00:24ward restructuring could be coming down the pike as well yeah so we got all these things going and
00:28cap space apparently for the browns yeah and they're making they're making room which makes
00:32a lot of sense now will they do something with that i guess time will tell but the interesting
00:36part for myself at least is the idea that they have at least executed up the plan that everybody
00:40thought they were going to do with deshaun watson so this is the big part of this is that march

00:44we got an opening and this is when they're going to take it and then he's going to be off

00:49free so when we have the deshaun discussions about him being here for one year and that being it
00:55it's just further stamped down which it makes even more sense when you sound out this whole

03:03between that and the restructurings did i get a little hope that they might not just completely
03:07fall asleep and go comatose through the first week of free agency it did give it the pilot light is
03:12on well and the denzel side of things too like they're trying to make this whole thing work and
03:17this is a it's a good day to remind people that you don't have a poverty franchise that's really
03:22the synopsis of this and i know we know this but the browns are a little bit different than most
03:26nfl teams we have found a way to suck while having spent the most amount of money in the nfl
03:30in the
03:30previous five years it's an incredible accomplishment nick it really is but it gives you hope for if
03:35they do get a quarterback of substance and actually get a quarterback that matters we are going to be
03:40able to spend like daddy warbucks still and the the money fountain is going to continue to be turned on
03:45and that's it it's an incredible advantage that they have yeah and i i'm i am i am intrigued that's
03:51the word i'll use i'm intrigued to see what they do in free agency because i think if you got
03:57either
03:57linder bomb or rasheed walker that's a really good place to start rebuilding your offensive line
04:03alongside titus howard and one or two other pieces and if if if you can if this if that falls
04:10right
04:11because free agency is just a much more expensive version of the draft where you at the you're at the
04:16mercy of how things fall in your favor unless you have 175 million dollars to spend like like two nfl
04:24teams might have this off season right so there is some element of you need you need the right
04:30player to say yes at the right price and then that informs the next price which which their thought
04:35process and this is simple we'll go ahead but i do think when it comes back to the idea of
04:38the intrigue
04:39of this you add one or two cognizant the just just decent offensive linemen and i think you are going
04:46to see people pep up a little bit that may be putting it at least a watchable offense out there
04:51this year isn't this just gigantic thing that seems like everybody in the nfl is making it for
04:56the browns well just give the quarterback a chance with a real offensive line you know if we talk about
04:59winder bomb for instance or we talk about uh some of these other players adding but like the reality
05:03is i mean when you look at this team they can do as much as they want to it's just
05:07how much do they
05:08want to do same same thing could have been said last off season too but they just signed collins and
05:12that was it like they could have done more they chose not to yeah and i think that well that

05:17goes with the quarterback thing like when we have the deshaun conversation what frustrated me yesterday
05:21is the idea of you can take this any which way you want and pretty much everything other than deshaun
05:28playing for the browns in 2026 i'll i'll find a way to talk with like i wouldn't trade a fifth
05:35rounder for anthony richardson i understand they might i think it's low probability i'll probably go
05:41right into i think shador should be the starting quarterback but am i going to give anthony richardson a

05:51uh mac jones if a market material like every quarterback that we can talk about but you
05:56actually have to do something and i think that's where that's where my thing is if you stand pat
06:01or if you sign a bunch of braxton jones uh joneses jones joneses multiple braxton jones in the market
06:09if you sign just guys like that i'm going to call you an unserious franchise and i think you should

06:15more serious than deshaun watson and a bunch of braxton joneses well so part of the idea is a
06:20munkin kept stressing in the one time we've heard him talk at the podium this year uh the idea that
06:24uh when it comes to free agency the players go where the most money is offered like they part of
06:30their belief with free agency is that that's a truism of how free agency works and i don't think
06:34they're wrong there well then all right go out and show us if like if one of the few tricks
06:39you have
06:39up your sleeve is you get to spend as much money as anybody in the nfl can and if you
06:43think all it
06:44takes is offering the most amount of money then go out there and do it well and i think the
06:47why it
06:47the why this really matters is um you're probably not going to be able to fill all five spots on
06:54multi multi-year players right like you're going to have a player or two that maybe is on a one
07:00-year
07:00deal and that might have to be your right guard or left guard or whatever for a year you get

07:07those in my opinion between the draft and and free agency and trade i need i need to see like
07:13a two to
07:13three-year plan on this offensive line because if we're still having the same conversation next
07:18year where it's well we have to replace two offensive linemen and we have to find a wide
07:23receiver i think you will have failed because your needs are so obvious and and and you have
07:30enough not a lot but enough draft collateral and the the trade market is out there and just draft in
07:38general you can make this thing again the first step to building a great offense in the future
07:44that's kind of that that's i need to see those building blocks out of this offseason i think all
07:48that's on the table oh yeah no definitely it is and again like part of the restructuring and part of
07:53getting the money right and this is go it goes beyond just denzel or goes beyond just to sean it

07:57to denzel as well is they just continue to to basically flex how much money they're willing to
