00:03It's always emotional going home to Mexico.
00:07The Latin market is very important.
00:10You have to constantly create something fresh.
00:14If you stop, you stop.
00:16In LA, I could just get in the car, go to a shoot,
00:19come back home, I'm working, but not now.
00:21Every time I want to work, I've got to fly.
00:23My boyfriend Kyle was traded to Milwaukee.
00:27I will have to have the conversation
00:29that my career is hard in Milwaukee.
00:33Things are going to have to change.
00:34I get stressed all the time.
00:36My whole life, I always thought,
00:37I'm going to have kids when I'm 30,
00:38but it's really important for me to be married.
00:42And right now, we're like two passing ships in the night.
00:44I don't know how I'm going to make it work.
01:00Baby, what you got in mind?
01:04Feelings and I'd survive.
01:06I'm pulling up in the way of talking.
01:08Come on, staying in.
01:10Wouldn't be right.
01:12I want to forget my day.
01:15I can be the one, just say.
01:18Pour it up, light it up.
01:20PJ on the beat, what's up, yeah?
01:22This is all Lauren's shoes.
01:23This side, right?
01:25Can anybody show me what the first look is?
01:28Yes, so...
01:29Come on this side, maybe.
01:32Okay, so we're going to start with the trenches.
01:35Okay.
01:36I want to, like, tuck the hair into the trench
01:38and just have, like, a couple pieces in the front,
01:40just, like, really natural
01:41and, like, almost a little bit undone,
01:43a little bit of texture.
01:44Okay.
01:44So that's look one.
01:45I just want to really focus on skin.
01:47Just, like, really beautiful, luminous skin.
01:50There's a lot on me.
01:51Here I am, leading this company,
01:53constantly working.
01:54The marketing of the products,
01:55how to sell them,
01:56let me see the whole rebranding
01:59of what Isotonix looks like.
02:01We're looking at a prototype
02:02of the larger bottle.
02:04That's great.
02:05Yeah.
02:06That's a high five.
02:07That's a home run.
02:07That's a high five.
02:08That just saves a lot of money.
02:10We are preparing for conventions in Taiwan,
02:13Malaysia,
02:1420 to 30 new product launches,
02:16doing things I had never done before.
02:19Can we see a few of the new products
02:21that are coming out?
02:22Yeah.
02:22So I got our new tower electrolytes.
02:26And there's also, by the way,
02:27Motives,
02:28the makeup line that I started many years before.
02:31You know, Motives started with,
02:32I used to wear this really pretty blue eyeshadow.
02:35Girls used to ask me all the time
02:37to show them how to do it.
02:38And I was like,
02:38I'm gonna make a cosmetic line
02:40because I just wanted to do more and be more.
02:43Ann, how excited are you
02:45that we're shooting together?
02:46I'm excited for it.
02:47It's fun for me.
02:48It's just different.
02:48We never take time to do photos together.
02:51I know.
02:52It's funny.
02:52When you look at Dad's phone, though,
02:54you're in every photo.
02:55That's why I did it,
02:56just to have the photos together.
02:58I'm so excited to do it for El Taiwan,
03:00but part of this whole article
03:01is the passing of Motives, the baton.
03:04It's gonna be amazing.
03:06It's gonna be great.
03:07It's a lot of moving parts.
03:09I have had to get other people to take on more.
03:12Amber is taking over Motives.
03:14She's really pressing forward with the whole rebrand of it.
03:17Something that's cutting edge
03:18and is young and fresh and modern.
03:20This is her way, her look, her product.
03:23So these are your glosses.
03:26So this is the new Motives packaging?
03:29Yeah.
03:29Amber came up with the design.
03:31Amber, this is gorgeous.
03:32You know me, I'm such a creative freak.
03:34I'm on top of every single detail.
03:36I'm like the one doing it all.
03:38I'm more of the concept and you're creative.
03:40That's good.
03:41That's a good mix.
03:42The last couple years,
03:43makeup and Motives was just one of the many things I did.
03:47But it was incredibly personal to me.
03:50And now, I don't have time for that.
03:52So I really needed somebody coming like Amber
03:54that poured a lot of love into it
03:55with real purpose and passion.
04:02That, uh...
04:03Yup.
04:04This should be more open.
04:06I'm proud of where she's going.
04:07I'm proud of what she's doing.
04:09I like that.
04:10I like that one.
04:16You know, the last couple years,
04:18I was in a fog.
04:19I want to show her that her mom is still here
04:21and that I'm behind her on it.
04:23It is not easy to take over a brand
04:25that your mom blew up into a multi-million dollar brand.
04:28Okay, two more looks, team.
04:30Two more looks.
04:31Yes, that one was cute.
04:33Already beautiful.
04:34Yeah, I know.
04:36Are you excited about this launch with Motives?
04:38I'm excited.
04:39I'm excited for this event
04:40because it's, like, we want to do, like,
04:42all these little pop-ups and, like, cool things,
04:44like, once it's established.
04:45But I feel like it'll be cool.
04:46We're going to do, like, a really cool women's event.
04:48That's a lot of work.
04:49That is.
04:49Yeah, I got it.
04:50I'm very strategic.
04:51Okay.
04:52Trust me.
04:53Trust me.
04:54Amber wants to do the launch of the makeup in Miami
04:57during Art Basel.
04:58But people get busy at Art Basel.
05:00When you're working toward an event like this,
05:02everything has to be executed flawlessly.
05:04You know, this is the part where I have to dive in,
05:07especially pressing forward with the whole rebrand of it.
05:10We're going to have to figure this out.
05:11We don't have a lot of time to figure it out.
05:13Okay, good.
05:13Well, let's get dressed for the rest of these shots.
05:16I'm going to change.
05:16No one throw away my suit.
05:17I'm going to get the next shot.
05:18And I'm taking a Pez on the way.
05:36Hi, sweet.
05:38Hello, Sugarpop Dumpling.
05:40How are you, baby girl?
05:42Good.
05:42I'm going through the Simply Winnie book.
05:46I have a little surprise for you.
05:49There's the family.
05:52And who's that?
05:53Me.
05:54It's a teeny bean.
05:55Teeny bean.
05:56So cute.
05:57That's just very accurate.
05:58I used to pick you up from school on my bike.
06:02Come on, sista.
06:03Get on here.
06:04Get on the bike then.
06:04Get on this bike.
06:07So, have you found the place in LA yet?
06:09How's the search going?
06:10I did.
06:11I found a condo that I really like.
06:13I feel like it meets all of my criteria.
06:15I just wanted something like condo.
06:18That I could be in and out between Milwaukee and LA.
06:22It would be nice to be able to be back on the same time zone
06:24as a lot of my team.
06:26From my managers, to my agency, to my K-Skin team.
06:30A lot of my people are based in LA.
06:32It just makes a lot of sense for me to have a base where I can work.
06:35And I can't work where I'm at.
06:40So, how does Kyle feel about everything?
06:43Um, he understands and it makes complete sense.
06:48And he's kind of sad, you know, obviously, that we're not going to be together.
06:53My life has been a whirlwind of moving and that did not change when it came to my relationship with
06:59Kyle.
07:00But I really need to focus on building K-Skin.
07:04So, I have a new base in Milwaukee as well as a condo that I just got in LA that
07:13allows us to be bi-coastal
07:17and allows him to work in the places that he needs to work and the places that I need to
07:23work.
07:24We've just been working on creating a workflow balance with where we plant our feet and where we spend our
07:32time.
07:32I feel like it defeats the purpose if we're already missing so much time together
07:38and it's also making it difficult for me to work, you know?
07:42Yeah.
07:43And then if we try and we don't like it, we figure something else out.
07:48But like, what's life if not to be lived?
07:51Having that patience with our schedules is a part of our relationship.
07:56So, it's about making that commitment to the evolution of our lives
08:02and our growths separately as together.
08:05It makes me so sad talking about this because, like...
08:08I mean, I am too.
08:09I know the plan was, like, for you to move and everything
08:11and then you guys, you know, have your little family started,
08:14and now that kind of delays everything.
08:16It's empty babies.
08:18Yeah, I'm excited to have babies, but I want to get married first.
08:21I think that's priority for me.
08:24But don't you feel like this may be, like, a setback?
08:29My mom had me at 30 and I'm 30 now.
08:34But it was important for me to find love and to be married before I had kids.
08:40We'll see.
08:42Okay.
08:43Kyle and I have been dating for five years, you know?
08:46Everything in due time.
08:47But right now, I'm trying to focus on things that I'm passionate about.
08:53I am not mad about the timeline.
08:55I'm in.
08:57We make all these plans and God's like...
08:59Right.
09:04We'll see.
09:16Wow!
09:18How are you?
09:22Hello!
09:24Y están todas!
09:27Oh my God!
09:28¿Cómo estás?
09:29Hola, bebé.
09:31¿Cómo estás?
09:32Everything good?
09:45I'm so happy that we made it, that we're here.
09:54After the Mexico tour, I came back re-energized.
09:59I've been building in the U.S. apparel, home, jewelry, but music, music is my heartbeat.
10:08Llegó una sorpresita.
10:11A ver, a ver, a ver.
10:12Yo ya me voy a encuerar.
10:14Oh, my God.
10:17We have a request del equipo de Zash para tener un filtrín contigo.
10:24Stop it.
10:25No, no me estás mintiendo.
10:31Collaborating with other women has become something deeper for me.
10:35It's not just music.
10:37It's support.
10:38It's sisterhood.
10:40It's telling stories that matter.
10:41I love to do collaborations with the youngest, new, fresh newcomers.
10:47It's a good way for my audience to connect to their audience.
10:51Keep it creative.
10:52Keep it fun.
10:54Además, me encantan ellas.
10:56They're so good.
10:58And very, like, very honest.
11:00Como honestas, como fun.
11:02Lo que ves es lo que hay.
11:03Sí.
11:33Have you experienced ageism as an artist?
11:36Oh, yes.
11:37Yes.
11:38If you're in your 30s, you're super old.
11:40If you are in your 50s, then, like, that's it.
11:43Dead.
11:44So, there's, like, some insecurities.
11:46I think with music, there's no age.
11:48Like, really, with music, you can just keep being creative.
11:53And, uh, you can experience with different styles.
11:56And in my case, I like to mix and match.
11:59Because it's the experience of the creative aspect of music.
12:06And it's ageless.
12:08Okay, I love it. I love it.
12:10Qué emoción.
12:12Okay, perfecto.
12:13Yay!
12:30How have you guys been?
12:32So good. I miss you.
12:34I miss you.
12:35I hate when I don't see you for too long.
12:37I know. I know.
12:38I've been traveling.
12:38And you've been traveling, right?
12:40A lot.
12:41I know.
12:41I'm really happy to be back here.
12:43I miss Miami a lot.
12:45It's so important to have these meetings with my co-founder
12:49and members of my team in order to stay on the right track
12:52and make sure that we're readily communicating.
12:55I am really excited that you guys were able to meet with me
12:58because this lip applicator situation is really driving me nuts.
13:04I know.
13:05I recently got this lip balm at Sephora.
13:08And I see the product inside, but it just won't come out.
13:13You know firsthand, but the reviews have not been good.
13:16Yeah.
13:17Please consider changing the packaging.
13:19I'm never able to use the last one-third of my gloss
13:21because of clogging.
13:23One comment like this, and it's serious to me.
13:26The fan favorite of K-Skin is the Aisle Glow lip balm.
13:30It is a staple, an everyday go-to.
13:34It is an SPF lip balm.
13:37But the lip tip was clogging.
13:41Negative reviews on an amazing product can really tank your sales.
13:46And it can ruin the customer experience.
13:50Woo!
13:51Our customers are not happy, and it is affecting sales.
13:55And you know, like, we're going to need to raise this next year.
13:59And I want to make it as easy as possible for you to show a beautiful picture
14:03so that we can raise more money so that we can keep this brand going.
14:06What happened?
14:07Like, what is going on with the tube?
14:10The twist part of the cap and the squeeze tube is one material.
14:14This material is what's not compatible with the SPF.
14:17Okay.
14:18So lower the SPF factor.
14:20We know that it's really the SPF that is messing with that tip that we all know and love.
14:26My goal for K and for even our future products is to only go higher on SPF.
14:33If we change, let's just pretend we were to change it.
14:36Like, we should explore the option.
14:38What would we have to change?
14:39We might end up with a whole different formula.
14:41My biggest worry is our consumer not trusting us.
14:45And let me show you one other thing.
14:46Our reviews on Sephora have gone down.
14:49Oh, my gosh.
14:50We're now below four stars.
14:51This used to be a five-star product.
14:53And we have our meeting with Sephora coming up.
14:55And they can see these reviews when they're doing due diligence.
14:58They're going to look at this and want to know that we've addressed it head-on.
15:01I'm really worried that now, like, it's everywhere.
15:05I'm really hands-on when it comes to K-Skin.
15:07It is my baby, and I test products.
15:10I'm creating the content.
15:11I'm going into stores.
15:12I actually go into Sephora's, and I will fix up my booth at Sephora.
15:16I'm such a fan of Sephora, and I feel like that relationship is so important.
15:21I need this solved.
15:23I think we see all options, see how much time it will take,
15:27and then whatever the best option is, we'll take it from there.
15:32We're in it together.
15:32Yes.
15:33We got this.
15:34We got this.
15:35All right.
15:38And I'm really giving it all.
15:40They all said that I would fall.
15:42I took my mom to the mall, and now we're blowing it all on.
15:46Diamonds in my head like people stop and stare like I don't really care.
15:50Nah, nah, nah.
15:52Hey.
15:56How are you?
15:57You look so good.
15:58I missed you.
15:59Come sit with me.
16:00Can I get ginger tea, please?
16:03You got it.
16:03Yeah, thank you.
16:05How are you?
16:06I'm good.
16:06How's these New York streets?
16:08Oh, my God.
16:09They're good, but I'm going back to Miami next week.
16:11I'm going to be moving back this year back to the house when the house is finished.
16:14I'm going to have to come and stay.
16:15Now I have to stay with me and Amber.
16:17Yes.
16:18How's Kay going?
16:19Kay is good.
16:20We're working on fixing the tip of the lip balm, too.
16:24Okay, I know what it's like when we're dealing with products.
16:28You know, people think that coming out with a product is so easy.
16:30It's so not.
16:31So not.
16:32And then just the building out the brand and then the marketing.
16:34And I think, you know, I like that Amber is doing more with the business now so I can
16:39get her more involved in making the products because I love the marketing side of it.
16:43Lauren is one of the strongest women I know.
16:46She runs a billion dollar business.
16:47So I feel like this coffee is going to be a great time to ask some questions about business
16:54because she has so much knowledge to share.
16:57The tip that I chose, which I'm obsessed with, it doesn't work well with the SPF formulation right now.
17:05I have to figure out the right formula and what has to change.
17:09It's easier to go with another package than change the formula.
17:14Formulations are so hard to come by.
17:16The decision I have to make is either changing the formula or changing the bottle.
17:19And I love the formula and I work so hard on the formula.
17:23And you know how hard it is to get a good formula.
17:25When I create my products and the ingredients that I choose,
17:28I'm choosing the things that I know and I have researched are good for me.
17:33And if it's good for me, it's good for everyone.
17:35It's better to change the tip as much as you were committed to it.
17:39I know it breaks your heart, I can tell. I hate that.
17:42I always deal with packaging issues.
17:44This is a really hard decision for me because I know people do love the applicator.
17:49But the thing that makes Aisle SPF lip balm a fan favorite is the formula.
17:55I can't compromise my mission for my SPF to protect all skin tones and types from the sun.
18:03And so I decided not to change the product. It's got to be the packaging.
18:06What you have done using your own message to build that brand I think is so powerful.
18:12I love hearing that from you because like your hard work and entrepreneurship is so inspiring.
18:18It's important to me.
18:18I think it's so important for women to like make sure that you have something that is your own.
18:24I feel like the best thing you can do for yourself is to put you and your brand before everything
18:30else.
18:30Absolutely.
18:31What else is going on? Are you happy?
18:32Yeah, Kyle just told me that he wants me to come to more games in the season to support him.
18:39I know, it's an adjustment. You're doing a lot.
18:41Focus on the brand.
18:42Don't think about the cold.
18:43Don't think about the cold.
18:44Listen, as soon as it gets a little too chilly, I'll be over at your house.
18:47I love you anyway.
18:48I love you. I love you so much.
18:51I love you.
18:59Baby.
19:00Good morning, baby. How are you?
19:01Good, you?
19:02How are you feeling today?
19:04I don't know, like...
19:09I like weird.
19:11This is like a bad movie, you know, the way I look at it.
19:14And titi cu cu.
19:15Yeah, I know.
19:16My sister.
19:17The one that we love.
19:18Last week, I learned my sister was sick, and I visited her in the hospital in Mexico,
19:24to be there with the whole family, supporting her.
19:28We laughed a lot. We cried a lot.
19:31When I left the hospital, everything looked positive.
19:35I came back home, and then out of nowhere, it turned to the worst.
19:40And yesterday, I received a phone call, and it was unexpected, and it just, like, it happened.
19:46I lost my sister.
19:50She was everything.
19:52Powerful.
19:54Powerful soul.
19:56And I felt like the floor disappeared.
20:00It's just terrible.
20:01Yeah, yeah, yeah.
20:01And I'm just happy that you're praying with me, and that you like being with me.
20:06All the time.
20:06It wasn't just losing my sister.
20:11It was losing a part of my history, a part of myself.
20:16She was always strong, always positive, and powerful.
20:23Tomorrow, I have my video shoot with Hash, and suddenly, none of it feels possible.
20:29I don't want to perform.
20:31I just want to go home, and I just want to grieve.
20:35Algunas perdidas, no puedes nombrarlas.
20:39Some losses feel too big for words.
20:44It's terrible. It's terrible.
20:46Like, in an outer reality, like, is this real?
20:50No, it's very...
20:50I'm pinching myself.
20:52Very surreal, because it just happened like that, and, you know, it's, uh...
20:57It's just bad.
20:58All the time.
20:59It's just bad.
21:01It is very hard for me to keep working.
21:05My soul is with my sister.
21:08My heart, my emotions is with her.
21:11And I just cannot, cannot understand what am I gonna do, or how am I gonna deal with it.
21:17I-I need a lot of us.
21:21Yeah.
21:23Because I cannot be here for me right now.
21:28Love me longer, love me harder, love me more than yesterday.
21:38Love me better, love me forever, love me more.
21:45Being in Miami always is like being home with JR, though.
21:48Yeah.
21:48Because this was his favorite place to be in the world.
21:51I wanted it to be sunshine so I could walk through the house.
21:54Amber wants to launch Motives during Art Basel Week at the Guest House, but our Miami house has been under
22:02construction since April of 2022.
22:03I worry about how presentable it'll all be, and I haven't been there in some time.
22:08Going to the house is somewhat of a challenge for me.
22:11You know, it's a-a reminder for me of what I've lost in fixing all the things that I feel
22:18are still broken.
22:19I think Gary's meeting us, right?
22:21Yeah.
22:21The project manager's meeting us, and hopefully the walls are up at least so I can get an idea.
22:26Mm-hmm.
22:27Because it should have been walls up, bathrooms and kitchens in.
22:32Yeah, yeah.
22:32You know.
22:34I thought we was finishing touches.
22:37Wow, nothing has been done.
22:39It looked just like it did when I saw it.
22:41Just like.
22:42I gotta call Amber.
22:44Hi.
22:45He did nothing.
22:46I mean, I've just pulled up.
22:47I'm not even going in yet.
22:48He did nothing.
22:50It's the same thing as before.
22:53You can already tell.
22:54Not even the staircase outside is done.
22:56Everything's done.
22:57I feel definitely taken advantage of.
23:00How do you not get a whole crew of people in there and work on a construction project that you've
23:05been brought on to do and justify that?
23:08If you're supposedly a builder, then you're gonna get a crew in there to build.
23:11Nothing's happened.
23:15It's a very heartbreaking moment.
23:19I can't believe they haven't done anything.
23:22Nothing.
23:22He did nothing.
23:23Looks like it's abandoned.
23:25Yeah.
23:25It looks like it's abandoned.
23:27I mean, they didn't even put the floors down yet in here.
23:30He really did nothing.
23:32I mean, it's the same.
23:35I feel like I'm walking into where I was in May.
23:40We're in October.
23:42No, it's just...
23:43It's gonna be beautiful.
23:44It's gonna be beautiful.
23:44It's just all of the cabling and changes to your master.
23:50It's been nearly a year since I've been to the house.
23:53How in the world did I allow so much time to go by before I could face it?
23:56And now look at it.
23:57It's a disaster.
23:58It's a...
23:59Nothing has happened.
24:00I mean, I was planning on moving in in two months.
24:02Can you imagine?
24:03Yeah.
24:03That's what I was being told.
24:05Yeah.
24:05Who in the world could live here in two months?
24:08Who couldn't?
24:09No.
24:09Not possible.
24:10It's a joke.
24:10Not possible.
24:11It's still stuck in the same place where JR and I left it, basically.
24:15The house is bare.
24:16There are no walls.
24:17There are no floors.
24:18There is nothing.
24:19I can't tell you how disappointing this is for me.
24:22I'm trying to really keep it together.
24:24I know you are.
24:25It's really hard on me right now.
24:26You know, for this Motives launch at the guest house,
24:29I'm worried about the dust, the construction,
24:33how it's gonna look, how it's gonna come together.
24:35Now, where's this thing gonna be?
24:37How are we gonna make that happen?
24:38What are we gonna do?
24:40We have a disaster zone on our hands.
24:43Just sucks.
24:58Let's go talk Art and Blazel for a minute, no?
25:02Kamal's here with us.
25:03Are you gonna meet with us?
25:04What up?
25:05Looking good.
25:06Oh, my God, guys.
25:08Look at this.
25:09My grandson.
25:11How beautiful is he?
25:12He's growing up.
25:14This is why I have to do so many other things,
25:16because they're gonna end up having their own life.
25:18I'm gonna cry.
25:18I love you so much.
25:21Okay.
25:21That's it.
25:22We're gonna talk about Amber's event.
25:24The Motives that Amber's taking over.
25:26That's a big deal for me.
25:28Do we have alcohol sponsored?
25:29I have the alcohol and I have the food.
25:31Really?
25:32Yes.
25:32Looking for a place for this launch has been challenging
25:36because, you know, she wanted to do it on the boat,
25:38but then the boat couldn't get back
25:40and be ready from the shipyard in time.
25:42The house is under full construction.
25:44We don't have a lot of time.
25:45Finding a venue of where to do this launch will be hard.
25:49Everything you and I have ever done with Art Basel
25:53has been first class.
25:55You know, maybe she could do something beautiful here.
25:57We've done it before.
25:58I mean, if we have to do it here,
26:00I'd rather not put a hundred people in here.
26:02Can you rent the Dior Cafe for her?
26:05I'm just thinking if I can do that.
26:07Let me talk to my people.
26:08That could be a cool place for her to do it.
26:10Sofia in the Design District.
26:11And could you do an event there?
26:13Amber, it's very Instagrammable for Amber's type stuff.
26:16Like, if you're gonna do that, it's a beautiful space.
26:18It's strong imagery, nice colors.
26:20Did you tell her this?
26:21No, I was...
26:22I'm gonna call her.
26:22I just found out on the way here,
26:24so I just put out some feelers.
26:25I just wanna call her.
26:27Hey.
26:28Hey, real quick.
26:28I'm just here with Angel and Kamal.
26:30Kamal and I are looking for a backup.
26:32One would be Sofia, the restaurant.
26:34Kamal's friends with them over at the Design District.
26:37It's really beautiful.
26:38And the other one would be the Dior Cafe.
26:41I'm just gonna do it in the guest house.
26:43Okay, but the guest house is next door
26:45to a major construction site.
26:47I know.
26:48What about the Moore?
26:49But Sofia...
26:49No, the Moore's too big for this, I think.
26:51And I like it.
26:52No, we could dinner for like 40 to 50.
26:54Oh, okay.
26:54We'll do it in the guest house.
26:55It's a terrific scenario.
26:56All right, honey.
26:57Love you.
26:58Bye.
27:00I don't feel any sense of comfort right now.
27:04No.
27:04We gotta...
27:05We gotta fire.
27:07We gotta put the fire out.
27:08Hardest thing in the world is to relinquish control
27:11of something when you are a control fanatic.
27:14So to let go of this launch for motives, it's hard.
27:19But I think she wants to have it there
27:20because it's a place she's always done everything,
27:22and she feels like she can control that space,
27:25and it's not too big, not too small.
27:27And it's personal.
27:29So I have to make this work
27:30because this is where she wants it to be,
27:32and I need to support her.
27:33Let's get it done.
27:34All right, love you.
27:36I love you too, honey.
27:37Somebody tell me, how do you get back home
27:44When you're spinning hard to control
27:47I just wanna let go
27:52Right now the future is so clear
27:58The fact that I have eyes today
28:01was just a commitment.
28:03That's something I get that thing to say about you.
28:05You're always committed to anything you do.
28:18Losing my sister still doesn't look real.
28:22I don't feel it's real.
28:23And today I have to show up like everything is fine.
28:26That's the hardest part.
28:28You smile, you perform,
28:31and you hope no one sees the cracks.
28:35As soon as we wrap, I'm flying home.
28:39I'm just pushing through for her.
28:41Hi, girl.
28:44Thank you for being here.
28:46You're beautiful.
28:47Have a little patience with me.
28:49Everything you need.
28:51A little bit like...
28:52It's impossible to put on a good face
28:57because you are going through...
29:01through a nightmare.
29:02Talia, what you need, what you need.
29:05But we have a toy,
29:07and it's our costume in our video.
29:08Let's do it and let's go for it, okay?
29:11You have to kind of like be strong for that moment,
29:15even though your heart is far away from there.
29:19It's just like a division of brain and emotions.
29:23I see them.
29:25Okay, everybody.
29:27It's ready, guys.
29:28From the top.
29:29From the top.
29:29This is a full performance, everybody.
29:32Hey, camera up.
29:34Lay back.
29:35Let's go.
29:45Hay.
29:51Let's go.
29:53Let's go.
29:54Let's go.
29:54Let's go.
29:59Hello.
30:00Algo sirve, aquí estoy yo, para llenarte de valor.
30:04Si, pa' olvidarlo, hoy tenemos que tomar la noche entera.
30:09Aquí me tienes a tu lado.
30:15Paso.

30:31Pues sí, nosotros llevamos años haciendo con quien quieren.
30:34Con Talía, con Talía, con Talía.
30:35Si tú ves todas nuestras entrevistas hace años, era con Talía.
30:39¡No!
30:40¡De verdad!
30:42¿No sería divertido?
30:43¡Mijo, Talías, pero no, él es solo.
30:46¿Ya sabes cómo haces ese rollo?
30:48¡Andale, vamos!
30:49¡Una, dos!
30:51¡Un, dos!

30:57¡Buenas!
30:57¡Buenas!
30:58¡Buenas!
31:00¡Buenas!
31:01¡Buenas!
31:01¡Buenas!
31:26¡Buenas!
31:27time to my family and I know that when I come back, my music will carry a different kind of
31:33truth.
31:54I'm excited for the meeting. I am. Glasses on. Professional. Professional. I love it. I love it.
32:02You got your blazer. I know. I'm really nervous going into this meeting with Sephora because they're a beauty giant.
32:10They're really important to the success of this brand that means so much to me. And I need to be
32:17able to convince Sephora that we've fixed the tip of the lip balm applicator. Went back like we talked about.
32:24We were able to get some samples. So this sample is with the orifice a little bit bigger. What did
32:30they say when it went to testing?
32:32They said that when it does heat up that it does start to kind of close back. So I think
32:38eventually this one will clog as well. I think it was a good idea. But again, let's let's do I
32:46think do the right thing.
32:47Okay. And so this would be the mono material plastic. No, the feel of this tip is really good. And
32:54I think the people are going to love it. And we'll be able to do every shade.
32:58But if Sephora doesn't like it, we have a problem. Thank you guys for coming. I'm excited to talk about
33:04product and also getting ahead of some other things for next year.
33:07Thank you guys for making the time. It's always so fun to be in person.
33:11I know. Well, thank you for coming. Thank you for traveling here. Where do we want to start?
33:16So, of course, we've all seen on social media that a lot of people are bringing up the applicator tip
33:22is having a little bit of a malfunction.
33:24Yeah, I mean, in addition to what you all have been seeing on social, like in comments and stuff, we
33:30are seeing very consistent feedback in the reviews. So I do think it's very good that we are kind of
33:35like tackling this head on and just like I think even exploring updating the formula is honestly a big thing
33:42in terms of like a credibility point of view and just keeping our client loyal and coming back.
33:47So we have tried a couple of things. We did try different formulas and I didn't love any of them.
33:56So the only other option I think is to change the applicator tip. And so we brought some new options
34:02for you guys to try and see how you feel about them.
34:08Wearing SPF every single day is so important for me and it's a part of the reason why I created
34:12K Skin.
34:14I really wanted to create an SPF brand that you want to wear every single day based out of my
34:20experiences that I had.
34:22I think that the formula we have is the best formula.
34:29I'm really hoping that they like the tip that we've decided on because if they don't, we're going to have
34:36to go back to the drawing board.
34:38And that just extends the timeline on when we can get a fixed product out.
34:43I think it still feels very soft. It doesn't have any of the hard edges that you might sometimes expect
34:48with a harder material like this.
34:51So I think the experience is still going to be very nice. It was 100% the right call.
34:55Yeah.
34:56Thank you. Thank you so much.
34:58So good to hear.
35:00Oh, thank God.
35:03I'm really happy that I stuck to my guns and didn't go forward with changing the formula because I really
35:10feel like that's a part of the trust building with the K Skin community.
35:15Put it in the factory.
35:18Let's get it moving.
35:19When it comes to, like, perfecting the products of K Skin, it's always important to me that you want to
35:25use it.
35:26I'm really excited for, like, the world to get this product.
35:30It's a really good formula and then you get SPF protection on top of that.
35:34Like, you really can't compare it to many other options, so.
35:38You know, people are going to ensure they have that protection all day long.
35:42That's the goal.
35:42Never skip your SPF.
35:43Exactly.
35:44Three at five.
35:46Hey ho, I gotta go.
35:48I found myself in vertigo.
35:51I said, hey ho, don't you know?
35:53I see more than in the gold.
35:56Okay, so we're going to the guest house.
35:58I'm just really excited to see what she did here.
36:01I think it's going to be great.
36:02You do?
36:05Oh, gosh.
36:06You finally answered and hung up.
36:08Hi, babe.
36:09Is anyone there?
36:10No, not yet.
36:11We're just, like, finishing up last minute things.
36:12I said three of slots, so I'm hoping they get here by 3.30.
36:15Yeah, yeah, they'll be fine.
36:17Well, we're on our way, Lena, I, and Christian.
36:20All right, love you.
36:21We love you.
36:22Everything's amazing.
36:23We decided to have Amber's event at the guest house.
36:26She's like, mom, it'll be great.
36:27It'll be beautiful.
36:28And she felt super confident about it, so I'm behind her.
36:32So I'm really excited to see what it looks like.
36:34Okay, motives layered.
36:36Here we go, it's show time.
36:38Let's go.
36:40Hi.
36:40Hi.
36:46Oh, look at this.
36:48Lena, look at this.
36:49How cute this is.
36:50How cute.
36:52This is so chic.
36:54Oh, my God.
36:55I love this.
36:57Right?
36:57I feel like I'm in Italy somewhere.
37:00I mean, she has the lemons strung on the trees.
37:03She has the lights everywhere.
37:05Everything is decorated to a tee.
37:07The makeup was falling out of dispensing machines.
37:10It was incredible.
37:12Em, come on.
37:14You look so good.
37:15We're matching.
37:15Hi, baby.
37:18This is so chic.
37:20You're cute, right?
37:21I just want people to show up.
37:22Get in.
37:23They will.
37:24This is so cute.
37:27Oh, yeah, sure.
37:28Can I go on the other side of you?
37:29Hello.
37:31Hello.
37:31How are you?
37:32This is so beautiful.
37:33It's gorgeous.
37:34Got to make the back to them.
37:35They're going crazy.
37:36I'm obsessed.
37:38Isabella.
37:39She's feeling okay.
37:42This looks so good.
37:43Cute, eh?
37:45I love watching it come to life.
37:47I love that my friends, without even asking, stepped in.
37:51Oh, my God.
37:53You know, Jamie Foxx came in and surprised us.
37:56It was so great to see Jamie because I had not seen him in some time.
38:00Made me so happy.
38:02Carmelo Anthony came.
38:03We didn't expect guys to come, but they ended up coming.
38:06That's their way of supporting me, too.
38:08And I love them for it.
38:10I really do.
38:10Oh, that's beautiful.
38:12Beautiful.
38:12Amber did it.
38:13I wish I could take so dope.
38:14So beautiful.
38:15I got it turned off.
38:16If you put a playlist on, it's fine.
38:17Unless you want everyone out of your house.
38:20Rain is coming down.
38:21I'm like, I'm turning the music off.
38:23That's the best party of our girl.
38:25This party ended up being so incredible.
38:28Now it's time for yourself.
38:29Sit down.
38:30You're making me nervous.
38:31Yeah, I'm sitting there.
38:31I think Amber's realizing, like, this is mine now.
38:35My mom has stepped away.
38:36I can make these decisions.
38:37I can do what I want.
38:38She doesn't really need me anymore.
38:41Hi, babe.
38:42This is so freaking cute, though.
38:44Congratulations, my love.
38:45I love you.
38:47This was an absolute success.
38:48If I have a K-Skin event, I need you to help me with it because this...
38:54This is so much fun.
38:55I'm proud of you.
38:56You killed it.
38:57This was such a good event.
38:58The whole charm thing, we're obsessed with it.
38:59This needs to be, like, a thing now, though.
39:01Like, a charm.
39:02No, this is a thing.
39:02Especially with the teddy bear and the flower.
39:05Yeah.
39:06And the pink and the blue.
39:11How are you?
39:12How's everything?
39:13I'm putting my focus on my own apparel line.
39:16I've partnered with One Jeans Group.
39:18You gave us the sets.
39:20We made them slightly, um, a little bit more dramatic in fashion details.
39:23What is this print?
39:24I mean, it was just completely, completely different.
39:27There was nothing to do with the brand.
39:29I'm getting a little bit frustrated.
39:33Okay, let's go see the space.
39:35Okay.
39:35I'm excited.
39:36My company's growing.
39:37It could be the right time to expand it and to open another retail store.
39:42What is this little area?
39:43So that's a little closet.
39:44Uh, you could.
39:45What?
39:46What was that?
39:47It's insulation.
39:49Something in the above.
39:50You think it was a polar bear or something?
39:52It's obviously such a challenging environment right now.
39:56It's hard.
39:57And what you've chosen to do is not easy.
40:00It's been grueling to have so many no's from potential investors.
40:05The pressure's always there.
40:07I feel like I've always had pressure.
40:09Yeah, you have.
40:10On the bad days, it's like, is this worth it?
40:14Oh, oh, oh, oh.
40:20In the heat of the battle, yeah, you know I'm not giving up.
40:26Cause I fight for a man and tell you know that you're right for love.
40:33Not afraid of the fire and the flame, oh, I won't rise above.
40:38Cause I am a warrior
40:44Yeah, yeah
40:47Oh, I am a warrior
40:55Oh, I am a warrior
41:08Oh, I am a warrior
