00:00Attorney-at-law, Subhas Pandey says those in positions of power must lead the charge against corruption and criminality.
00:09When somebody says, hey, when I say how is the only truck money billet, the other one will go down
00:16and say, hey, that is not important.
00:20Both of them are destructions.
00:23What the science should look, here's my bill, here are my bills, this is it.
00:28And then move on. But there stands everybody creating a distraction not to deal with the problem of money laundering
00:38and drugs.
00:40He also weighs in on the controversy surrounding the murder of senior counsel Dana Setahal, pointing to recent claims by
00:47Defence Minister Wayne Sturge that intelligence had been gathered but not effectively used, raising concern about how critical information is
00:56handled.
00:56The population should call upon the minister, who is getting a big salary, to work, do your work, investigate, don't
01:07come and say somebody dropped the ball.
01:09You are in charge. You should find out that before you come to the public and make such statements.
01:21Mr. Pandey further argues that stronger deterrence are needed to combat crime, suggesting that the gap between offences and consequences
01:30is too wide.
01:32He also weighs in on the proposed resumption of hangings.
01:37I say the government should take one case, a brutal case, a prison case, which has taken place in the
01:45public, and take that case and make an example of that case.
01:49So they'll know that it's serious, the government is serious.
01:53But to say hanging is coming doesn't mean anything because the system's locked up.
