00:00Welcome to Fabulous Fables, where little stories have big lessons.
00:04Today, we're going to hear an interesting story about three little pigs who have to fend for themselves in a
00:11dangerous world.
00:13Will they survive? Let's find out.
00:16Once upon a time, in a vast and quiet meadow, there dwelled a mother pig who raised three piglets.
00:23As a single parent, she struggled to provide enough food for them.
00:28So, she decided to send them out into the world to live on their own.
00:33Before bidding farewell, she gave a word of advice to her children.
00:37Remember, little ones, it's a dangerous world out there.
00:41Make sure you build a sturdy house to keep yourselves safe.
00:45So, the three little pigs hugged their mother, waved goodbye, and set out to find the best spots to build
00:53their homes.
00:53The smallest pig was very lazy.
00:56He sought the easiest and quickest way to build a house, so he could spend more time relaxing and playing.
01:03After walking a short distance, he came across a big pile of straw and started making a house out of
01:09it.
01:10In no time, he finished building his new home.
01:13It was a simple and fragile house that provided little protection from danger.
01:18A little while later, a big bad wolf passed by and saw the straw house.
01:23I can smell a tasty piglet inside.
01:26He said to himself, as his mouth began to water,
01:29He'll make a great lunch.
01:31So, he knocked on the door and called out,
01:35Hey, little pig, can I come in and play with you?
01:39The small piglet peeked outside and caught a glimpse of the big, scary wolf.
01:44He took a step back and shouted,
01:47No way!
01:48Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!
01:51Okay, then,
01:52I'll huff, I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!
01:56The wolf growled.
01:57And so he did.
01:59The straw house collapsed in an instant,
02:01but the little pig jumped out and escaped through a wheat field.
02:05In the meantime, the second pig found a clearing in the forest
02:09that seemed like the perfect spot for his new home.
02:13He was older and more diligent than his youngest sibling,
02:16but he was also somewhat lazy.
02:19He decided to build a house with sticks collected from the forest floor.
02:23The house of sticks took more time and effort to build,
02:27but it was stronger than the straw house.
02:30As he was resting in his cozy house,
02:32the middle pig heard a knock on the door.
02:34It was his younger brother.
02:36The wolf destroyed my house.
02:39The poor piglet whimpered sadly.
02:41Can I please stay here?
02:43Of course, little brother.
02:45My house is made of sticks, so it will keep us safe.
02:49The older pig reassured him.
02:51The next morning,
02:52the big, bad wolf came by the house of sticks and rapped at the door.
02:57Hey, little pigs, he cried.
03:00I know you're in there.
03:01Open up and let me in.
03:03Not a chance.
03:05Not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins.
03:07The two pigs said firmly.
03:09Then, I'll huff, I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down.
03:14The wolf roared.
03:15After several failed attempts,
03:17he took a deeper breath and blew the house to the ground,
03:20sending sticks flying in all directions.
03:23The wolf tried to catch the two little pigs,
03:26but they disappeared into the bushes.
03:28The eldest of the three little pigs was smart and hardworking.
03:32He wanted to build a brick house that's both comfortable and indestructible.
03:38He walked all the way to the brickyard and gathered all the materials needed to build his home.
03:44Working all day and all night,
03:46he constructed a beautiful and sturdy house.
03:50It had a fireplace and a chimney,
03:53and it looked like it could stand up to the strongest winds.
03:57Feeling proud, he sat in his chair and admired his new home.
04:02Suddenly, he heard somebody knocking on the door.
04:05Standing outside were his two brothers.
04:07The wolf blew our houses down.
04:10They moaned.
04:11Can we stay here with you, please?
04:14Sure.
04:15Come on in, said the third pig.
04:18My house is built with bricks.
04:20It will protect us from the horrible wolf.
04:22At the break of dawn,
04:24the big bad wolf arrived at the house of bricks.
04:27Little pigs, let me in.
04:29He bellowed, sounding more desperate than before.
04:32No, not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins.
04:36The brothers shouted back.
04:38All right then.
04:39I'll huff, I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down.
04:43The wolf snarled with all his might.
04:47He huffed and puffed and huffed and puffed and huffed and puffed.
04:51However, no matter how hard he blew,
04:54he couldn't bring the brick house down.
04:57Feeling tired and frustrated,
04:58he tried to come up with another plan to enter the house.
05:02Then, the third pig went to the door and hollered,
05:06The wolf isn't very smart.
05:09He won't think of coming down the chimney to eat us.
05:12Ah, that's a great idea.
05:14The wolf thought,
05:15I'll sneak in through the chimney and surprise them.
05:19But it was a trap.
05:20The clever pig had hung a big pot of water in the fireplace.
05:24When he heard the wolf coming down the chimney,
05:27he lifted the lid off the pot.
05:29And plop, the wolf fell into the scalding water.
05:33Ouch, ouch.
05:34He yelped in pain and quickly scrambled back up the chimney.
05:39Then, he ran into the woods, never to be seen again.
05:43As for the three little pigs,
05:45they lived together happily ever after in the house of bricks.
05:48The moral of three little pigs is that proper planning,
05:52hard work,
05:52and persistence pay off in the long run.
05:55Don't take shortcuts, kiddos.
