00:00because of wind that's really been our only weather related delay but let's talk more about
00:04what's going on now still some showery conditions really what's left of this breaking up at this
00:10point on radar here's the wind taking a look at wind gusts now you're seeing a lot of zeros and
00:15i do want to note it's still breezy it just means that the last observation at that specific weather
00:21station it did not report a wind gust wind speeds are still 5 to 15 miles per hour across the
00:27northeast as well and the wind is going to continue to be an issue some of these alerts into
00:32maine especially have been allowed to expire but others they go through thursday because of this
00:38right here our next system moves in it brings a resurgence of the gusty winds 40 50 60 miles per
00:45hour so what does that mean for you well at the very least the decorations outside whether it's
00:50halloween or christmas well they can easily become projectiles so tie them down or even better
00:57take down the halloween decorations wait to put the christmas ones up but we could see some power
01:01outages we could see some tree limbs down it's things that we've seen throughout the day today
01:05with the wind that was left behind earlier here's more of the storm the rain that comes with this
01:12during the day it really is rain but then the cold front moves through temperatures drop down here's
01:16that snow we were talking about adirondacks green and white mountains you're the ones who should be
01:21prepared for this and two to three thousand feet in elevation that's what we're talking about with
01:26this storm we head into the weekend next week then we start to talk about snow for more of us
01:33whether you're ready or not well here it comes let's take a look at future radar though with this
01:37storm in the short term again mostly rain moving into upstate new york very early tomorrow morning
01:42or not very early this is 9 a.m but throughout the day we see more of this move in as far as getting
01:48south of central new york you see the cold front bringing some of those storms in
01:52but as far as the rainfall totals we're talking a quarter of an inch for most of us the snowfall
01:59though which we do transition to wednesday night that's one to three inches for places
02:04like stowe vermont again higher up in elevation and again this is not the only storm we're talking
02:11about it's the storm in the short term we get a break in between and then another one moves in
02:15as we head towards the weekend
02:16you
