00:00As Muslims around the world celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, those in Iran are now forced to deal with
00:07war brought on by the United States.
00:09TNT, by way of the UNC government, is the only Karakam country taking the side of the U.S.
00:16Government Senator David Naked, a Muslim, is making his position clear pertaining to where his support lies in the matter.
00:23My sympathy, my support are with my Muslim brothers and sisters and the views of the party is the view
00:33of the party and we follow our leader.
00:36But my views on those are with the Islamic resistance and that's my comment.
00:44Among civilian casualties, 165 staff and primary school girls killed last Saturday in the city of Minab during what Iran
00:54terms an attack on a girl's school.
00:57Right. How did you feel when you saw that?
00:59Very sad. As I feel as when any innocent lives are lost, I feel I feel very sad.
01:04I still do as my family is out on that side of the world.
01:09So I feel very, very sad at this what has happened.
01:13But the senator stresses that those are his personal views, further telling the media that Prime Minister Kamala Passat-Bissassar
01:20knows his stance,
01:21which has led him at least on one occasion to absent himself.
01:26You think the Honorable Kamala Passat-Bissassar is not aware of my views on these things?
01:32She's aware of everything.
01:33And she's very respectful and has always been with me very respectful.
01:38So when, as if you notice, when someone came into Trinidad, I was not there, she had no problem whatsoever.
01:46According to Naked, it is the duty of Passat-Bissassar to run the country as she deems fit.
01:51Do you ever feel conflicted in terms of your own personal views and views adopted by your party,
01:59especially when there is this level of tragedy involved with your Muslim brothers and sisters?
02:05My only conflict is how the world has allowed a Zionist entity, a genocidal Zionist entity, to take control of
02:13America.
02:14That's my conflict there.
02:16But as far as my objective, which is to change the lives of Trinidad and Tobago,
02:23the people that have been left in poverty, squandermania by the PNM,
02:27I have no conflict whatsoever with my prime minister or with the party.
02:32Meanwhile, the senator says there are talks pertaining to the repatriation of nationals in the Middle East.
02:38I know it's been discussed.
02:40She has respects the views about that, that she wants to bring them home, especially the children.
02:46And I know they're working on it.
02:48I have been contacted by the United Nations, who they are aware that I have contacts on that side.
02:54And I told them that I'm available for any support that they would need.
