"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 Modern lifting contests starting in the 1880s included the One Hand Swing and the Snatch, which was done ONE HANDED primarily until after WW l. Books of the era often listed a Snatch as being done with one hand. The lifts were different enough to contest them in their own category. It's was uncommon for someone to Swing as much as they could Snatch. This was a shock to me cuz l believed the preliminary swing would allow one to build momentum for a heavier lift... but it just wasn't so. The difference isn't huge though l'm only Swinging 104¾lb in this clip, l've done 142lb compared to my heaviest successful Snatch of 160lb shown in the B&W clip. I got 170lb afterwards but couldn't steady it overhead. Lotsa good stuff here, huh? God Bless. #jesussaves
