently.
01:52Within seconds, the hare was so far ahead that he couldn't see the tortoise behind him.
01:59This is too easy.
02:00I could take a break and still win.
02:03He smirked.
02:04He found a shady spot under a tree, curled up, and soon fell asleep.
02:09Despite being far behind, the tortoise didn't give up.
02:13He kept moving forward, one steady step at a time.
02:17After some time, he caught up with the hare, who was snoring loudly under a tree.
02:22He didn't wake the hare up and continued trudging along slowly.
02:26Before long, the tortoise reached the beach, where he could see the finish line.
02:31The animals cheered so loudly for him that they woke the hare up.
02:35Confused, the hare wondered,
02:37What's happening?
02:39Why is everybody cheering?
02:41He got up on his feet and ran as fast as he could toward the beach.
02:45When he arrived, he saw the tortoise just one foot from the finish line.
02:50Wait a minute.
02:51How did he get in front of me?
02:53He exclaimed.
02:55Despite a desperate final dash, it was too late.
02:58The tortoise had won the race.
03:00The fox declared.
03:02The tortoise wins.
03:03The crowd erupted in cheers.
03:05Hip, hip, hooray.
03:07Hip, hip, hooray.
03:10Everybody was thrilled with the unexpected victory, except the hare.
03:14Tired and embarrassed, he slumped down beside the tortoise and sobbed in disgrace.
03:20The hare couldn't believe he lost the race to the slowest animal in the forest.
03:25How did you beat me?
03:26He asked with his head hung low.
03:29The triumphant tortoise smiled and replied,
03:32Slow and steady wins the race.
03:34Humbled by the defeat, the hare never bragged and made fun of the other animals again.
03:40To achieve success, one needs to be patient and persistent rather than hasty and careless.
03:46That's the moral of the hare and the tortoise.
