02:01cheesecake it's a bit honestly it's a bit horrifying lady of leisure Michaela certainly wasn't a big fan
02:08babe that's so spicy Tuesday night unfortunately food wise was really bad the foods just didn't go
02:17together and it was all kind of really experimental because we're having fun together but luckily his
02:24musical skills took the edge off his kitchen calamities the sing-song on Tuesday was definitely a
02:29highlight for me and I think it was a highlight for everyone else my life was also made even better
02:37by having some homemade additions as well particularly in the bread department I think maybe I've got the
02:42end bit maybe it's a bit chewy last night's host sales director Martina brought a taste of the orient
02:47with her Thai curries loving the red curry very nice like the thickness of it is perfect wow what's
02:54this but it was her plastic prosecco urn that really struck a chord with Dave thanks you're welcome
03:00Martina loved the prosecco urn it was an interesting addition I thought it would do more than it did
03:08I feel that I'm gonna win because Monday's was good and Tuesday's wasn't that good and Wednesday's was
03:14absolutely brilliant sadly for you Martina you're in second place comfortably ahead of Dave who's last
03:21with 20 but behind Michelle who's in the lead on 29 I'd say my menu today has been inspired by
03:28my past
03:29and my present you know where I came from meals my mother used to make me and kind of where
03:35I've now
03:36come and the meals I have now well the first course Shane will be starting now is his dessert sticky
03:42toffee
03:43pudding with homemade clotted cream ice cream this dessert is a definitely a safe option so it'll
03:49be interesting to see whether he's added any twists to it first up the ice cream Shane takes egg yolks
03:57add sugar and then whisks sticky toffee pudding should be served with maybe clotted cream
04:05and loads of caramel sauce into a pan goes milk then double cream
04:11this is about as liquid as Martina's soup it's actually clotted cream but I do see the resemblance
04:16it's warmed then mixed with the egg yolks it may look like scrambled egg but this is scrambled
04:23pre-ice cream I assure you is it homemade ice cream though it most certainly is the eggy milky mixture
04:31is then sieved and left to cool gross feels like I'm cutting a pile of slugs more slimy than sticky
04:39surely for the sticky toffee pudding Shane chops dates which are then added to water and bicarbonate
04:45of soda I have literally just now fallen in love with sticky toffee pudding I thought it scared me
04:51to try because it's not very pleasing looking you should see the ice cream butter and two types of
04:58brown sugar are mixed then everything is given a very very slow whisk it may look like it's going
05:05wrong but sometimes you've got to truly persevere in go flour baking powder and that too gets a whisk
05:15in go the sticky dates and yep that gets a mix as well finally it's spooned into individual pots
05:22and then heads in to chill Shane will bake them tonight
05:28on to the main jamaican style beef short rib with rice and peas and plantain
05:35I love ribs I love rice and plantains nice as well my main course is inspired by my mother she
05:43used to make
05:45oxtail using this recipe so what I've done here is now I'm kind of using the exact same method and
05:52seasonings for cooking to cook short rib short ribs are good messy things are about to get smoky
05:59in a sizzling pan Shane sears his short ribs I like jamaican style ribs I like rice I like peas
06:06and I like plantain emergency evacuate evacuate my smoke alarm talk I'm excited for this we'll see if he makes
06:18it like a thousand dollar dish though in goes stock before chopped tomatoes and the secret ingredient
06:27my mother would be very very upset if I did not pop a scotch bonnet in my meat I always

07:17excited oh I do love scallops got these scallops from the fishmonger yesterday fresh big beautiful
07:29I really love seafood so I'm looking forward to having some scallops as he'll be cooking all of his starter
07:36later Shane simply gives the scallops a clean then pops them back in the fridge I love scallops
07:43looking forward to that immensely that should be really good for the sauce he assembles garlic loads
07:51of butter and chopped parsley then everything is given a final blitz Shane will combine all the saucy
