00:00Welcome to Fabulous Fables, where little stories have big lessons.
00:04Today, we're going to share the classic fairy tale, Jack and the Beanstalk.
00:09This story follows a small boy who uses his resourcefulness and bravery to overcome danger and poverty.
00:17Let's begin.
00:18Once upon a time, in a quaint village nestled in the hills,
00:23there was a boy called Jack who lived with his grandmother in a small cottage.
00:28The two of them were so poor that they often had to go hungry.
00:32The only valuable thing they had was a cow named Bessie, who provided them with fresh milk every day.
00:39One morning, the grandmother found that the cow had stopped giving milk, leaving them with no food at all.
00:45So, she called out to her grandson, Jack, take Bessie to the market and sell her.
00:52With the money, we can feed ourselves for a long time.
00:56So, Jack took Bessie and set out for the market.
01:00He hadn't gone very far when he encountered a strange-looking traveler.
01:05Good morning, young fella.
01:07The man greeted him.
01:08Where are you going with that fine cow?
01:11I'm going to the market to sell her.
01:13He replied.
01:14Well, you can sell your cow to me for these magic beans, the traveler said.
01:20Just plant them, and they'll grow into something amazing.
01:23The beans did look special, and the man seemed so confident.
01:28So, the boy decided to make the trade.
01:31When Jack's grandmother saw what he had sold the cow for, she was furious.
01:35You traded our cow for these beans, she shouted.
01:39What a fool you are!
01:41Feeling upset, she tossed the beans out the window.
01:44That night, the poor child went to bed hungry and heartbroken.
01:49When he woke up the next morning, Jack opened the window, looked outside, and gasped.
01:55To his amazement, a giant beanstalk had grown in front of the cottage overnight.
02:00The plant reached up to the sky and disappeared into the clouds.
02:04Curious and excited, the boy climbed the beanstalk to find out what was at the top.
02:10He kept climbing and climbing and climbing until he reached the clouds.
02:15There, he discovered a strange land with a golden path that led to a colossal stone castle.
02:22Inside the castle, everything was way bigger than anything Jack had ever seen.
02:27All of a sudden, he heard a loud voice.
02:30Fee-fee-fo-fum.
02:31I can smell the blood of a young boy.
02:33Whether he's dead or alive, I'll grind my bread with his bones.
02:38It was a giant.
02:39Without hesitation, Jack hid under an enormous chair, trembling with fear.
02:44The giant looked around the room, but he couldn't find the boy.
02:49Feeling hungry, he sat down at the dining table and gobbled down a sumptuous meal.
02:55After he finished eating, he placed his magical hen on the table and commanded,
03:00Lay!
03:01And the hen instantly laid a large egg of pure gold.
03:05Then, the giant brought out his magical harp, which could play beautiful music by itself.
03:12Play!
03:12He barked.
03:14The obedient harp proceeded to sing a soothing lullaby.
03:17It went on until the giant fell asleep and began snoring like thunder.
03:22Seeing his chants, Jack quickly snuck out from under the chair, climbed onto the table,
03:28and grabbed the harp and the hen.
03:30However, as he was heading toward the door, the harp suddenly cried out,
03:35Help!
03:36Master!
03:37Someone is stealing me away!
03:39Waking up with a start, the giant saw Jack escaping with his magical treasures.
03:44He growled with fury and chased after the boy.
03:48Clutching the hen and the harp tightly, Jack ran off as fast as his legs would carry him.
03:54When he arrived at the huge beanstalk, he immediately started climbing down.
03:59It wasn't long before the nimble boy's boots hit the ground.
04:03Grandma!
04:04He shouted,
04:05Quick!
04:06Bring me the axe!
04:07Moments later, his grandmother came rushing out with an axe.
04:11Jack seized the axe and started chopping away at the beanstalk.
04:15With each chop, the giant felt the beanstalk quiver and shake.
04:20Feeling afraid, he tried to climb back up to the top.
04:23However, it was too late.
04:25But, summoning all his might, Jack gave the beanstalk one last chop that sent it tumbling down.
04:32And down came the giant, plunging to his death with a deafening crash.
04:37Thanks to the magical harp and the golden eggs, Jack and his grandmother had more money, food, and music than
04:45they could ever hope for.
04:46So, they lived comfortably and happily from then on.
04:51Jack and the beanstalk shows us the importance of being positive and making the best of a bad situation.
04:57Be brave and optimistic.
