00:0035 days away from the NFL draft.
00:04What's up, ladies and gentlemen?
00:05This is your Mock Draft 5.0 from the New York Post.
00:09We're one week closer to the Jets and Giants.
00:12Darren Mouji and Joe Shane, Aaron Glenn, and John Harbaugh
00:16drafting the future of New York football for four weeks.
00:19We've switched it up.
00:20We've switched it up when it comes to our picks.
00:22And in this week's Mock Draft, we've got another plot twist for you guys.
00:27We're doing two rounds.
00:28Two rounds!
00:30Two is better than one.
00:32You heard the man.
00:33Two is always better than one.
00:36Always.
00:36Don't get me started.
00:38Don't get me started.
00:39Two rounds, one show.
00:40You thought about it before I did.
00:41You did.
00:42You see that, but you were thinking it.
00:45Oh, my gosh.
00:46Brandon London here.
00:47We've been in New York too long, bro.
00:48We've got to get out of here.
00:49Way too long.
00:50I need to go back to Virginia.
00:51Brandon London here repping Blue Rush.
00:54Frankie Vitterini from Gangs Are Here.
00:56That's our Jets and Giants show for the New York Post.
00:59We told the people we had something for them this week.
01:01Two rounds.
01:02Your Jets have two 16 in the first.
01:0644 and what?
01:0733 and 44 in the second.
01:10The Giants have the fifth pick in the first.
01:12And then 37 in the second round.
01:14You always get more picks than me.
01:17I mean, that's what we've been doing, man.
01:18Yeah, you traded everybody away.
01:20You get all these daggone picks.
01:22We traded sauce and Quinn, and we should have that many picks.
01:25I mean, come on.
01:26Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:26They got something.
01:27You got a good little reward for that.
01:30We should have more picks.
01:31We should have way more picks for that.
01:32Devontae Adams cost us another pick, man.
01:34You know what I'm saying?
01:35All right, but before we start, I want to thank all the fans out there,
01:39everyone that's been watching, the engagement, the comments,
01:42whether they're nice or not so nice.
01:44It really doesn't matter.
01:45We got thick skin here.
01:47So we absolutely love the engagement, love the shout-outs, all that.
01:50So keep them coming.
01:52Keep them coming.
01:53You can fire clap.
01:54What do you call them these days?
01:55What does Cardi B do?
01:56Clap back.
01:57You can clap back at us.
01:59You can clap back.
02:00All right.
02:01I haven't seen her in a while.
02:02Did she come out with any new music recently?
02:04There was a little Stefan Diggs, a little disc that she put out at a concert,
02:10but not like an official song.
02:11But, hey, you as a Jet fan, you don't have to worry about that anymore.
02:16Should we get into this draft, man?
02:19Let's go, my man.
02:20I'm ready.
02:21All right, so here's how we're going to do this.
02:22We're not going to run through the first round.
02:25We'll obviously talk about our picks.
02:27But the gold is in the second round because we've got three picks to talk about,
02:31two for him, one for me.
02:33So we'll start it off just like we do each time with the first pick,
02:37first overall pick.
02:39We haven't seen it changed in any mock draft.
02:41I don't see it changing at all.
02:44The Las Vegas Raiders go with Fernando Mendoza,
02:47which now puts you, Frankie Mugi, Aaron Vitterini on the clock.
02:53Who else?
02:54I can't.
02:54Woody Vitterini.
02:57Don't go there.
02:58Don't go there.
02:58Frankie Johnson.
03:00I'll say this.
03:01If I ever own the Jets, man, I'll tell you right now.
03:03I think I'd build a winner, bro.
03:05I have a feeling.
03:06I think I would.
03:07I think I'd be.
03:08I need to hire people like you and some other people,
03:11the beautiful people here at the New York Post Sports,
03:13and I need to bring them in.
03:15Frankie, your badge works.
03:16You don't have to.
03:17You've got too many compliments.
03:18You're good, bro.
03:19You're good, bro.
03:20All right, man.
03:21You're on the clock.
03:21Yeah, my badge works until David Bailey becomes a bust-up.
03:24Yeah, so at two, we've been going through this every week.
03:30Do you go with Arvel Reese?
03:32Do you go with David Bailey?
03:33We've spoken about Sonny Stiles too recently.
03:36Listen, the pick's going to be Arvel Reese at two for the Jets.
03:40Most mocks have that as the pick.
03:42I think when you look at what the Jets want to do with these odd fronts,
03:46how they're looking for an outside linebacker,
03:48someone that's not a liability against the run,
03:51someone who's young, you could mold them.
03:53It's Arvel Reese.
03:55Arvel Reese was not only someone on tape that's very impressive.
03:59The guy's a freaking missile, man.
04:01When he's got that target and he's ready to seek it,
04:04he's going to find it and destroy.
04:05That's how good he is at just tracking things down.
04:08What is this, the war without rain right now?
04:10Dude, he –
04:10Like, seek and destroy and all.
04:13Bro, I'm telling you, the way he plays football –
04:15Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:16Without a doubt.
04:17Now, when things get in his way and things are a little more clunky,
04:20I don't know if he's that clean.
04:22I question also with him, because when things are clean,
04:27he's the best defensive player in this draft.
04:29When things aren't clean, though,
04:31I question his ability to get to the quarterback without it being clean.
04:36Do you have a secondary, tertiary pass rush move?
04:39Which is why, if it was up to me, I would take David Bailey at two.
04:43But for all sakes and purposes, the Jets are likely going to take Arvel Reese.
04:49For this mock, we have Arvel Reese going to the Jets at two.
04:52The chess piece that Aaron Glenn is going to look at
04:55and I think is going to end up selecting come April 23rd.
04:57Well, real quick, I don't want you to worry too much about him
05:00getting to the quarterback, whether it's clean or unclean.
05:02That's what Aaron Glenn said.
05:03That's on him.
05:04That's on the coaching staff right there,
05:06because remember he said he wants to bring in coaches
05:09that are going to develop players.
05:10So if you draft this guy because of what he's put on tape already,
05:15then you as a defensive coordinator slash head coach,
05:18you and your staff now have to get him ready
05:22to where he can't be a one-trick pony when it comes to what?
05:25Is it just a spin move?
05:27Is it just a rip?
05:28You've got to give him the tools to get towards a quarterback.
05:31So loving the pick, loving what you're doing
05:33on that defensive side of the football,
05:35because I know you Jets fans are tired of seeing people
05:38just go up and down the field when it came to that defense last year.
05:44Knock out these next two, and I'll go at five.
05:48And don't hurt me with these next two, because you know who I want.
05:53Go ahead and run through those, bro.
05:54Yeah, we'll go through it.
05:55So the Cardinals at three, Francis Malagawa.
05:58Okay, so every Giants fan is like that.
06:00You guys like that.
06:01You may not like that, though,
06:03considering how good this kid could be on a football field.
06:05Just saying.
06:06Because I know who I want at five right now,
06:08so keep going because Salah, Brian Dable, don't screw us over with this.
06:14So at four, the Tennessee Titans can go in a few different directions here.
06:18They can go offense.
06:19They can go defense.
06:20They have a defensive coach, obviously, in Salah.
06:23We have them taking probably the most athletic running back
06:27to come out of the draft since Saquon Barkley.
06:31You have Jeremiah Love.
06:33I got to look at that.
06:34Bang, bang.
06:35Bang, about 70% actually of mocks have him going there or in the top four,
06:40excuse me, so within those picks.
06:42So it's not really a good chance you guys are going to get him at five.
06:46But, yeah, so we have the Titans getting him.
06:49He's going to help out Cam Ward in that offense.
06:50They need some firepower.
06:52I got to look at that.
06:53I got to look at that pick with the George Pickens pick face, LARP.
06:57Like, I'm upset with that.
06:59You know I've been on the Apple box screaming for Jeremiah Love,
07:03so now I can see the Giants' war room, which is, like, top tier.
07:08It's like modern.
07:08It's got, like, lasers and lights and LED lights and stuff in it.
07:11It's like a club in there, bro.
07:13It's like Pasha in there.
07:13Yeah, they're probably playing Afrobeats in there or something.
07:16It's like they're in Ibiza.
07:17You guys should check it out online.
07:19So now we've got to pivot.
07:20They play music in there, too?
07:23Joe Shane, the music guy.
07:25Joe Shane, turn it up, baby.
07:27I'll pull up to the war room.
07:29So now we've got to pivot.
07:30We've got to pivot because the running back we wanted is now off the clock.
07:34So what do we do?
07:35You know, John, what do we do?
07:36You know, Brendan Brown, assistant GM, what are we going to do?
07:40Go to the next best player in this draft that's on the board.
07:45Go get a guy.
07:47Who am I going to go get?
07:48I'm John Harbaugh.
07:49I say, hey, guys, I got this.
07:50I've coached Ed Reed, Eric Waddell.
07:54I've coached Earl Thomas.
07:56I am a safety machine.
07:59Kyle Hamilton, let's go get Caleb Downs with the fifth pick.
08:03This kid, when you look at his tape, I've played against Ed Reed twice in a season.
08:10Miami Dolphins 2008, they beat us in the regular season.
08:15They beat us in the wild card round.
08:16And then I tried to make the team with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
08:19I've been around Troy Palomato.
08:21Caleb Downs is the closest thing in the NFL I've seen to those two dudes.
08:26He shows he'll be off the camera or off the film and then show up, run the alley, and blow
08:31up and play and get a tackle for loss.
08:33The kid is smart.
08:34He's athletic.
08:35He's got pedigree.
08:37I understand people are going to be like, you've got Javon Holland.
08:40You've got Tyler Newbin.
08:43So?
08:44Yeah.
08:45This is one of them kids where I'm like, so?
08:49Meet your new teammate in your competition.
08:52Caleb Downs, the boy is a dog, man.
08:54So the Giants, we had to pivot.
08:56Obviously, we wanted to go Jeremiah Love, but Caleb Downs, you don't see anybody booing that pick.
09:02And the Giants need, again, a tone setter.
09:05We spoke about this last week when you took Sonny Stiles there.
09:10But you have enough in that front seven.
09:13Absolutely.
09:13You do.
09:14Yes, would Sonny Stiles be that maybe last piece to make it a dominant front seven?
09:19Yes.
09:19You need someone to set the tone from a few yards back there that's coming up and really laying that
09:25hit stick, laying the boom.
09:28The Giants need that.
09:29They need somebody that when you go into MetLife or when they're coming to see you at your place, you're
09:35thinking about that guy.
09:36And he's going to make receivers think twice about going over the middle.
09:41And that's what Caleb Downs does.
09:43So that's the right pick, I think.
09:45I like that pick even better than Sonny, honestly.
09:47Yeah, and before I run through these next guys to get you through 16, I think about it.
09:52When you look at a defense, you've got to have a guy that people have his jersey on each level.
10:01In that first level, that defensive line, you see the sexy, dexy jerseys.
10:05You see the Brian Burns.
10:06They're stars.
10:07Second level, I can see guys getting the new linebacker, Tremaine Edmonds.
10:11You know, people love Michael McFadden, you know, some of the things he's done when he's healthy.
10:17And they play Burns a little bit off-ball, too.
10:20You can play him off-ball.
10:20But on the third level, whose jersey are you buying?
10:24That's true.
10:25Caleb Downs from day one, his jersey sales will skyrocket because people will be excited.
10:31You need that on the defense.
10:33You have to have multiple stars on multiple levels.
10:35It's like when you play Madden, you need stars, a pass rusher, you need stars at a backer, an impact
10:41player, and then you need an impact player in the secondary.
10:44I think this kid gets that star right away.
10:47Let's run through some of these to get to you at 16.
10:51I'll just go a couple, and I'll just pass it off to you.
10:54Oh, falling number eight.
10:57Isaiah Simmons, 5.0.
11:00Sonny Stiles goes to the Saints.
11:03Your boy, David Bailey, falls to nine to the Chiefs.
11:07The Bengals try and shore up the defense, and they get Mansoor Delane, who I wanted the Giants to trade
11:14back from five and be able to pick up a Mansoor Delane.
11:17Because, again, you need that guy on that third level.
11:21And then the Dolphins get your guy, Jordan Tyson.
11:23Now you've got to see him twice a year.
11:27Eric Waddle, gone.
11:28Jordan Tyson in the AFC East.
11:31Go ahead.
11:32Let me keep going to set you up for 16.
11:35The Cowboys, Reuben Baines.
11:37Well, let me say this really quick with Jordan Tyson.
11:38Jalen Waddle, gone.
11:40Yep.
11:40Now, with Tyson there, we had Lemon being the first receiver off the board.
11:45Yep.
11:45Tate, people are concerned a little bit about his speed.
11:52And his route running ability is predicated a lot on his speed.
11:57So, because he's not a low 4'4 guy, he is comped a little bit to a Brian Thomas Jr.
12:05in his route tree.
12:06So, we had Lemon going first, Dog.
12:09Tate second.
12:10And now, the Dolphins trading Jalen Waddle.
12:13Yep.
12:14They're going to need a receiver.
12:16And they might take him later on because they have two picks in the first.
12:19But, for this draft, we have them taking the next best receiver or who I think maybe is the best
12:23receiver, Jordan Tyson.
12:25So, just throwing that out there.
12:26At 12, Reuben Bain Jr.
12:28The Rams get Monroe Freeling from – at 13, offensive tackle from Georgia.
12:36The Ravens at 14, Kenyon Sadiq.
12:39We like that pick.
12:39We like – I like that pick.
12:41You know, I really like that pick.
12:42Mark Andrews getting a little bit older.
12:44You lost Isaiah Likely.
12:46At 15, Akeem Mesidor, edge rusher for the Buccaneers.
12:51Their defense was absolutely atrocious last year.
12:54They had to sign JPP off the street.
12:56He hadn't played in two years.
12:58And you sign JPP.
12:59That lets you know you're edge.
13:02They're struggling.
13:03And now, sir, you are back on the clock.
13:07All right, ladies and gentlemen.
13:11You know what football is at the end of the day?
13:14Or do you know how you win football games?
13:16How's that?
13:17What's the core to football?
13:19Football is I'm mentally defeating you.
13:23And I'm going to do it physically on a football field.
13:28So, I'm going to defeat you mentally.
13:29And then I'm going to prove it physically.
13:31You put that on a fortune cookie.
13:33You like that, right?
13:33That was bars.
13:34That was bars.
13:35That was bars.
13:35I don't even know if that even made sense, but that was bars.
13:37Keep going.
13:41Vega Ioane is a type of offensive lineman that just sets the tone up front.
13:48The Jets now with Olufashanu, who's a little bit of a thinner left tackle.
13:53And you have Tipman, who is a center but plays guard.
13:58He's a better guard.
14:00Josh Myers is a swing sort of between a backup, and he can play a little bit of interior line.
14:06But he's a backup center.
14:08And then Armand Membu was the right pick last year and someone that sets the tone.
14:12Now, we have this guy that we got from the Raiders in Dylan Parham, but he is not the long
14:22-term answer at guard for us.
14:24A.V.T.'s gone.
14:25John Simpson's gone.
14:26The Jets need a guy at guard that you can team up with these tackles, one of which is a
14:33thinner tackle in Olufashanu.
14:36Insert Vega Ioane right next to him, and you get the best of both worlds.
14:40You get a tackle who moves well in space, who's a thinner build, but really good with hand placement and
14:46technique.
14:46And then you get the big bruising guard next to him, the interior guy, that's going to clean up some
14:53of the dirty work.
14:54If someone gets across Olufashanu's face and he's got good positioning, Vega might give him a little bit of a
15:00bump there to kind of instill some will on the front line.
15:04That's the kind of guard you need.
15:06Not only is he physically a freak, the way he positions his hands, how explosive he is, how he anchors.
15:14He is, at his position, one of the best players in this draft.
15:18Shore up that O-line, get it out of the way.
15:20If the receivers are off the board and Sadiq's off, you can't get really cute with that pick.
15:27Do you want a corner?
15:28I don't want a corner right there.
15:30You might be able to take Jermad McCoy.
15:33I'd rather not.
15:34You know, you've got some of the safeties on the board, Thienemann, EMW.
15:38I'm good.
15:39I'm not taking Omar Cooper Jr. that high.
15:42I know some mocks have him going 16th.
15:44It's too high for my liking.
15:46Take the next best overall player if the receivers are off.
15:48Take Vega, Ioana, set that front line for the next five to seven years.
15:52So it sounds like you want to protect Geno, and you don't want Geno to cook.
15:57Because that could have been a spot where you grabbed a receiver opposite of Garrett Wilson to have Geno.
16:024,000-yard plus Geno.
16:05If you're going to do that, you've got to get him his Jackson Smith and Jigba, his DK Metcalf, his
16:11Tyler Lockett, and even his Noah Fant on there.
16:14But you're like, you know what?
16:16We're going to run the football.
16:17But that pick is more for Brees than it is for Geno.
16:21So I know what your identity is going to be here.
16:23Like, it looks like you want to play some hard-nosed defense and run the football to kind of protect
16:29Geno in that sense then.
16:30Is that what that pick is basically saying?
16:33Vega's both, man.
16:34Vega actually, people look at him physically speaking and consider him sometimes a better run blocker.
16:41He's not, though.
16:42He's actually a better pass blocker in a lot of ways because run blocking has some deficiencies moving at the
16:50second level.
16:51But when it comes to just anchoring, there's nobody that anchors.
16:55He's the guard version of Panay Sewell.
16:57But Panay Sewell's a really good run blocker, so it's a little different there.
17:00But, yeah.
17:01You're right, though.
17:02That's going to help Brees.
17:03Anytime you get depth and you bring in another guard, that always helps your running back out.
17:08Hold on.
17:09Let me check Twitter just to make sure.
17:10Brees didn't tweet after that pick right there.
17:14No, we're good.
17:15We're good.
17:16All right.
17:16Let's run through the back half of this first round so we can get back to you at 33 in
17:22the second round.
17:24So go ahead.
17:24Start us.
17:24Go ahead.
17:25Kick us off with 17 on.
17:27Yeah.
17:27So 17.
17:28Lions need an offensive tackle, but they also need someone on the interior line.
17:33Spencer Fano projects out to be a guard.
17:36His arm length came in today a little longer than normal.
17:38By the way, it's crazy that they can't get this arm length thing down.
17:42I don't know.
17:42Like, just have an objective standard to it.
17:45Jermon McCoy to the Vikings.
17:47Ah, the Giants.
17:48There's an opportunity they could have tried to trade back up to go get a corner.
17:52But keep going.
17:53Keep going.
17:55We had Keldrick Falk at 19 of the Panthers.
17:57And then the Cowboys getting Dylan Thienemann, which was a pick that a lot of people had maybe going to
18:03the Vikings.
18:04At 21, we've got Caden Proctor going to the Steelers.
18:08We don't know who their quarterback's going to be, but you might as well get somebody that can protect them.
18:13Yes, sir.
18:14At 22, Omar Cooper Jr. to the Chargers.
18:18Ah, I like that.
18:19The Giants could have traded up to grab a receiver there, but Cooper comes off the board.
18:25The Eagles with Blake Miller, offensive tackle from Clemson.
18:29Hope he's ready to block for the tush push.
18:31You were researching this name.
18:35I can't mess this one up.
18:37Max Hianichor.
18:38There you go.
18:38Max Hianichor to the Browns.
18:41The Browns end up.
18:42They're going to go, people think, OT and WR or WR and OT.
18:47We went WR and OT.
18:49So we got Max Hianichor, who's been shooting up boards since the Combine.
18:55EMW to the Bears.
18:56Bears need someone in the back half there.
18:59The Bills, we have taken C.J. Allen.
19:01They need an old school kind of linebacker to set that front.
19:04They have guys there, but they get hurt.
19:07My Italian Paisano there that plays linebacker.
19:10He's in and out of the lineup all the time.
19:12That hurts the Giants there because now you missed out on Sonny Stiles and C.J. Allen.
19:17Those are my top two linebackers in this draft.
19:20But, all right, it's looking thin at 37.
19:23Somebody might need to make a call and trade back up.
19:26Like, hey, what are we doing here?
19:28Keep rolling.
19:28Keep rolling so we can get to 33.
19:30Yes, sir.
19:32Caleb, Lomu.
19:33Yep.
19:3449ers need someone there with Trent on the way out.
19:37Left tackle in the purest way.
19:40Texans, beef up what you already have.
19:42A strength at.
19:43Add some more fuel to that fire.
19:44Get Caden McDonald there with those guys up front.
19:47Guys a beast as a one tech.
19:49The Chiefs making maybe the most interesting pick in this round.
19:52Do it.
19:53Yes, sir.
19:53Chris Bell.
19:54Get another first round talent wide receiver.
19:58They have a little bit of a timeline.
20:00He'll be back.
20:01I mean, he's not missing the year here.
20:03He'll be back at some point.
20:05Some people think he's a top three or four wide receiver in this draft.
20:09So, you're making a little bit of an assessment there.
20:10A projection.
20:12The Dolphins, we had them going receiver with Jordan Tyson early on.
20:16They have a need at corner.
20:18Avion Terrell out of Clemson is a lot of people.
20:21Corner two or three.
20:23Consensus is Mansoor's one.
20:25So, you're taking him at 30.
20:26That's good value.
20:27And I'm sitting here pretending in my head.
20:30I'm like, what are the Giants doing not trading up to grab a Bell or Avion Terrell?
20:36That's what I'm thinking in our mock draft right now.
20:38You need a receiver.
20:40You need a corner.
20:41What are we doing in our mock draft right now?
20:45Like, someone pick up the phone and make a trade.
20:47But let's keep rolling.
20:49They might stick to the plans.
20:51Stick to the vision.
20:52Yeah, the thing is, the end of this first round, there's going to be opportunities for teams to trade up
20:57into that end of the first round.
20:59Because, really, after the top 18 of 20 picks, you have a cluster, like 25 to 30 guys that you
21:06could project being the 25th pick or the 48th pick.
21:09So, there's going to be some movement there of teams loving a certain guy and wanting them.
21:13For sure.
21:13I'll take these last two because you've got 33.
21:17I love these next two picks, by the way.
21:19Again, this is a mock draft.
21:20I'm pretending like I'm talking to the Giants.
21:22You know there's going to be that comment.
21:24How can you be talking about the Giants like that?
21:26It's a mock draft.
21:28It's just like filling out a bracket for March Madness.
21:31Nobody knows.
21:3431 to the Patriots.
21:35TJ Parker, edge from Clemson.
21:38Mike Vrabel gets another defensive guy.
21:40You know, you build that defense.
21:41It's the Patriot way.
21:43And at 32, Jadarian Price.
21:46Oh, that's a good pick, man.
21:47The backup running back at Notre Dame.
21:49Underratedly good pick.
21:50So underrated.
21:51Both he and Jeremiah Love were sitting in these two seats.
21:55Can you smell the South Bend?
21:58Both of these two dudes were sitting in those two seats.
22:00So that rounds up the first round.
22:03Now we get to the action, folks.
22:06With the 33rd pick to kick off the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
22:12This is Friday now.
22:13We're in a Friday now.
22:14We went from Thursday night primetime to now.
22:17We had a nice little Thursday night.
22:18We should have changed our clothes.
22:21You know, some nice vino.
22:22Yeah, I showed up to work late that Friday morning because of the draft party the night before.
22:28All right, kick us off at 33, man.
22:30All right, 33.
22:31There's going to be a lot of calls, Brandon.
22:33It's like your phone on Friday nights.
22:35Just a lot, a lot of calls.
22:37I'm about to be exclusive in a little bit, bro.
22:40Hey, hey, hey.
22:41Luckily, she's not watching this, but keep going.
22:44I didn't know we were blowing up spots.
22:47But it's a mock draft.
22:49We don't do trades.
22:50And I think if the Jets like this guy enough, they'll take him.
22:54A little bit of an underrated name, but I think a first-round talent.
22:57I like myself a little bit of Colton Hood here.
23:00A cornerback out of Tennessee.
23:02This guy has some great footwork.
23:06It's clean.
23:06He's physical.
23:08He knows exactly what to do in contested situations.
23:12He's a guy that I think if he gets coached up by Glenn,
23:16and if Glenn can't coach up corners, then he can't coach up anybody.
23:19So let's be real here.
23:21We're going to pass up on getting Ty Simpson
23:24and some of the other corners that are there.
23:26I like Brandon Siss out of South Carolina.
23:30I also really like maybe there Chris Johnson that I would have flirted with there.
23:37But Colton Hood, I think if he's there in the second round,
23:41he's a first-round talent.
23:43He's in the 20s in a lot of drafts or even, you know, 18 range.
23:48So I'm taking him.
23:50I'm ending my cornerback excursion with that pick because we have AZ Thomas.
23:57You have Stevens, Nashawn Wrights back there.
24:00Don't invest too much in corners.
24:02It's not a position you want to invest in when you just traded sauce.
24:04Wait until things align there.
24:06So use that pick, see how you can develop them,
24:10and then we're going to be on the clock pretty soon.
24:13But you're almost on the clock.
24:14Really quick, is he more Revis or is he more sauce?
24:17Where do you sway to when you think of him?
24:19I mean, I can't even go either, man.
24:21Not even?
24:22No, I don't.
24:23I think Colton Hood.
24:24Can I get DJ Reed?
24:26Colton Hood is like, I hate using it,
24:30but you know the Lions corner that Glenn liked, Carlton Davis.
24:35Oh, Carlton Davis.
24:37So he's more like that.
24:38He's a little bit of a kind of jack-of-all-trade kind of corner.
24:42And I'm projecting what I think they're going to do.
24:44If he's there, I think that'll be someone they're going to key in on day two.
24:49All right.
24:50Run through these next three because the Giants,
24:52gosh, now you've taken another corner so we can't.
24:56So there's another corner that we have to –
24:59another corner off the board that we have to pivot from.
25:02So we've got these next three picks to kind of figure out what we're going to do,
25:06what direction we're going to go in here.
25:08But the next pick –
25:09Uh-oh.
25:10You're bored.
25:10Who's going to say it first?
25:12Let's rock, pay, this is a shoot.
25:13All right, rock, pay, this is a shoot.
25:14Ah, I got to say it.
25:16It's Ty Simpson, quarterback out of Alabama.
25:20More lunch, more lunch.
25:21Right now, that's a solid draft for the Cardinals.
25:25If you can get – no, it wasn't Jeremiah Love.
25:27They got the offensive tackle and they've got the quarterback all in one draft.
25:32And you've got the OC.
25:33Yeah, yeah, there you go.
25:35There you go.
25:3635 and 36.
25:38Cassius Howell should have been a first-round pick.
25:41Arm length's a concern.
25:42But the Titans, because they went Jeremiah Love, look at Edge in the second round.
25:47Nice little draft for them.
25:47And the Raiders, what do you got to do to team up with Mr. Mendoza over there?
25:52Get him a receiver.
25:53That's it.
25:54That's it.
25:55So get him a nice little receiver in Casey Concepcion, who I think they'd be able to want
26:02to work with there.
26:03And he could do a little bit of everything.
26:04You want your quarterback to have a little bit of an everything option underneath and
26:09over the top.
26:10And that leaves you on the clock, Mr. Brandon, at 37.
26:14You love this pick.
26:15Yeah, and this pick is going – it's not going to be – what is it?
26:18You get five minutes in the second round.
26:19It's not going to be one of those ones that come in with four minutes and 59 seconds.
26:23Come on.
26:24You should know who you want.
26:26Conception's off the board.
26:27Colton Hood, all those corners are already off the board.
26:30Just get it in so we can get to commercial a little bit faster.
26:33And with the 37th pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, the New York football Giants select Denzel
26:42Boston, wide receiver out of Washington.
26:45Bam.
26:46Bam.
26:47We're running through these names.
26:48I forgot this name.
26:50I forgot he was there.
26:52And this could be considered a steal.
26:54I call this guy Drake London 2.0.
26:57B London 10.0, but Drake London 2.0.
27:01Because of his size, he's not a burner in his speed, but neither is Drake London.
27:07And for damn sure, neither was Brandon London.
27:09But one thing that this kid does very well, like a Drake London and Brandon London off of
27:16the seven career catches he had in the NFL, he goes and he gets the rock.
27:20He is a 50-50 ball specialist.
27:23And when we talk about the red zone, I know that everyone's like, well, that big, tall
27:27possession receiver, that's kind of died these days.
27:30No, it doesn't.
27:31No, it has not.
27:33Because when you're talking about some of the red zone problems that the New York Giants
27:37have had in the past, they just haven't been able to have that guy outside of Malik neighbors
27:43that it's just like, hey, if Malik is double over there, that safety shaded over there, let's
27:49just take that one-on-one.
27:51It could be a jump ball.
27:52It could be a now route.
27:53It could be a slant, whatever it is.
27:56But the kid can also run routes.
27:58I need everybody to go watch his tape and go look at the way that he has route discipline.
28:02He has some tempo to him.
28:04And again, he's a 50-50 ball specialist.
28:07May not be a yak guy, but you brought in extra speed when it came to Darnell Mooney and Calvin
28:13Austin to third.
28:15So now you've got a plethora.
28:17You've got a myriad of choices within that receiver room to give to Jackson Dart.
28:22And on top of that, you've got Isaiah Likely as your TE1.
28:28This could round out with the healthy Malik neighbors.
28:32On paper, Giants always look good on paper.
28:35But if everyone's healthy and Matt Nagy is in his baggie, oh, I just made that up, then
28:40this Giants offense could look good.
28:42I'm cooking today.
28:43Oh, my gosh.
28:44Oh, my gosh, man.
28:45That was unbelievable.
28:46Let me run through 38-43, and I'll get you at 44.
28:5138th pick, the Texans take offensive linemen.
28:56Chase Besantis, interior offensive linemen.
29:00You've got to protect the money in a C.J. Stroud.
29:03The Browns take Emmanuel Pregnon, interior offensive linemen for Oregon.
29:09I guess you've got to protect Shador.
29:11You see the common theme here.
29:13You've got to protect these young quarterbacks, man.
29:16The money.
29:17Chiefs, you're talking about Brandon Cisse.
29:19He goes off the board.
29:21He now comes in and replaces Trent McDuffie.
29:25The Bengals.
29:26Physical corner.
29:27A.J. Halsey, safety from LSU.
29:29It's almost like you can't go wrong.
29:31The Bengals, with this mock draft, revamping that third level, as we talk about.
29:36You've got to have people on the third level that can cover and that can play,
29:40especially in the NFC North.
29:42At 42, the Saints take Jeremy Bernard, wide receiver Alabama.
29:49I think he's going to be a guy that he's going to be one of them second, third-round receivers
29:54that make an immediate impact, especially with the Saints.
29:57You've got Alave there.
29:58We don't know who that quarterback is going to be.
30:01I guess it's Tyler Shuck.
30:02Boy wonder.
30:03Kellen Moore likes that guy, so maybe that's the guy.
30:06The Dolphins get an offensive tackle from Northwestern.
30:09If the 43rd pick, Caleb Tiernan, you've got to protect Malik Willis.
30:15They already got the weapon.
30:16They've got a corner.
30:17Now you've got an offensive tackle.
30:20We're cooking on this mock, man.
30:22We're making too much sense here.
30:23It's way too much sense.
30:25But, again, it's just like your March Madness bracket.
30:28We just don't know.
30:30And now that leaves you on the clock at 44, sir.
30:34All right, man.
30:35I used this term last week or this phrase.
30:39What kills in the NFL?
30:40No, you used it like 20 minutes ago.
30:44You said you were like disciplined with mental and mental.
30:47My brain is – I think I'm cooked these days.
30:49Yeah, yeah, yeah.
30:50That was the fortune cookie that we had.
30:52Yeah, yeah, yeah.
30:52No, speed kills, my man.
30:54Absolutely.
30:54And you know what really kills?
30:56Even kills more than speed.
30:59Speed when you're tall and you got speed.
31:02Okay.
31:03When you're 6'4 and you got 437 speed, that really kills.
31:09And I think the Jets, if they're not going to be able to get themselves a wide receiver at 216
31:14or 33,
31:15at 44, you really need someone that's going to be able to do things to free up Garrett Wilson.
31:22Okay, there you go.
31:23So I have them taking Tennessee wide receiver who's been shooting up boards, who's been mocked in the first round
31:29a bunch, Chris Brazel.
31:31Okay.
31:32Chris Brazel is somebody that is a game changer at all levels of a football field.
31:39People feel like he hasn't reached his ceiling yet, and he just started to get going with a quarterback I
31:44really like in Joey Aguilar there in Tennessee.
31:47They were cooking a little bit.
31:49But they need somebody that's going to be able to get those safeties to honor that deep ball and give
31:55Garrett Wilson some real estate underneath,
31:58as does Mason Taylor need some real estate underneath.
32:02They're not getting any help out there with Arian Smith and A.D. Mitchell.
32:07I like him, but you can't fall in love with a guy that bounced around early in his career like
32:14that.
32:15Yeah, like, you know, bounced around on their depth chart, I'm saying.
32:17Like, you know, he's not someone you could depend on necessarily.
32:20He might be in it, but some days he might be out of it.
32:23Chris Brazel gives you the luxury that his speed, it's undeniable.
32:29He might be the A.D. Mitchell that maybe turned out, whereas people think A.D. maybe might not turn
32:36out.
32:36People have labeled him a bust.
32:38I'm not ready to go there.
32:39Get yourself a guy who's 6'4", that runs a 4-3-7, and had over 1,000 yards last
32:47year, nine touchdowns at Tennessee.
32:48So he could ball.
32:49He could ball.
32:49I like the pick because, I mean, I was giving you a little stuff earlier about protecting Gino and not
32:56letting him cook.
32:57Now this is the pick that allows Gino to cook.
33:00And I look at it, at 6'4", only 198, he's diet DK Metcalf, you know.
33:06DK Metcalf can run.
33:08This kid can run.
33:10But DK did it at, what, 225, 230.
33:13Yes, you got a guy.
33:15Oh, hold on.
33:17Garrett Wilson just tweeted, there we go, Mooj.
33:20Okay, Garrett Wilson is happy with the selection there.
33:24Absolutely.
33:25Oh, man, if you were in the NFL, you would tweet so much.
33:27Oh, my gosh.
33:28I was like one of the first players to get yelled at by Bill Parcells for some of my tweets
33:35back in the day.
33:36Were you really?
33:36Yeah, man.
33:37Bro, I was a knucklehead with social media back in the day.
33:40I didn't know.
33:42I didn't know what this – we had no clue.
33:44It was just – it was so fresh.
33:46Like, you didn't know.
33:47You were just writing what's on your head.
33:48I just started following you on Instagram, by the way.
33:51You did a good job on there, bro.
33:51I appreciate it, man.
33:52I appreciate it.
33:53You love social media.
33:54You're just a social media star, man.
33:55It's all right.
33:55It's all right.
33:56It's all right.
33:57It's all right.
33:58It's all right.
33:59Let's run through some more of these before we get to you back at –
34:03Yeah, I think we can just pinpoint a few people.
34:06Wait, wait, wait.
34:0644 – oh, that was your last one.
34:08Oh, yeah, that was the last one.
34:09Yeah, we're done.
34:10Yeah, let's pinpoint a couple of these, and then we'll close this thing out.
34:13So there's two linebackers that I really like in this draft.
34:16I actually – you can convince me that both of them are better than C.J. Allen in terms of
34:23what they'll give you in the NFL,
34:23and they end up going a few picks later from the Jets pick.
34:26The Buccaneers getting Anthony Hill Jr.
34:29We've mocked them getting C.J. Allen, but now they wait until the second round for that pick.
34:34Kid's a baller.
34:36He can do everything as a linebacker.
34:37He can cover.
34:38He can blitz.
34:39He can play a little edge, off ball, but he doesn't miss tackles.
34:43And then Jacob Rodriguez to the Colts.
34:45The Colts need someone on defense.
34:47That offense is always kind of humming to a degree.
34:49They have an offensive-minded coach.
34:50You need someone to kind of – maybe you're going to bend,
34:54but he'll be someone that doesn't allow you to break because Jacob Rodriguez makes plays.
34:59And that's it for linebacker until you have Josiah Trotter going later on, who I really like.
35:06That's Jeremiah Trotter's kid, right?
35:08Yeah, he's been shooting up boards.
35:09Dang, we're that old.
35:10The Chicago Bears kind of fixing that defense.
35:13Oh, my gosh.
35:13Yeah, we're that old, man.
35:14I could see a Trotter playing in Chicago.
35:17So those are linebackers for that round.
35:19A couple names on this list that I think the Giants keep an eye out on
35:23and whether they make some sort of trade to try and get back into the second round
35:27if these guys are still here.
35:29You don't know what they're going to do with Kayvon Thibodeau.
35:34I think they're going to keep him and just pay that $14.7 million that he's owed this year.
35:41But one thing that they haven't addressed is who's going to line up opposite of Sexy Dexy in that interior
35:49defensive line.
35:50So you've got Lee Hunter from Texas Tech here.
35:53You've got Caleb Banks at 51 going to the Panthers from Florida.
35:58We've got Christian Miller going 56 to my boy Liam Cohen down in Duval.
36:05Oh, I'll call Liam Cohen myself and try and set up that deal
36:09because I feel like the Giants, they don't have a third-round pick.
36:12So could you package a fourth and something else to try and get up
36:16or maybe a fifth or a later round?
36:18I think an interior defensive lineman might be more beneficial for you to have outside of Kayvon.
36:29I absolutely love Kayvon, but you know it's business.
36:32It's a new defensive coordinator.
36:33It's a new regime almost per se.
36:36You know, well, I mean, Joe Shane's still there.
36:38So guys are tradable.
36:39You know, John Harbaugh, who knows what he wants to do, how he can do it,
36:43but they just haven't addressed the interior defensive line and free agency.
36:48So you know they're going to have to do it within the draft
36:50unless they like last year's third-round pick in Darius Alexander.
36:54So there's, you know, I don't – where are you going to go get that starter
37:00on that line up, you know, with the Dexter Lawrence?
37:05So I wonder, those are some of the names for us to keep an eye on.
37:09Final thoughts, and then I'll wrap this up for 5.0.
37:12Yeah, yeah, final thoughts on this.
37:14Just playing off that last point you made, a team, let's say like the Lions, right,
37:19they're going offense in the first round.
37:21We had the Lions taking here Spencer Fano, so they went with the interior
37:27offensive lineman.
37:28Then we had them taking one of my favorite edge players in this draft in Gabe
37:32Yakis, who he would fit beautifully with Dan Campbell and across from Aiden
37:39Hutchinson.
37:39I mean, he's a violent player.
37:41And then the same kind of theme we kind of ran throughout.
37:44If you got an offensive player in round one, you're going to look at maybe fixing
37:49your defense in round two, especially if you have deficiencies on both sides of
37:54the ball.
37:55So there's a common theme in this draft with being able to get a need on one
38:00side in the first round and then going on the opposite side in the second round.
38:05And getting first round-ish talent compared to the pool of guys you have this year.
38:11Listen, last thing I'll say, Jennings Dunker, for example, is an interior
38:15offensive lineman we have going to the Chargers.
38:17If the Chargers, in some mocks at 55, if the Chargers at 22, their first pick, get
38:24Vega Ioane, who the Jets take, we wouldn't have them taking Jennings Dunker.
38:28But we had them taking Omar Cooper Jr. because Vega's not there.
38:32They might be better off with Omar Cooper Jr. and Jennings Dunker than Vega Ioane and
38:38whomever is the best receiver there at 55, which is Deion Burks, for example, who's the
38:44next receiver off the board, Antonio Williams.
38:47So two guys we did have going in the second round.
38:50Once you get past 60 in this draft, there's a massive fall off.
38:54But the value in the 40s and early 50s, mid-50s is really good.
39:00So we'll see.
39:02This is definitely a draft for teams to rebuild off of, for sure.
39:05You cooked today with your one-liners and your phrases and stuff, the mental thing, and
39:10then the needs and wants.
39:12And when you said the needs and wants, I'm like, that's how I'm going to close this thing
39:16out.
39:16Ladies and gentlemen, whether it's the NFL draft or it's life, it's all about going after
39:22what you need.
39:23And then you go and take what you want.
39:25That was your mock draft 5.0 for the New York Post.
39:29I'm Brandon London.
39:30That's Frankie Vitterini.
39:32We're going to see you guys next week for 6.0.
39:35Sheesh, we've been doing a lot of these, man.
39:37And we're going six rounds next week.
39:38So I'm going to tell all the producers here, we're staying all night.
39:42We're going to be all night.
39:44All right.
39:45All right.
39:46Brian's watching some of these March Madness games here.
39:50But yeah, thanks for hanging out with us.
39:52We'll see you guys next week.
39:53Same time for 6.0.
