This video features an in-depth interview with author Duncan Ewing, discussing his book "Global Warming: A Real Threat." We explore the scientific aspects of how our earth is changing and the potential impacts of weather fluctuations. His books offer a critical perspective on this important subject.
This book is on climate change as a major issue that is the leading news feature each week. Global warming is worse than it has ever been. It is only a matter of time until it becomes a problem that will lead to massive extinctions on a global scale if nothing is done to solve the planetary crisis. We need solutions that will address this crisis reversing the damage it has already caused. To adapt to what the future may hold for this planet if greenhouse gases continue to be emitted, time to make changes. The time to worry is now: because it may be too late in the latter part of the 21st century.

00:36No, but I'm gonna be very good on Dream Chasers Radio
00:40I wanna thank you guys so much for tuning in
00:42You know, we're gonna be talking about global warming today
00:44I just have to put up this poster here
00:47The book is about global warming, a real threat by Duncan Ewing
00:53We're having him today
00:55I want to basically let you guys know that it snowed in Tampa
01:00And it snowed in Sarasota, Florida
01:03That's two hours south of Tampa
01:05Tell me why
01:06Can someone please, please tell me
01:09Global warming is not a figment of your imagination
01:14Okay, this is not something that's just
01:16Oh, they just came up with this to get more taxes from us
01:19No, this is happening
01:20And my next guest can concur with me that this is happening
01:25He's literally right now in Canada where he's freezing
01:30Yes, it is cold in Canada
01:33So please excuse the lag as we talk to Mr. Duncan Ewing from Canada
01:39Thank you so much for joining us today
01:43Yes, thank you for having me
01:45Thank you
01:46So, okay, I was talking just a second ago about it snowing in Florida
01:50And your book just hit it nail on global warming
01:54Is not a figment of anyone's imagination
01:57This is happening and it's happening now
02:01Yes, it is
02:03So, okay, so why did you write a book about it
02:06And what was it that prompted you to go all out on this
02:11Well, I think that if you remember back in 2021
02:14I mean, B.C. had a very, very extreme heat wave
02:17I mean, we had a heat dome that was, let's say, 49.6 degrees in the air
02:22And B.C. and the fires burned the whole city down
02:26And I mean, like, we have had very, very hot summers
02:29And drugs and forest fires
02:31And I mean, this winter, for example
02:33We're supposed to be getting, supposed to be young in the winter
02:35But B.C. has experienced a very mild winter
02:38We've had no snow this winter in B.C.
02:40Not a single centimeter
02:42And it's only mid-February
02:43And that is not normal
02:45I mean, because they're usually, usually they're young
02:47And then we get cold and wet conditions
02:50And I'm seeing a lot of drugs and forest fires
02:54And I mean, every single time I turn on the news
02:57And see a disaster, right?
02:59I think you'll have a moment of camera change
03:01Oh my gosh
03:02No snow?
03:05Nope
03:05You got snow down here, though
03:08That, that makes, that is weird
03:13That is, that, I don't even have words for that
03:16Like, you got no snow and Tampa has got snow
03:19We were in the freezing zone
03:22For almost an entire week down here
03:24In Florida
03:26Not just Florida
03:28Southwest Florida
03:32How?
03:34That's crazy
03:35So no snow in Canada
03:40Especially B.C.
03:42B.C. has been very, very mild
03:45I mean, Canada mostly has snow in winter in Canada
03:48Except for B.C.
03:50The B.C. coast has not seen any snow
03:53This winter, Vancouver, Victoria
03:54No snow this winter
03:56Not a centimeter in base, Vancouver
03:59Over to it
04:01Now, usually if you, you get cherry blossoms
04:03They usually come out in February in Victoria
04:05This year, everything came out in January
04:08For the cherry blossoms
04:09Because it has more winter
04:11And I mean, I don't see any snow on the ground right now
04:13But I, not, not a single centimeter
04:16Mm, mm, mm
04:18That is absolutely crazy
04:19So what, what was it
04:23That really alarmed you?
04:24Like, the most alarming thing
04:27Besides no snow right now
04:29And snow in Tampa
04:31What was the one thing
04:33Because obviously your book has been out before
04:34It snowed here
04:35What was the one thing that really, really, truly
04:37Set you, like, a blaze
04:39When it came to
04:40I have to write this book
04:43Well, I mean, the scientists have been saying
04:45For years that the camera is warming
04:48They've been saying for many, many years
04:50That if we don't reduce greenhouse gases and emissions
04:52That the camera is going to keep warming
04:55And they say by 2100
04:56We're going to be pretty much extinct
04:58If we keep warming
04:59And the camera right now
05:01You get 2024
05:02As the warmest sharing record in 2024
05:04And then we reach 1.5 degrees above
05:07If we, I guess, industrial average
05:09Which has never been done before
05:11We never had hit
05:12Hit base 1.5
05:13We're not saying that we hit
05:14That like 1.7 in 2027
05:16Do that, do that, do that
05:18Basically, I don't know
05:19So that tells me
05:20That the camera is warming
05:22And this is man-made
05:24People are doing it
05:26Wow
05:27Well, I mean, okay, so
05:30What kind of solutions should we be looking towards?
05:32And even if we did look forward to these solutions
05:35Would they even work now?
05:38Well, this question is that
05:40If you look at the Coral, the Coral, the Coral
05:43Or like other Coral cars that failed
05:46I mean, I think that they have a target for 2030
05:48Of greenhouse gas emissions to be reduced
05:51And I don't think they've said that yet
05:53I don't think that's going to be achievable
05:54Because I mean, there's no debate in it
05:57And people have just been
06:00Tossing off the turf
06:01That it's not a big deal
06:02But I think that it's only just recently
06:05That we have had to understand
06:06That the camera is warming
06:08And it's just not soft warming
06:09If you get basically the green
06:12House gases and the night green
06:13And you get the Arctic
06:15Sea ice is melting
06:16And every summer, it's going to be gone
06:18There's not going to be any sea ice
06:21My gosh
06:22My goodness
06:23So, you know, I have to ask you
06:26During COVID, right?
06:27A lot of people were home
06:28There was a lot of
06:30The roads were bare
06:32There was nobody driving
06:33What do you think around that time
06:36Did we get a nice enough break
06:37In the emissions from the cars
06:41And the transportation
06:42To maybe help a little bit?
06:45I mean, what would we need to do
06:47To actually help
06:49Even like communities
06:53Well, I mean
06:55Greenhouse gas is up on CO2
06:57Which means from vehicles
06:58And mostly
07:00Although Canada has a magic or electric
07:03By 2035
07:04Which means that there's no gas
07:06Vehicles are just electric
07:08Charging vehicles
07:09And that's going to help
07:10So we need to
07:11Instead of using gas
07:13Or fossil fuels
07:15Or any kind of fuel
07:16Just use energy
07:17Like energy vehicles
07:19The vehicles that save energy
07:20Having gas
07:22Because if you look at
07:23The energy vehicles
07:24The energy stock vehicles
07:25Those vehicles
07:26Don't release the CO2 emissions
07:29Into the atmosphere
07:30That other vehicles
07:31Would that have gas
07:32Mm-hmm
07:33There's a lot of people
07:34That can't afford these vehicles
07:36They only have the gas vehicles
07:37To transfer everybody over
07:39From a gas
07:40And diesel
07:41To electric
07:42Would be a feat
07:44But what about
07:45All of the vehicles
07:47That actually
07:48Get dumped
07:49Because of this
07:51And what do we do
07:52With the battery disposal
07:55Well, that's the question
07:57I mean
07:57If you're good
07:58I mean
07:58Like
07:58For example
07:59We've been dumping stuff
08:00In the old sense
08:01We've been dumping stuff
08:02I guess
08:02Yonfields
08:03And that's not doing any good
08:04Because it's just going to be
08:06I mean
08:06Big holes
08:07And it's going to make
08:07The problem worse
08:08Yeah
08:08So we need to build
08:10Some more energy efficient
08:13Towers
08:13I guess
08:13We need to build stuff
08:15That is AI generated
08:17Energy
08:18We need to
08:20I mean
08:20I do feel that AI
08:21Is going to solve this
08:23Because
08:24There's going to be more stuff
08:26That's going to be built
08:26That's going to be
08:27Able to reduce
08:28The impact
08:30Of
08:31Barsing fuels
08:32And atmosphere
08:33How passionate are you
08:35About this
08:36I mean
08:36Are you concerned
08:37To the point where
08:38Maybe not in our generation
08:40Maybe in the next generation
08:42Or thereafter
08:42May really reap
08:44The repercussions
08:45Of our negligence
08:46On this situation
08:48Of global warming
08:50Yes, definitely
08:51I think that
08:52It's giving you
08:52Next generation
08:53Because we as human beings
08:55I mean
08:56If you get back
08:57In the 1800s
08:58And 1900s
08:59Where we didn't even have
09:00Vehicles
09:00I guess up until
09:01The 20th century
09:02We didn't even have
09:03Vehicles
09:04We had horses
09:04And wagons
09:05And that's all you got around
09:06But I think
09:08The vehicle
09:10And the car
09:10And we invented
09:12Gas
09:12And stuff like that
09:14And I'm not saying
09:15That those inventions
09:16Were bad
09:16But you know
09:17I mean
09:17The atmosphere
09:18Is very sensitive
09:19To these kind of sins
09:20Because it's going to
09:21Ruin the atmosphere
09:22And it's going to
09:22Pude it
09:23And if you look at
09:24The smog
09:24In cities like
09:26Ontario
09:27And Toronto
09:28And that is going
09:29To add up
09:29Because that
09:30Is going to make
09:31Health problems
09:32Is worse
09:33If the heat
09:33Increasing
09:34And both fires
09:35And stuff like that
09:36And that's not going
09:37To be good for people
09:39Yeah
09:39I agree with you
09:40I definitely agree with you
09:41Are you going to be
09:42Writing another book
09:43About this subject?
09:49Well
09:50Basically
09:51Possibly
09:52I'm going to
09:53I'm going to
09:54Write about AI
09:55And about AI
09:56Dystopian society
09:57Because that
09:58Is something
09:58That I would say
09:59It ties into
10:00The AI
10:00Dystopian
10:01Reality
10:02About what's
10:03Going to happen
10:03In the 22nd century
10:04Because if you look at
10:05The next century
10:06That's coming up
10:06It's going to be
10:07More technological
10:08Which means
10:10That we're going
10:10To have
10:11A community
10:12Much different
10:13Than this right now
10:15Yeah
10:16Wow
10:17This is a really
10:18Really important
10:19Subject
10:20What kind of
10:21Advice do you give
10:22To individuals
10:23Out there
10:23That possibly
10:24Can do something
10:25More to
10:26Contribute to
10:27Conservation
10:31Well
10:31All this
10:32Most we use
10:33Recycle
10:34Every sin
10:35I mean
10:35For example
10:35You have
10:36A castle
10:36Wallabod
10:37And they
10:38Don't
10:39Swirl on the
10:39Ground
10:39But then
10:40Recycling
10:41And then
10:41Recycle stuff
10:42Because
10:43For example
10:43You have
10:44A bag
10:44You use
10:45And then
10:45A space
10:46Can be
10:47Recycled
10:47You
10:47And we
10:48Can use
10:48And recycle
10:49Stuff
10:49You don't
10:50Have to
10:50Throw
10:50Every sin
10:50And the
10:51Anfield
10:51Or an
10:52Oats
10:52And you
10:53Can just
10:53Because that's
10:54Better
10:55That the
10:55Oats
10:56And so
10:56We have
10:57Toxins
10:57Because all
10:58The salmon
10:58Are dying
10:59Because there's
11:00Too much
11:00Pute in the
11:01Water
11:01And then
11:02For example
11:02In the
11:03Calcium
11:03River
11:03Where I live
11:05Basically
11:05The salmon
11:06There's no
11:07Salmon
11:07In the
11:08Summer
11:08Because all
11:09The water
11:09Is pure
11:10Toxins
11:11And all
11:11The salmon
11:12Are dying
11:12And they
11:12Can't
11:13Survive
11:13Wow
11:15I like
11:16Salmon
11:17Me too
11:19We need
11:20We need
11:21Salmon
11:23Yeah I
11:24I hear you
11:24Wow
11:25This is
11:25Crazy
11:26And for
11:27You guys
11:27To not
11:28Have snow
11:28And for
11:29South
11:30Florida
11:30Southwest
11:31Florida
11:31To have
11:32Snow
11:33Is really
11:34An indication
11:35That global
11:36Warming
11:37Is real
11:39It is
11:40Real
11:40And it's
11:41So real
11:42As a fact
11:43You look
11:44At BC
11:44Winter
11:45Is easy
11:45Usually
11:46You get
11:47It's
11:47One
11:47To
11:47Out
11:48To
11:48Out
11:48To
11:48To
11:48In
11:49BC
11:49They
11:50Ask
11:50Can
11:50We
11:50To
11:50This
11:51Year
11:51I'm
11:52Not
11:52Seeing
11:52One
11:52Out
11:52Out
11:52Yes
11:53And
11:54Yes
11:55It's
11:55Snow
11:55Finally
11:56Coming
11:56But
11:57It's
11:58Because
11:58I
11:59Mean
11:59I
12:00See
12:00Pia
12:00Hours
12:01Bobbing
12:01Everywhere
12:01I
12:02See
12:02Pia
12:03Allergy
12:04Seasons
12:04Are
12:04Very
12:04Intense
12:05Too
12:05Because
12:06It's
12:06To
12:06Be
12:07It's
12:08Always
12:08Intense
12:08Right
12:09Now
12:09It's
12:09Early
12:09February
12:10And
12:10Allergy
12:10Season
12:11Is
12:11Trying to
12:11Get
12:11Going
12:13Usually
12:13Is
12:13Month
12:14When
12:14Allergy
12:14Season
12:15Going
12:15But
12:15Now
12:16It's
12:16In
12:16January
12:16When
12:17It's
12:17Going
12:20That's
12:20Crazy
12:22Yeah
12:23It is
12:25It's
12:25Going to be
12:26Snow
12:26Ferentures
12:26Every
12:26Year
12:27I
12:27Mean
12:27I
12:28Think
12:28This
12:29Year
12:29If
12:30There
12:30Is
12:30Snow
12:31Ferentures
12:31It's
12:31Going to be
12:32The
12:32Fourth
12:32Winter
12:33We
12:33Have
12:33Snow
12:33Ferentures
12:34Since
12:351990
12:36And
12:37That's
12:37Not
12:39Normal
12:39We
12:40Still
12:40Have
12:40Snow
12:40Is
12:41One
12:41Sterling
12:41There
12:44Wow
12:44Well
12:45Duncan
12:46Did we

12:51Awesome
12:52Well
12:52We're
