00:0028 days from the NFL draft.
00:02Are you guys ready for another mock draft?
00:04But this ain't your average mock draft.
00:06It's our mock draft 6.0 from the New York Post.
00:09But we're changing things up yet again this show.
00:12All right, all right.
00:13We're not going to change it up.
00:14We're trading things up this show.
00:17This ain't your regular simulated mock draft, folks.
00:21It's your mock draft 6.0 by the New York Post Sports.
00:25All right, Brandon London here representing Blue Rush.
00:27Frankie Vitterini representing Gangs All here.
00:31That's our Giants and Jets podcast and shows for the New York Post Sports.
00:36Frankie, we've done the regular mock drafts.
00:38We've done the two-round mock drafts.
00:40And now we add another plot switch to this one.
00:43We got some trades.
00:46Oh, man, I love me some trades.
00:47Love you some trades.
00:48And you know how good a GM is based on what they do when it comes to trades,
00:52especially on draft day.
00:53You'll see what value really means.
00:55Let's do it.
00:56He got Jackson Dart via trade.
00:58Yes, sir.
00:58He also got Brian Burns on draft day via trade.
01:02So let's get straight into this thing.
01:05I don't think there's a mock draft out there that's changed the number one pick.
01:09Surprise, surprise.
01:11The number one pick goes to the Las Vegas Raiders,
01:14Fernando Mendoza, quarterback out of Indiana.
01:17We all know that.
01:18Now you are on the clock, sir, at number two.
01:21Hmm.
01:23Do you know what I'm going to do?
01:24Yeah, I know what you're going to do because it's right here on my screen.
01:27But I'm going to act like it's my first time hearing it.
01:30Listen, Brandon and everyone out there, football, you got to get to the quarterback.
01:38Let's do it.
01:38All right.
01:38Let's do it.
01:39If you're going to get someone on the defensive line, they better get to the quarterback.
01:42I'm not looking to stop the run.
01:44No.
01:44I'm looking to force fumbles.
01:46Okay.
01:46And I'm picking somebody that had 10 force fumbles in college.
01:50I'm picking somebody that even at Stanford, he had five force fumbles before he got to Texas Tech in one
01:56season.
01:57Okay.
01:57That's actually more force fumbles than Reuben Bain had his entire Miami career.
02:01Give me David Bailey.
02:02Let's go with him.
02:03Just give me David Bailey.
02:05Enough of the, oh, we want a guy that's going to play outside linebacker and stop the run.
02:10Oh, we want Sonny Stiles because he could do a little bit of everything.
02:14And, oh, Reuben Bain, this big body, strong dude, which he is, can kind of do a little bit of
02:20everything.
02:21I don't want a little bit of everything.
02:23I want the best pass rusher in this draft.
02:25And I want one of the best pass rushers to come out in 10 years.
02:29Yep.
02:30And that's where David Bailey ranks.
02:31PFF just came out with a tweet about a few hours ago.
02:34David Bailey, second best pass rush grade.
02:37Here we go.
02:37In the last 10 years or last 12 years since 2014.
02:41Give me some David Bailey.
02:42I don't need to get into it.
02:43But I've talked about him enough.
02:44The Jets are running an outside kind of, they need an outside linebacker to run that 3-4 defense.
02:51Give me that guy that's going to scream off the edge.
02:53I'm not asking him to be a five tech.
02:55I'm asking him to get to the quarterback.
02:57Give me David Bailey.
02:58Two things.
02:58This is a family-friendly show.
03:00So when you say, give me some of that David Bailey.
03:02They're like, I don't know what you're doing.
03:04Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
03:05I don't know what you ask the bartenders or whatever that drink is called.
03:08Hey, another round of David Bailey's around here.
03:12Another thing you saw on the full screen, 81 quarterback pressures, 38 quarterback hits.
03:16You got to be able to wreck the decision maker.
03:20That's it.
03:21Got to be able to get at the quarterback.
03:23Great pick right there.
03:24Go three and four before I go what the Giants going to do at five.
03:28Yes, sir.
03:28So I have the next two best edges, I would say, in this class.
03:33Arville Reese is a linebacker.
03:34Projects to be an edge.
03:35Okay.
03:36The Jets are going to have a pick.
03:37Bailey or Reese.
03:38I took Bailey in this one.
03:39Reese goes right after him.
03:41And then Reuben Bain teaming up with a defensive-minded head coach in Robert Sala.
03:47I think Sala is going to look at that tape and fall in all sorts of love.
03:50Another weird reference.
03:52Oh, love right there because there's a lot of Giants fans that their hands are rubbing like, you know.
03:57They didn't go love, though.
03:58They went Reuben Bain in this one.
03:59The Titans go with Reuben Bain there, and that means Jeremiah Love is sitting there at five.
04:06But I got a phone call.
04:08I'm Joe Shane in the war room.
04:10I got a phone call right now.
04:12Some happy hour?
04:15It's the Dolphins, GM.
04:16Ooh.
04:17You want to do some business?
04:18Not business, Frankie.
04:20They want to do some business.
04:22You want to trade.
04:23You want us to trade back the fifth pick for 11, 43, and 94?
04:31You know what we're going to do?
04:33So let's do it.
04:34We're going to go ahead and trade that pick back because we don't know.
04:37Sonny Stiles, Caleb Downs.
04:39I don't know right now what I need, what I want.
04:43And these two dudes don't jump out for right now, according to our scouts, don't jump out as a guy
04:48that's going to come in and change the franchise right away.
04:51So I'm going to get picks for that pick.
04:54I know a lot of people are going to be upset because you want Jeremiah Love, but now it's about
04:59bringing in players because there's still some holes on this roster that needs to be picked.
05:03So I'm sorry, New York Giants fans.
05:05You're going to have to wait until 11.
05:07A couple commercials, Captain Morgan commercials, all that stuff.
05:10Just stay put because at 11, 11, 43, and 94, watch Joe Shane, John Harbaugh, and Donna Ponte cook.
05:19But the Miami Dolphins select at number five, Cardinal Tate, wide receiver out of Ohio State.
05:26They needed them.
05:27They needed them.
05:27You know, with the Jalen Waddell trade right now and Miami having a lot of draft assets, they can afford
05:34to make a move like that.
05:35You don't want to wait until 11 if you're Miami for a wide receiver.
05:39The Giants don't really need a wide receiver.
05:41You got Malik Nabors.
05:42You have guys there.
05:44You can go get one in that second round or whatever.
05:46You just got, you know, again, you've got the 43rd.
05:49You already got 33, 37.
05:51You've got now the 43rd, 94th pick.
05:54There's a receiver there.
05:56You want picks.
05:56There's a range.
05:57Absolutely.
05:57So now the Cleveland Browns on the clock at six.
06:00Francis Maoga.
06:02Maoga tackle out of Miami.
06:04And with the seventh overall pick.
06:07Is your phone ringing?
06:08No, no, no.
06:09I'm making a call.
06:09In the words of Drake, who called my phone ringing?
06:11I'm calling right now.
06:12You called?
06:13Hold up.
06:13Hold up.
06:14Darren Mugey.
06:15You think Darren?
06:15Carnell Tate went.
06:16You know what?
06:20Hello?
06:21What's up?
06:22Washington.
06:22You there?
06:23What?
06:25You know what?
06:26We're moving up, baby.
06:27We're moving up.
06:28We got another trade.
06:29We're moving up.
06:30You know why we're moving up?
06:31What?
06:32Because I'm taking a receiver that has no question marks to me in this draft.
06:41So what did they offer?
06:42What did they just offer you?
06:44I just offered them 44.
06:47Okay.
06:4816, what we have.
06:50And I'm going to give them 140.
06:51I'm going to be nice.
06:52We got a few fourth rounders.
06:53I'll give them 140.
06:53So you're trading up, Darren Mugey.
06:55I'm trading up to seven.
06:56You're being aggressive, Darren Mugey.
06:59Yes, sir.
06:59I'm trading up.
07:00And you know what I'm doing?
07:01What are you doing?
07:01I'm taking the best wide receiver in this draft.
07:03Who's that?
07:04And that's Makai Lemon.
07:05Okay.
07:06We need somebody underneath.
07:08We need somebody that complements what Garrett Wilson does.
07:12We need somebody that projects out to be JSN.
07:14And don't wait until 16.
07:16I have a feeling, Brandon, Tate, Lemon, and Tyson will be gone by 16.
07:20And even the guard that I like, Invenga, Ioane, I don't want to take that risk.
07:26Be proactive.
07:2944 is a quality pick.
07:31It's quality.
07:32But it's more quality to team up Makai Lemon with Garrett Wilson.
07:36And this makes this first round for us a home run.
07:40David Bailey and Makai Lemon, you could have us picking two and three.
07:44And I might make those two selections back-to-back.
07:47Make this first round worth it.
07:49Make this first round something that is going to be a quarterback's dream next year, whoever that is.
07:55And I'm not thinking only about this year.
07:57I mean, if you're Geno Smith, you're tweeting.
08:00You're ecstatic.
08:01You're happy right now.
08:02If you're Garrett Wilson, you're tweeting.
08:04You're happy.
08:05If you're Brees Hall, you're tweeting.
08:07You're happy because you're looking at it.
08:09Not only did you get another doggone defense in the David Bailey, but now I've got, and when I say
08:15as a running back, now I've got some help because now, outside of Garrett Wilson, there's another playmaker on this
08:22offense.
08:23By golly, it's looking like this offense could have weapons, plural, on it.
08:30Absolutely love that pick right there.
08:32And then, I mean, you trade it up.
08:34You guys are aggressive.
08:35Very aggressive.
08:37You have to.
08:3716 is a little bit late in this draft.
08:41I think at 16, you're going to have a bunch of guys off the board that are of value.
08:46The receivers, I think, will all be gone by that point.
08:49And if you were to tell me Venga Yohane will be there, maybe I wouldn't make this trade.
08:54But you don't know.
08:55You don't know on draft day.
08:56You don't know who's going to go.
08:57So be proactive.
08:58This could be Geno Smith's JSN, Jackson Smith and Jitba.
09:02This could be that guy.
09:04And look, Garrett Wilson, you're happy right now.
09:07But once he starts taking some targets, once he starts taking some targets, life gives you lemons.
09:12You better make a hell of a lemonade.
09:15And Geno Smith.
09:16And we passed up on JSN years ago, man.
09:17Remember, we drafted Will McDonald to pick the forum.
09:20So maybe rectify that a little bit.
09:21All right.
09:22Go 8 through 10.
09:23And then I'll go Giants at 11 since we're at 11 now.
09:26Yeah.
09:26We'll run through it.
09:27So we got Sonny Stiles going 8.
09:30You know, that's a good spot for him.
09:31I think New Orleans now without DeMario there makes a lot of sense.
09:34Then we have Jeremiah Love.
09:36That was the original spot for him.
09:389 to the Chiefs.
09:39So it makes sense there.
09:42Bengals, they need somebody at 10 that's going to be able to hold it down in the back half
09:47and also be a force to reckon with on defense.
09:51They could use him.
09:52And Caleb Downs we have going 10th.
09:55And that leaves you on the clock.
09:57Right here at 11.
09:58Yeah, see, it was maybe worth trading back considering.
10:01And you know what?
10:02You named those three names who were all on the list, all targets for the Giants.
10:07It's Sonny Stiles, Jeremiah Love, Caleb Downs, and everyone.
10:10You can tell they'll be upset right now.
10:13You could see Giants faithfuls.
10:14You could see the Mike Francescas, all these people just tweeting,
10:18how incompetent are these guys allowing Stiles, Love, and Downs to go?
10:24But wait, there's more.
10:28At 11, the New York football Giants select Mansoor Delane, corner from LSU.
10:37You put the tape on and you see that this is or could be Denard Wilson's new defensive coordinator,
10:46Derek Stingley, or he could be his Denzel Ward.
10:50He is going – you're talking about a defensive coordinator who has a secondary background.
10:56You got Paulson Debo.
10:58Yeah, didn't have the best year last year.
10:59You lose Cordell Flott.
11:01You bring in Greg Newsome.
11:02But Mansoor Delane could come in, step in, and be the CB1 right away.
11:10Long-armed.
11:11He's physical, but he doesn't grab too much.
11:14Gets hands on, but doesn't grab.
11:16He's extremely smart.
11:17He's a man corner, but when you see the way that he's able to disguise coverage
11:22and lie with his eyes in coverage when it comes to baiting a quarterback,
11:27this kid at 11, it's like me when I shop at Burlington.
11:31You're getting a great piece, article of clothing for the cheap.
11:36There's some nice clothes at Burlington.
11:37Are you kidding me?
11:38I'm going right after this.
11:40I'm not the big fashion guy.
11:40Look, I wear a black tee every other show.
11:42I thought you were slimming down for your pro day.
11:44That's why I thought you were wearing a black shirt.
11:46It's not style.
11:47You see, you pull off the hoodie with the jacket very well.
11:51I have a flight to Germany today, so I wanted to be comfortable,
11:54and I knew I was going to be on camera.
11:56So you throw the blazer on.
11:58It's just like this Mansoor Delane pick.
12:00Yeah, you've got Abdul Carter.
12:02You've got Brian Burns.
12:03They look great.
12:04But you throw a blazer on them in terms of a corner that can lock things up
12:09on the back end, then that pass rush looks even better.
12:14Now you're possibly getting more out of a Dexter Lawrence because all these
12:18quick pressures where the quarterback, quick pressures are cool, it's cute,
12:22looks good, but it don't do anything unless you have a corner or a secondary
12:27that can hold up, that can jump routes, and still be comfortable enough to where
12:31if that ball doesn't come out, I can reset, rebound, get my head back,
12:36and make a play on the football.
12:38Mansoor Delane here, just this is a – you've got a lot of people hitting
12:42delete, delete, delete on their tweets ready to bash Joe Shane and John Harbaugh
12:49because you were able to get Mansoor Delane at 11, and you still get picks 43
12:54and 94 with that.
12:56Keep cooking.
12:57Yeah, man, that's a great pick right there.
12:59Mansoor at his pro day just was like shot out of a can.
13:02He ran like a high 4.3.
13:04Some people had him at 4.35.
13:06That's a great number for him.
13:08So, yeah, running through it until – we're going to get out of the first round here.
13:13No one's trading up, I don't think, in the first round, right?
13:16So we'll just run through it a little bit.
13:18But we have Jermon McCoy going to the Cowboys,
13:21which is a pick that a lot of people have there.
13:24We have Monroe Freeling.
13:25Rams need a left tackle, so he makes a lot of sense.
13:28He's probably the purest left tackle in this draft.
13:31Jordan Tyson, 14 of the Ravens.
13:33Kenyon Sadiq, we had going there on Mach 5.0,
13:37but this week we had actually Sadiq going to pick later to the Bucs.
13:41And then 16 of 32.
13:43I don't know if there's anything interesting you're seeing there,
13:46but I actually had Jadarion Price.
13:49I'm glad you said that.
13:50Yeah, 28.
13:51Listen, after Jeremiah Love, he's the clear-cut RB2 in this draft.
13:56Some people have him going to Seattle at 64.
13:59I don't think he's going to reach 64.
14:02I think Houston needs a back,
14:04and he's someone that's going to help out everyone there,
14:07especially the quarterback.
14:08So that's a pick that I think could happen.
14:11And I even think he could go earlier.
14:12I found myself, should I take him if I'm the Bears at 25?
14:16We had him dropping to 28.
14:19The Bears taking Akeem Mestador actually at 25.
14:22There's been drafts that they have.
14:23They take an EMW.
14:25I had EMW, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, the safety out of Toledo,
14:28going 22 to the Chargers.
14:31Daniel Jeremiah loves EMW.
14:33Daniel Jeremiah does consulting for the Chargers.
14:36So I'm just kind of connecting the dots there a little bit.
14:39Yeah, that's his conspiracy YouTube videos are awesome.
14:43You guys should check Frankie after dark right there.
14:45No, don't.
14:46He just connected.
14:46I wanted to rampage last night on Twitter on this morning.
14:49Oh, man.
14:49So you ready for the second round, sir?
14:52You know what?
14:52I'm not.
14:53Why not?
14:54I'm not ready.
14:55You know why?
14:57Because I got another call on my phone.
14:59I'm not making the call.
15:00I got a call.
15:01You got a call.
15:02Chris Ballard of the Colts.
15:04I'm supposed to open up with 33.
15:06You are.
15:08And who's still on the board?
15:10Oh, no.
15:11I'm not saying it.
15:13Rock, paper, scissors.
15:13Rock, paper, scissors.
15:14Shoot.
15:15Oh, you got it, man.
15:16You got to see it.
15:18Ty Simpson is still on the board.
15:21And I'm the Jets at 33.
15:22I should take Ty Simpson.
15:24But I'm not taking Ty Simpson.
15:26You're not.
15:26You're not.
15:27The Jets have stated, and we said this on Gangs All Here,
15:30that Geno Smith is going to be the starter.
15:33And the Jets have basically said it,
15:35that he will be the week one starter.
15:38What's Ty Simpson going to do here?
15:40He's going to sit.
15:41And then what?
15:41We're going to know if he's the guy or not when.
15:43How many games is he going to get?
15:45Doesn't make sense.
15:46All right.
15:46I'm with you.
15:48Chris Ballard called.
15:49Okay.
15:49Chris Ballard wants to move up.
15:51Yep.
15:51We moved up in the first round.
15:52Yep.
15:53We gave up some.
15:54Now we getting some.
15:55Now you get some.
15:56Now we get some.
15:57You said it better than me.
15:59They're giving us 47.
16:01Okay.
16:01So we're moving back 14 spots.
16:0578, which is a valuable pick in this draft.
16:08You can get a starter.
16:09Absolutely.
16:09You can get a starter at 78.
16:11And then a future fourth next year when that draft's really looking juicy.
16:14Okay.
16:14Okay.
16:14So we're giving them 33.
16:16They take Ty Simpson.
16:18We have a relationship with Indianapolis.
16:21We made, obviously, the sauce trade with them.
16:23Yep.
16:23And then a tackle goes next at 34.
16:27Yep.
16:27Just running through it.
16:28Casey Concepcion goes at 35 to the Titans.
16:33Caleb Lomu, an actual.
16:35I like him.
16:36I like him.
16:36A typical tackle.
16:37I like him.
16:37Left tackle that could play right.
16:39I like him.
16:39Go to the Raiders to help Mr. Mendoza there.
16:42And it leaves you at 37.
16:44You know, here at 37.
16:46And, you know, we actually made the call for Caleb Lomu.
16:49Let's check the Raiders to see what they were going to do.
16:52I know he put, you know, we already have the tackle in Jermaine Aluminor and Andrew Thomas.
16:57But we called, you know, in case we needed to bump Aluminor in.
17:01No, they didn't want to play ball.
17:03So we take the next best.
17:04We take the best in a lot of people's mock drafts, interior offensive linemen in this draft.
17:11And that is Chase Basantis, guard, Texas A&M.
17:15That's a really good pick.
17:176'5", 315 pounds.
17:19One thing I like about Big Boy is how he can move in space.
17:23He is a body mover.
17:24He is a guy that once he gets his arms on you, and a lot of people talk about his
17:29arm length,
17:29but it doesn't matter as much at guard.
17:33Because at guard, everything happens faster.
17:35I actually learned that from Evan Neal when he got moved from tackle to guard.
17:39That's one thing he said to the media.
17:40He's like, everything happens faster.
17:42So here's a guy that's got excellent hands.
17:44He can redirect when it comes to pass protection.
17:47And if you really want Jackson Dart to cook, how do you, what do you do to allow Jackson Dart
17:56to cook?
17:57You protect him.
17:58So now you've got the bookend tackles, both these guys on the edge, you know, and the Luminor and Andrew
18:04Thomas.
18:05But now you want to get rid of as much as that interior leakage as much as possible.
18:12Now you don't have this guy.
18:13Now you're not moving this guy off of his spot early to where he's trying to get out and get
18:19around the edge or break contain.
18:21He's got a cleaner, clean pocket.
18:23You don't have Van Roten right now.
18:25He's hit free agency.
18:27So you have an interior guard position that's wide open.
18:31Instead of going and throwing money at it, why not get a second-round guy who's got some first-round
18:37value?
18:38Again, if you're the best interior guard, if you're the best guard on the board, you can go anywhere from,
18:46what, 8 to 38?
18:49You know, it just all depends on who needs what.
18:52So I think this is a great pick for them.
18:56It addresses a need.
18:58It's not as sexy.
18:59You know, drafting a guard isn't sexy.
19:02Everyone's not going to be like, oh, let me go look at his YouTube highlights.
19:04He's a guard.
19:05But he's the guy that you're not talking about.
19:08If you're not talking about him, that's a great thing because that means that his quarterback has a clean jersey
19:14after a game because he was able to hold it up.
19:17Plus, that means if they grab him, that means you like the running back duo of Tyrone Tracy and a
19:24Cam Scadaboo.
19:24It means you didn't have to go and get a Jeremiah Love to be like, all right, this is the
19:30only way we can get a home run threat.
19:32No, I get an interior lineman.
19:33So now we've got bookend tackles.
19:36We've got a good interior offensive guard, and now that opens up some of those whams, some of those isos,
19:43and that downhill running is what these two running backs do very well.
19:48So Chase Pasantis, guard out of Texas A&M, 6'5", 315, bruiser, welcome to New York.
19:55And he's very quick on his feet.
19:56He can pull.
19:57And what does Jackson Dart like to do?
19:59Jackson Dart likes to move a little bit back there.
20:01So you get that guy a little bit in space.
20:02You get Dart moving a little bit outside the pocket.
20:05You can cook a little there.
20:07And he's from Ramsey, New Jersey.
20:09Hey, Jersey kid.
20:10I know you spent some time at Ramsey.
20:11Jersey kid.
20:13Why does it always have to be something like bar, happy hour, alcohol related?
20:17They've got good furniture stores up there.
20:19Like I go to Barnes & Noble.
20:21There's actually a really good Barnes & Noble.
20:23At Ramsey.
20:24And Ramsey's.
20:25And Ramsey's.
20:25Are you sure about that?
20:26No, man.
20:27All right, let's keep rolling on this one, man.
20:29Actually, Barnes & Noble's is a great place to meet people.
20:32I'm just throwing that out there.
20:34Better than bars sometimes.
20:35All right, let's run through this.
20:37Peter Woods.
20:38Okay.
20:39Atta Clemson, next pick.
20:42D'Angelo Pons, the Browns need a nickel corner.
20:45Okay.
20:46He kind of addresses that.
20:47We have Chris Browse, who we had last week, going to the Jets.
20:50I took him last.
20:51We took him last week.
20:52The Chiefs now have him.
20:53I mean, that speed with Patrick Mahomes speaks for itself.
20:58Bengals next up get Caleb Banks.
21:00Kaz had him, actually, in the New York Post sports rundown for the Jets.
21:04But that's around where, you know, people are projecting him to go.
21:08Chris Bell, wide receiver.
21:10Oh, okay.
21:11Comes off the board.
21:11The Saints are rebuilding.
21:12Yeah.
21:12They need a receiver that has some first-round talent.
21:15And that leaves you back on the clock.
21:17Back at 43.
21:18See what trading does.
21:19It allows you to get another pick.
21:20It's unbelievable.
21:21It's so much fun.
21:21I love it here.
21:22I love it in this trading space.
21:24These mock drafts where you get to trade.
21:25But this is a no-brainer right here at 43.
21:28You've gotten your bookend corner.
21:31You've got another starter at the guard position.
21:34Now you've got a guy that can come in and start right away for the wide receiver two position.
21:40And that's Jeremy Bernard, wide receiver out of Alabama.
21:43Rolled tight.
21:446'1", 206.
21:46He's not a burner.
21:47Ran 4-5-2, 4-4-9 at the combine.
21:50I think of him as more of an Amari Cooper type guy.
21:53He's not a blazer, but he is smooth.
21:56When I'm talking like smooth.
21:58He's like one of those things where you take the chandelier or the flute, the champagne flute,
22:04and you put it on the car hood and you start it, and the thing doesn't move, doesn't shake at
22:08all.
22:09That's how he runs.
22:10That's the most Virginia thing I've ever heard about.
22:11That's so Virginia right there.
22:12He is so smooth, a little over 1,600 receiving yards in two years at Bama, 12 total touchdowns.
22:20But here's the thing.
22:21You line them up wherever, outside, inside.
22:24You can also line them up at running back.
22:26You've got 18 carries for 101 yards, two touchdowns from the running back position.
22:31You talk about losing a Wondell Robinson.
22:34That smaller slot utility guy position at receiver,
22:39Matt Nagy doesn't really do much with that anyway.
22:43So now you've got a bigger guy that can play on the perimeter outside of Malik Nabors,
22:48but you can also line them up in the slot.
22:51You can line them up as that third inner receiver, jet motion them, do whatever you want with,
22:56and he can run routes as well.
22:57This kid can run the tree.
22:59We talk about the receivers that come in polished to the NFL.
23:02What programs do they come from?
23:04LSU, the Ohio State, USC, Clemson, and Bama.
23:10Here's another guy.
23:11This is the guy that can come in and take over and start and be opposite of Malik Nabors
23:18and make plays from day one.
23:20He always finds a way to get open.
23:22He reminds me my comp for him was Chris Godwin.
23:26So Jeremy Bernard, I have comped him to Chris Godwin.
23:28He's just going to be a professional every time he steps on the field.
23:32I'll run through these next couples to get you at 47 and lock this up.
23:36From you, from the Jets, the commanders select Colton Hood, corner out of Tennessee.
23:42Great one.
23:43Baltimore Ravens select Jacob Rodriguez, linebacker out of Texas Tech.
23:48Yeah, you know.
23:49Out of that Jesse Minter defense, going to have to go get that linebacker.
23:52And then at 46, we've got an edge rusher out of Missouri, Zion Young,
23:56going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
23:58Again, we talked about it.
23:59They had to bring JPP out of retirement.
24:01They need an edge rusher.
24:03And they got the Kenyon Sadiq at the tight end early in that first round.
24:08So you've got two guys that can step in and be starters right away.
24:12And now Chris Ballard called you.
24:15You picked up.
24:16You traded back.
24:18And now you're sitting here at 47 looking good.
24:21Looking real good, man.
24:23And speaking of looking good, when you look at tape on corners,
24:29there's one guy, or a few guys, but there was one guy for me that really stood out.
24:33Who's that?
24:35It's the guy I'm picking right here at 47.
24:37Okay.
24:37It's Chris Johnson out of San Diego State.
24:40Chris Johnson's a great football name, too.
24:42You know you're going to be good.
24:43CJ 2K.
24:44Yeah.
24:44Tennessee Titans.
24:45CJ 2K.
24:46Yep.
24:46This guy's so fluid in his movements, fluid in his hips, knows how to use his hands.
24:52And what I notice about him on tape is he starts moving as the receiver gets off the line.
25:00Literally, like, mirrors the receiver.
25:01Okay.
25:02Okay.
25:02Shout out to me.
25:03Okay.
25:03The knock on him was speed.
25:05People thought he was a 4-5 guy, and that could hurt his stock because he doesn't look like a
25:11burner on tape necessarily.
25:13He ran a 4-4 at the Combine.
25:15That was a big number for him.
25:18He needed a number like that to really get people talking about him in the second round for sure.
25:23I would have taken Colton Hood there also, but he had went.
25:27Chris Johnson comes in.
25:29He's your corner two.
25:30He'll eventually be the corner one for this team, and you're not really worried about the sauce trade anymore.
25:38So, ironically, the same deal you made to get rid of sauce is the same team that you're at at
25:4547.
25:46That gives you Chris Johnson.
25:48This draft for me, Brandon, just wrapping it up, this is a great draft for the Jets.
25:52If you come out with David Bailey, Makai Lemon, and Chris Johnson, you really hit everything that you need.
25:59You need an edge rusher.
26:01You got the best one.
26:02You needed a playmaker on offense.
26:04You got one of the best ones, a Makai Lemon.
26:06And then you just need a serviceable enough D-back corner that could have upside to be your CB1 one
26:13day or definitely can be inserted as your corner two.
26:17This is the draft I would love for the Jets to do, and we're actually picking at 78.
26:22So, everyone's like, well, you had two second rounders.
26:24I did trade one 44 to move up to get Makai, but I have 78.
26:28And I'd rather have Bailey, Lemon, and Chris Johnson than Bailey, Amari Cooper Jr., I don't know, Colton Hood, and
26:38then whomever else you're going to take at 44.
26:40I'd rather have that.
26:41Get the star firepower in the receiver, Makai Lemon.
26:45And let's cook, baby.
26:46Let's go.
26:47Let's win some games.
26:48And that's the whole point of having Aaron Glenn there.
26:50If he can't coach this Chris Johnson kid up to be a serviceable corner, then, you know, that is going
26:57to be not so much a red flag but a stain on him.
27:01He did a great job with Terry and Arnold that first year with Detroit when he was holding too much,
27:06and then they got him to kind of calm that down a little bit.
27:09Plus, you got your David Bailey.
27:11That edge rush, that pass rush should help out with the corners and the safeties on the back end.
27:16So, absolutely.
27:17I mean, isn't it fun when you get to play make-believe and do hypothetical trades and stuff like that?
27:24You're going to get a lot of these, right?
27:25It's a lot.
27:27How many of these are you thinking we're going to have to go through on the line?
27:29They're going to be trades.
27:30Without a doubt, we're going to have to go back and just pull receipts.
27:33But I feel like we're cooking when it comes to this.
27:37These are real hypotheticals that could happen.
27:40But, again, it's just like our March Madness brackets.
27:43They're all busted.
27:44We don't know.
27:45It's all just conjecture.
27:47But we're still having fun with it, man.
27:48Like we said, we're going to change things up each time.
27:51So, this was our Mock Draft 6.0.
27:54Next week, the plot thickens again for our 7.0 Mock Draft by the New York Post.
28:02See you next Thursday, y'all.
28:03Thursday, y'all.
28:04Thursday, y'all.
28:05Thursday, y'all.
