00:15:25They are most commonly found at the entrances of mosques, in cemeteries, and next to fountains.
00:15:33Also in front of health centers such as hospitals and clinics
00:15:40And where people move around, especially at bridge entrances where there is heavy pedestrian traffic.
00:15:48We are talking about Ottoman civilization and culture.
00:15:50In fact, all of these things we've mentioned are very important legacies left to us by our ancestors, like alms stones.
00:15:58And because of its location, it is actually a place where qualities such as charity, mutual assistance, giving, and solidarity are put into practice.
00:16:09The need for people to give charity in certain places actually arises, and these places are specifically positioned for that purpose.
00:16:18Built from marble columns, 1-1.5 meters long and 50-70 centimeters wide.
00:16:28And well-off people would leave their alms on these alms stones as they passed by.
00:16:39According to legend, the concept of the alms stone was actually implemented after people had largely withdrawn, depending on the culture and way it was practiced.
00:16:49Its positioning, the locations where it is positioned, and the method of its implementation all reflect this understanding.
00:16:56Also, those in need tend to come to these charity stones more often when people are less active around them.

00:17:47To pass on to future generations, to develop the awareness of mutual assistance, solidarity and charity.
00:17:54We launched it as a humanitarian aid organization under the current circumstances.
00:18:00And as of today, we are organizing humanitarian aid operations in over 40 countries worldwide, primarily in our own country.
00:18:09This charity stone reflects the spirit and refinement of our ancestors; we see it here.
00:18:16It's not about its structure, but how it's used.
00:18:20As you said, it is also expressed in the Quran.
00:18:25So they hesitate to ask.
00:18:29It is already said in our culture and has entered our vocabulary.
00:18:35They say a poor person has a cold face; they hesitate to ask for help.

00:20:48Huge humanitarian tragedies are unfolding in the places where millions of refugees have migrated.

00:22:13In this sense, when we look at the activities we have carried out, we see that concepts such as charity, almsgiving, mutual assistance, and zakat are directly reflected in our lives through these aid efforts.

00:22:51We especially see the encouragement of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in this regard.
00:22:56In this sense, the hadiths and verses of the Quran related to ongoing charity certainly guide us.
00:23:04On the other hand, as an association, we carry out these aid efforts in regions that we describe as forgotten Islamic lands.
00:23:14We organize aid efforts both in the West and in East Asia, particularly in regions where Muslims live as a minority.

00:23:30We are particularly active in these crisis regions, in countries like Africa and Asia.
00:23:37On the other hand, we continue our aid efforts in regions inhabited by our closely related communities and Muslims who are a minority in proportion to the population.
