00:00Let's recap a little bit and then we'll look ahead because the Ohio Valley, you have been the focus for
00:05flooding really more than severe weather over the last couple of days.
00:08We're looking at rainfall total from the last three days and you can see where the heaviest of it has
00:14been.
00:14These areas in red, we're talking four inches plus over the last three days.
00:19That causes problems.
00:21We have a lot of flash flooding and flood reports that have come in.
00:26In fact, here's the ones just from the last 24 hours.
00:28At least one of these is a water rescue.
00:32We have reports from Butler County, Ohio.
00:34So in the greater Cincinnati area, the sheriff's office carrying out a water rescue.
00:38We've had some creek, well, creeks out of their banks.
00:41We've had some smaller river issues.
00:44We don't anticipate big issues with something like the Ohio River, though.
00:47By the weekend, it does get to action flood stage.
00:50But hey, you know what?
00:51That happens just about every year, really, with the Ohio River.
00:54Levels have been so low that we're not looking at a major flood event.
00:57However, we do have alerts out, flood watches, flood warnings, aerial flood warnings.
01:02A lot of these set to expire tonight or tomorrow morning, but it's just a break in the action.
01:07The flood threat will return as we go into the weekend.
01:10Now, I mentioned major rivers like the Ohio not looking at big issues there.
01:15However, we've already seen some issues from the East Fork of White River near Seymour, Indiana.
01:19That's a major flood stage, and we're forecast to really stay there until about Friday afternoon.
01:25We go down to moderate, but you know the rivers.
01:27It takes some time to get out of flood stage.
01:29Even by the time we get to Monday afternoon, we are still in minor flood stage.
01:34So anyone around this area needs to be prepared for that rising water,
01:38though the worst of the flooding, really, you have already seen.
01:42Where things stand now, here's some of the thunderstorms and what triggered a severe thunderstorm warning
01:46that Jeff was mentioning just a couple of hours ago.
01:49Not a lot of lightning overall, but again, it's those small isolated storms that can really pack a punch.
01:56We go into the overnight and tomorrow, we are going to get some freezing rain, sleet, and snow to talk
02:02about.
02:02Let's take a quick look at future radar, give you an idea of what happens tonight,
02:06and then what that line Saturday looks like that brings the severe weather threat.
02:10All right, so there's the snow working its way in.
02:12Tomorrow morning, somewhere like Boston, we could have some slick spots.
02:15Friday, a relative break except for upstate New York.
02:18But then Saturday, we really start to see that line move in.
02:22It's going to bring damaging wind gusts and hail.
