00:00Good morning, Daryl Ryder, in for Anthony Lima.
00:03Hello, Ken.
00:04Lima has texted me already this morning.
00:06Big surprise.
00:07He is on his way to Dayton, and I'm reading this for a reason here.
00:12He wrote, have a good show.
00:14You really make me laugh every morning, and it's a great start to my day.
00:17You and Cup of Joe.
00:21And now that I know he's listening, he really upset me yesterday afternoon.
00:27Evening.
00:28Evening.
00:28It was 6.20 when he called in to afternoon drive, and I'm going to tell you why.
00:31First off, he spent 10 minutes talking about Ohio State.
00:34You guys want to sit there and break my stones over loving Dale Earnhardt
00:38and wanting to talk NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt all the time.
00:41And Lima talks about Ohio State's men's basketball team
00:44for the first 10 minutes of his hit with Nick and Jonathan.
00:48I'm going, I'm sorry, both things have been dead for years.
00:51I don't know what's the difference.
00:52So I don't understand why I can't talk about Dale Earnhardt, an icon,
00:56and you can talk about Ohio State men's basketball.
00:59I don't give a damn.
01:00Yes, Owen, I'm sorry.
01:01I forgot.
01:02I was just going to ask, was he talking about the current Ohio State men's basketball or 2004?
01:06You should have seen, you should have heard it.
01:09If you care at all, it's there.
01:12You can use the free Rewind function on the free Odyssey app,
01:16and it's powered by Integrated Restoration, your local experts in water, fire, and storm disaster restoration.
01:21He was a storm, and he was a disaster yesterday evening when he called in.
01:25And then he made me mad because what he did, he wouldn't remember it.
01:30And you weren't here, Daryl.
01:32Owen was.
01:33Last week, on Friday, Danny was in for Tone because Tone doesn't work Fridays anymore.
01:40I remember that because I was on with you both on Friday.
01:43That was a cheap shot.
01:44I didn't mean the last one about Tone on Friday.
01:46I didn't mean that one.
01:47Okay, so Daryl, you may remember this on the hit, but this was with Danny.
01:53I had said I was kicking around a theory about Miles Garrett.
02:00And Danny and Owen started trying to goad me into it, and I'm like, no, I got to work it
02:05out.
02:06I got to work it out.
02:06I need some time.
02:08I got to work it out.
02:09No, no, no.
02:10I'm not going to ruin my day on a Friday because people are going to hear it.
02:13They're going to get mad and da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
02:16And part of the reason was is that a couple of weeks ago, when did the story about the Browns
02:20wanting to be able to trade five picks?
02:25During the combine.
02:26During the year.
02:27Okay, it was during the combine.
02:27So that was a couple weeks ago.
02:28All right, so when that story first broke, that there was a resolution proposal where Cleveland wants to –
02:36I just saw this from Adam Schefter yesterday, okay?
02:39It says Cleveland wants to allow draft selections to be traded up to five seasons in the future.
02:44And I brought up a working theory of how I was thinking.
02:48And Lima a few weeks ago goes, hey, man, you go ahead and you say that on the air and
02:52see how the rest of your day goes.
02:53Go right on ahead.
02:55If you want to, go right on ahead.
02:57Like, he gave that ominous warning.
02:59And really, he scared me out of it.
03:01Because I'm going, I'll say it, but I have to have my ducks in a row before I go ahead
03:08and spot it off.
03:08I can't just spot it off because then it just becomes a vomit of words and we've accused other guys.
03:13That's how you end up flip-flopping.
03:14That's really how you end up flip-flopping.
03:15You don't think about it before you say it.
03:17You say it and then all of a sudden you have to answer for it.
03:20And yesterday, it came out again, Adam Schefter.
03:23And I'm glad because I sent it to the group and, Daryl, you were like, this came out a couple
03:26weeks ago.
03:27I was like, oh, yeah, I know.
03:28And I knew what was going to happen and it happened.
03:30And this is why he plays the long game.
03:33And this is why he's the slipperiest of wizards.
03:36Because he knows what he's doing.
03:38He is as duplicitous as anybody could find.
03:41It's part of what makes him brilliant.
03:42I'll admit it.
03:43And I know he's listening to every single word now.
03:44So whatever, erase or phrase, fine.
03:46He knows the number.
03:47I don't need to throw it out there for him to do a back call.
03:50He talks me out of it a couple of weeks ago.
03:52Quickly.
03:54Daryl and Danny, Owen and Danny really try to get it out of me on Friday.
03:59I'm like, no, I'm not doing this on a Friday and then have an answer for it.
04:03I'm very protectionist on Fridays with the exception of coming in hot.
04:07Because anything that's ever happened bad happens on Friday.
04:10So I was like, no, I'm not going to do it.
04:12And then I hear him call in to Nick and Jonathan yesterday.
04:17And I'm like, you took it.
04:20You took what I said.
04:22You took it.
04:24So now what he's going to do, this is why he plays the long game.
04:28He knows this is in my head.
04:29So he knows I'm going to rush to some other crazy theory in the future.
04:34And when I rush to that crazy theory in the future, he and Owen and Keith and Joey, because
04:40Joey will make a video of it and get me just drug through the street on social media.
04:45What will happen is that they will take advantage of it and they will be able to box me up
04:49and
04:49put me in a corner and have me saying things that I don't want to say because I'm angry.
04:54That's what they will do.
04:55Oh, that happens.
04:56You're going to blame the words that come out of your mouth on everyone else.
04:59Because I'm mad because I'm mad because what he said, what I listened to on the free
05:03Odyssey app, what I heard was what I said two weeks ago.
05:07It's what I said two weeks ago.
05:09Why do they want to give up five years of picks?
05:12Well, everybody goes, oh, gosh, it's got to be Arch Manning.
05:14Well, everybody thinks Arch Manning, which I don't think it's as easy as that.
05:19Okay.
05:20You want to get nuts?
05:21Let's get nuts.
05:21All right.
05:21Let's roll up our sleeves.
05:22Let's get nuts, Daryl.
05:23So I'll explain my side and we'll see where you guys all stand on it.
05:29I'm going to come out with it, even though I think it's still a bit half cocked, but you
05:34know what?
05:34It's time.
05:35It's time to say it.
05:36So a couple of weeks ago, combine story comes out, comes out again.
05:40Here we are.
05:41I wasn't necessarily just thinking Arch Manning.
05:44It's the easiest thing to say Arch Manning.
05:46We know the history of Arch Manning, or we know the history of the Manning family.
05:50You can't just say, well, I'll give you five years of first round picks, Cooper Manning
05:53and Archie, granddad, and everybody else can go, okay, who's it going to play with?
05:58We're not playing for you.
06:00I use the term we.
06:01It's happened before with the sons that we understand all this.
06:05We're not going to play for you.
06:07And then I think the Haslams know that.
06:09They know them.
06:11So just giving up five years of first round picks is not going to, they are, I think they
06:16are, they all, they, they have money.
06:18They have time to wait.
06:21I, yeah, you want a guy who wants a challenge, but you don't want a guy who's like, this is
06:26insufferable.
06:26Five years.
06:27Like everybody's assuming, well, they'll give up five seasons of first round picks for Arch
06:31Manning.
06:32And I'm like, I don't think the Browns want to do that.
06:33And I don't think that he wants them to do that.
06:35I don't see.
06:36I don't think that that's the premise of the proposal either.
06:39Okay.
06:40Are you going to steal it from me too?
06:42I'll let you say it.
06:43Go ahead and say it.
06:44Okay.
06:44What's the premise of the proposal?
06:45I think what Andrew Barry wants to do is what you see have happened in the NBA.
06:50Yes.
06:51Where, okay.
06:53To take what you just said about Arch Manning.
06:55The trade wouldn't be five straight years of first round picks.
06:59It would be, we'll give you our 2027 first rounder, our 2028 first rounder, our 2030 first
07:08rounder and maybe our 2032 first rounder.
07:13Yeah.
07:13So, so that you don't get in a situation like you had with Deshaun where you had to sit
07:17out the first round for three consecutive years.
07:21Yes.
07:21So you can still give up the three first round picks, but without setting or sitting out,
07:26I should say, the first round three straight years.
07:30That's what I think.
07:31That's what I think the premise of this idea is.
07:34You're smart, man.
07:34And we're seeing this in the, in the NBA.
07:36I mean, every time the Cavs make a trade, they're giving up a 2032 second round pick
07:41that nobody cares about.
07:43You're a smart man.
07:43You're a good man.
07:44You're thorough.
07:45It's all true.
07:45This is where miles gets brought into it because a few weeks ago, and it's going to come out
07:51again, obviously you get the opinion shows out, Mike Tannenbaum, that was just the latest
07:58one.
07:58You know, what are the lions got to do to get miles scared?
08:01And as long as he's on a bad football team, people are going to toy with the notion of
08:05trading for him.
08:06And we all jumped to the, we all jumped to the same line.
08:10Andrew Barry made the worst trade in NFL history.
08:13He's not going to turn right around and trade away the arguably the best defensive player.
08:17By the time it's all said and done, maybe the best defensive player in NFL history.
08:20He's not going to just jump out and do that.
08:22However, and plus the salary's got to match up.
08:24You have over a hundred million dollars in dead cap if you were to trade him now, but
08:28that gets cut in half going into next year.
08:30And so I was thinking it's not that the people are wrong who say these things.
08:36Cause a lot of us think the Browns are, there are some people out there who think that we're
08:40nuts and they're going to win 10, 11 games.
08:42Okay.
08:43Most of us think they're going to win five.
08:46I'm willing to go six.
08:47Wow.
08:48You went eight.
08:48That's between five and eight.
08:50Listen to this guy.
08:51Well, Mr. Positive, Mr. Glass half full over here.
08:54No, because they felt like, and part of the reason they fired Kevin was they blew the opportunity
08:59to win seven or eight games this past season, even though they could barely score 17 points
09:04a day.
09:05Good point.
09:05So most of us think they're going to win five, six games.
09:09All right.
09:11We're going to start that conversation up again.
09:14It's not just about Arch Manning, but now you see where it is.
09:17Well, do I have to give up?
09:20Everybody jumps to the five.
09:21I totally agree with you.
09:22It's not about giving up five years of first round picks for Arch Manning.
09:25It's about, yeah, you're going to have to give up something to go up and get Arch Manning.
09:29Cause it doesn't seem like a team that's going to be able to go out and get that number one
09:34pick.
09:34And by the way, what I saw from him last college football season, I don't know that I'm that
09:39crazy about jumping up for Arch Manning at this point.
09:42We'll find out what, you're right.
09:43We'll find out what happens.
09:44I love the second half of the season and that bowl game against Michigan.
09:47I was like, oh boy.
09:48I'm, I'll give him that one.
09:49I'm feeling things emotionally here that I, the video from the guy in the end zone, when
09:54he goes on the touchdown run, I go, oh God, I'm falling in love over here.
09:57Don't look me in the eyes.
09:59So I'm thinking, yeah, no, it's, it's not where fans, it's not where the guys who say
10:04these things, they are trying to get through segments, obviously, but it's not where they
10:08say it is that they're wrong.
10:10I just think they're wrong.
10:11See, I think they're early because when you get to $55 million and you're thinking, all right,
10:17at 30, 31 now, where does that add up?
10:21And if they're saying, well, you can't get three first round picks, you know, Elliott
10:24Wolfe said they were looking for three first round picks.
10:26You're not going to get three, I don't know.
10:27I don't think the Browns really shopping them, but maybe it started at three first round
10:30picks.
10:31Well, if you're, if you, if you're these other teams, after Miles takes a blowtorch sheet
10:36at the Superbowl, you start calling the Browns.
10:39Of course, Andrew Barry is going to ask for the godfather offer, but you're looking at it.
10:42He's not doing his job if he doesn't, but you're seeing it is.
10:46All right.
10:47You call me up.
10:48Say you're the Eagles.
10:49Let's just do the Eagles thing again, right?
10:51Here are the Eagles.
10:53Okay.
10:53You're going to give me a first rounder this year.
10:55Okay.
10:55Cause I got to get my first rounder back because I'm giving it all up.
10:58Say they want to go after Archmanning.
11:00All right.
11:00Play it out.
11:00It might be about Archman.
11:01Probably is to a degree, right?
11:03You're talking next time next year.
11:04This coming 27.
11:06You're going to give me your first rounder, but you're probably going to be a good football
11:08team.
11:09So it ain't going to matter that much.
11:10It's going to be in the 29 to 32 range.
11:12And then later on, and probably higher Rose won't do this.
11:15So it's, it's probably a bad example because it's the Eagles, but I'm just using a team
11:18that's been interested in the past.
11:20You're going to give me the first round pick in 2027.
11:22And then we're going to mix up the picks.
11:24And I want another first round pick in 2030.
11:28Because by that time, we should have some things together.
11:32Arch should be doing pretty well.
11:34Imagine what this team is by 2030.
11:36We're in the draft.
11:37Arch is playing well.
11:38And I got two first round picks because of the trade that we made with Myles Garrett four
11:42years ago when Myles was still at his prime, still at his zenith, when we were in a competitive
11:46football team.
11:47Cause whoever gets, if the Browns do what a lot of people think they're going to do this
11:51year, whatever quarterback they take, it's probably still not going to be going into a
11:55great situation, probably still going to be going into a situation where they're going
11:58to struggle again in 2027, but it'll be more palatable because you hopefully have a franchise
12:03quarterback that will help raise that tide of your football team.
12:07So I don't think it's just about Arch Manning.
12:09I think it is about protecting some things and maybe being able to make a move, but I also
12:13think it's what you can get back in the future.
12:16If you were to put, to press the nuclear option and go, all right, it's a $55 million cat
12:23dead cap hit.
12:24We're, we're away from the Deshaun Watson after June 1st going into 2027.
12:28You would know that much better than me.
12:30We can swallow this terrible, terrible, terrible pill for the year.
12:35Have to part ways with the player of the generation, which again, this is much easier set on sports
12:39talk radio in March of 2026.
12:41And it is in real life for crying out loud.
12:43And then they set up the team for 2029 when Brook Park opens.
12:46All that posted, all that said, I don't think there's a chance in hell that the rest of these
12:52other NFL teams agreed to such a thing.
12:54Do you think that they have a chance to do something like this?
12:57Judging by the reaction that I saw on social media yesterday from people still in the league
13:03and people no longer in the league, I don't think this proposal gets approved.
13:09I think eventually it'll get approved, but I don't think it's going to get approved this time.
13:15Do you think it eventually will happen?
13:16I think eventually it will, but this time right out of the gate and also because it's the
13:21Browns proposing it, if this were the Dallas Cowboys proposing it or the Philadelphia Eagles
13:28or the Patriots, I think it'd probably really have a chance to make it on the first go.
13:36Something this, I don't want to say why it is pretty drastic.
13:40Something this significant, when you're talking about altering the draft selection rules and
13:47what you can offer in trades, I think this is not something that gets done in an offseason.
13:52I think that this is something that they're going to mull over and it's going to get hashed
13:58out in the coming months and years.
14:00This isn't something that's going to get approved right away.
14:04But it's a brilliant proposal by Andrew Barry.
14:06At first, I thought he was nuts, but the more I thought about it the last couple...
14:11Oh, is he playing 4D chess over here?
14:12Well, the more I thought about it over the last couple of weeks and then I read the language
14:16of the actual proposal last night, I'm like, you know what?
14:20Maybe Andrew Barry isn't looking to do something really stupid and irresponsible again, like
14:25another Deshaun Watson trade.
14:27Maybe he's trying to goad another team into doing something really stupid and really irresponsible.
14:34I want to ask Mary Kay coming up at 820 this morning if the Browns are already thinking
14:37about Arch Manning.
14:38I know a lot of people went and they jumped to that conclusion here with what had happened
14:43with the possible rule change that the Browns have put up.
14:47I don't think, for the record, I agree with you, I don't think it would happen this year.
14:54I'm surprised that you said that it would happen at all, honestly.
14:59I thought, and I know Nick had mentioned this, I think he mentioned this, I think I agree
15:03with him, I'd rather go the other way.
15:06I'd rather not have to go into the future, I'd rather pull back on it.
15:10Having three first-round picks, I'd argue about it, I'd go, well, look at your fan base,
15:13look at how your fan base has felt.
15:15I mean, you had three years and no first-round picks and your quarterback was terrible.
15:19And so they really had one glimpse of fun with Joe Flacco.
15:23Joe, and then that was it, and then the rest has been, the only other time they had fun
15:27was when somebody else was playing QB other than the guy you gave up the three first-round
15:31picks for.
15:32You want to give up more picks?
15:33You want to entice everybody else into poor decisions?
15:36I don't think that's a good idea.
15:38In fact, I think for the good of everybody's fan base, I'm going to take it away.
15:41You can only trade two years of first-round picks, or hell, maybe even one year of first-round
15:45picks.
15:45We're not doing this.
15:47We're not doing this.
15:48You want Andrew Barry.
15:49I want the opposite of Steppian.
15:51I want the Carmen rules now.
15:52Because it's all fun in theory, and then we have to live through three years, and it
15:57would have been great had they had been good, and they were good for a year, again, when
16:01he wasn't playing.
16:02So when you have a fan base that's been put through the ringer like they are, and people
16:06can say whatever they want.
16:07With all the changes that are going on, the fan base has changed too.
16:11Now, dare I ask somebody to get off his chest at 640?
16:13Let me get this off my chest.
16:14You know damn well this fan base has changed.
16:16This fan base is as cynical as I've ever found them, and personally, I get nervous about that.
16:21For a multitude of different reasons, okay?
16:23Because before, you could go on tradition.
16:26Before, you can go on, hey, you know what?
16:28They're lousy, but there are guys.
16:30You know, we got guys who are good here, but you know what?
16:32That's fine.
16:33After that trade, things have changed.
16:35And to advocate for more seems pretty nuts and seems pretty out there.
16:43And I would argue, if I was another owner, if I owned another football team, I'd go, guys,
16:48look at your own fan base.
16:50I mean, they're as downtrodden as they've been.
16:54Well, one of the chief arguments coming out of the NFL community is, do you want a GM who
17:00is potentially on the hot seat having the ability to mortgage your future in that regard?
17:06But here, if you were another general manager, excuse me, if you're another owner, because
17:10owners don't want to sit there and think they just hire and fire people willy-nilly, even
17:14though they do, more on that coming up a little bit later on, they don't want to think that
17:17way.
17:18But if you're another owner, it's like, well, what did the general manager do to put
17:20themselves in that position?
17:21If you're going to sit there as an owner and allow them to trade away five years of the
17:25future, fine, that's on you.
17:26You go ahead and make that mistake.
17:28That's why I think it could actually happen.
17:30That's where I think you might be right about it.
17:32I think why it can happen is because this would give NFL teams the opportunity to spread
17:39out the pain of a big trade.
17:41And the one thing we're starting to see more in the NFL are trades.
17:46The volume of trades that we have been seeing, it just, it feels like they are more, and maybe
17:56it's just because they've been more of the impactful variety when it comes to, but it just feels
18:01like there's more wheeling and dealing going on in the NFL, which keeps that news cycle, that 24-7,
18:07365 news cycle, churning over and over and over.
18:10I mean, we got people on every podcast, every national show, talking about how the Browns are
18:15trading Miles Garrett to X team when they can't do that right now.
18:20They might be able to do it next year or in subsequent years, but this year, it's not realistic.
18:25But because of history.
18:25It gets clicks, it gets views, it gets reaction.
18:28But because of history, it's not the craziest thing that's ever been said.
18:31Again, we talked to the Odell Beckham Jr. trade into reality.
18:35We had the Sean Watson trade that happened for three first-round picks and all the craziness
18:40that happened there.
18:40So I think a lot of people go, well, if anybody's capable of being nuts, the Browns are capable
18:44of being nuts.
18:44Right, because they're always the most desperate team in the room because, well, they are.
18:48But my issue with it would be, again, I go back to being, if I were another owner, I'd say,
18:53you know, I look at Cleveland and, yeah, I have some bubble here.
18:58Obviously, you do as well to some degree.
19:00But when we look at some of it, I go, you know, you have a special fan base.
19:05And because of that trade and because of what happened after that trade, you shoved them
19:11a little bit more towards everybody else.
19:14You shoved them a little bit more towards all the other fans that we all think we're better
19:18than.
19:20That's where, like, when I look at some of the other fan bases and go, hey, they ain't got it
19:23like we got it.
19:24They don't have it.
19:25Like, they don't have the passion that we have.
19:27And when you do that and then you're unsuccessful afterwards, I think it takes that fan base,
19:32especially when you had basically 20 years of losing before that trade, you shove them
19:36more towards just like every other fan base.
19:38Like, I look at the Raiders and I go, business-wise, this is going to be one of the dumber
19:43things
19:44I've ever said.
19:45Business-wise, they got it falling out of their pockets now.
19:48But you took one of the great fan bases of all time, you took one of the great traditions
19:53of all time, whether they were really successful all the time or not.
19:56You took one of the more fun fan bases in all the professional sports, and I'm talking
19:59all around the world, and tradition and atmosphere, and you really just turned it into a vacation
20:07for everybody else to come to your stadium.
20:08100%.
20:09I mean, they bounced between Vegas and, or I should say, between Los Angeles and Oakland
20:14a couple of times before finally settling in Vegas.
20:17I wanted to mention this.
20:18Maybe winning changes it, but I don't know.
20:20Go ahead.
20:20I was on a Giants podcast with our sister station in New York.
20:26Oh, WFAN.
20:27And they are acting like the New York Giants or the Cleveland Browns.
20:31And I, this is before the podcast started, we were having this conversation.
20:34I don't know how much of a difference there is.
20:36No, there is.
20:37They got four trophies in the case.
20:39Well, yeah, but they think about it differently.
20:41I'm thinking about it right now.
20:42I'm not talking about history.
20:43No, I know, but I said, listen, you guys can't be bellyaching.
20:45You got four trophies in the case, okay?
20:48The Browns got mothballs in their trophy case.
20:50The Browns don't even have a trophy case at this point.
20:52We got something.
20:54We got a trophy from 46 in there somewhere.
20:57We used to be right out there in the hallway.
20:59It's actually in Green Bay.
21:01The real trophy.
21:03No, we had the 46 trophy that was there.
21:05You remember that?
21:06Somebody found it?
21:07Yeah.
21:07Yeah.
21:08That's what I'm talking about.
21:10You mean you're still not moved by the 1964 trophy that Carmen Policy had made?
21:15No, I'm not.
21:16That had the modern downtown skyline in it?
21:20First time I walked in there?
21:21It was the most Cleveland Browns fake trophy ever.
21:24The first time I did walk in there, I go, oh my God, it's a 64 trophy.
21:28And I thank God I didn't say it out loud because on my way out, guys, this is years ago.
21:32This is like 2009.
21:35And the first time I, because I'm like, 2009, I'm 20?
21:41No, I'm 22 at the time when I walked in the first time.
21:45And I'm like, oh my God, it's a 64 trophy.
21:47And as I walked out, I go, what's the skyline do?
21:50Oh, that's not the real trophy.
21:52I go, oh God, thank God I didn't say it out loud.
21:54Go ahead, Daryl.
21:54That real trophy, believe it or not, is in Green Bay.
21:57It's in the Packers team museum.
22:01Where it obviously should be.
22:02Well, no, because it was like the Stanley Cup back then.
22:05And the Packers were the last ones to have it, so they're the ones that have that trophy.
22:12No, I'm dead serious.
22:13I have a picture of it on my phone.
22:15We can't get a replica?
22:16Well, you know, that would make too much sense.
22:19They should do that.
22:20What were you saying to the Giants, folks?
22:22I'm sorry, I barred you down there.
22:23You know, quit your belly aching.
22:24You got four Super Bowl championship trophies in your case.
22:27You don't get to compare yourself to Browns fans who have been suffering since 1964.
22:34Not to the fan base, you're right.
22:35But I think once you get rid of the main characters or they retire or whatever from the championship teams,
22:42then I think the clock starts running again.
22:44Well, I mean, look at the Cavs, right?
22:46That's what I'm saying.
22:47That's exactly what I'm saying.
22:48And then you get compared.
22:49When you have had success, you get compared to the other ones.
22:52So, like, Jackson Dart is going to be compared to Eli Manning.
22:55Eli Manning was compared to Phil Simms.
22:57Anybody on defense is going to be compared to the 80s Giants defense players of the time.
23:02And if we can ever find a quarterback here, be compared to Bernie and Brian Sipe and Otto Graham.
23:06Like, I'm sorry, you're just going to have to answer the call of Gary reasons.
23:09That's the way that goes.
23:11But that's what it is to every fan base.
23:13What I point out, though, is that when you mortgage it, it's got to be for something special.
23:18But you also have to have something in the hole.
23:20And I think that's something they might have learned.
23:22And that's why I brought up the Miles Garrett scenario with it.
23:25Because it's not that any – I don't think that people are wrong.
23:28I just think they're early.
23:29Because it makes it much easier when you get rid of the albatross contract coming up next year
23:34and then you welcome in the albatross of the – because once the dead cap hit is at 55,
23:40it then goes to, like, 20, and then goes to, like, 6.
23:43It's much easier to take as the cap goes up.
23:46And I know I'm going to let you spout your opinion off about that coming up here in a moment.
23:50But I think it becomes much easier to take.
23:51So, as much as I've wanted to say for a long time, like, let's stop this conversation.
23:56He's a Cleveland Bron for life.
23:59If he continues at close to this clip – I don't know if he's going to get 23 sacks again
24:03this year.
24:04But if you continue close to this clip, like, this is a conversation that we have to have
24:08every offseason as long as they're under .500, Darrell.
24:10You know, he's the lone attraction that they have until they can find their franchise quarterback.
24:17It's Miles Garrett.
24:18He's the guy that's on all the renderings for the new dome, promoting the team.
24:25Like, he's the face of your franchise right now.
