00:00It's such a challenging environment right now to raise capital.
00:05What you've chosen to do is not easy.
00:08Fundraising has definitely been a grueling.
00:10Feel the fear and do it anyway.
00:14When it comes to fundraising, I need to get myself out there
00:17in front of potential investors who are actually interested in women's health.
00:22I do have some, like, high-profile people.
00:25Okay.
00:25They have to be optimistic in order to make this happen.
00:30I'm going through the Simply Winnie book. So cute.
00:34Have you found a place really yet?
00:36I did. I found a condo that I really like.
00:39Kyle and I, we've been dating for five years.
00:41I know this line was, like, for you to have your family started.
00:43Now that kind of delays everything.
00:45Having that patience is a part of our relationship.
00:48Don't you feel like this may be a setback?
00:53Greenwich, I just need your thoughts on this.
00:55I received this offer that is almost too good.
00:58Wow. The law.
00:59The house wasn't listed for sale, but yet I have unsolicited offers.
01:04Double of what we paid.
01:06And the hardest decisions to make are the emotional decisions.
01:09Yep.
01:10None of it's easy.
01:12I will give you fire.
01:20I will give you fire.
01:22I will give you fire.
01:23This is the reckoning.
01:28No mercy.
01:30No mercy.
01:32No heart to break.
01:33No heart to break.
01:35Set in the trial.
01:36Set in the trial.
01:37Right at the stake.
01:47No mercy.
01:52It's not even cold out today, huh?
01:54How are you?
01:55Oh, I love you.
01:56How are you?
01:57Let's go sit down.
01:59Oh.
01:59It's just, like, intense.
02:02It was an intense week.
02:04It was an intense week?
02:05Yeah.
02:05Week working, everything.
02:07Right?
02:08Let's sit, cuddle up.
02:10You've just been going at it.
02:12I just...
02:14Yeah.
02:15I just needed you so badly.
02:17I know.
02:17I just came back from Mexico to be there with the whole family,
02:22to honor my sister.
02:23It was heartbreaking, but also was full of love.
02:26I love you. I'm just so sorry.
02:28I needed you so much.
02:29I was thinking about you so much, and your sister,
02:32and you've just been through so much.
02:35Lauren and I truly been through it all together.
02:38She lost her husband, and I lost my sister.
02:41So we kind of understand each other in a way that goes beyond words.
02:46She's the kind of friend you can call at 2 a.m.,
02:49and she picks up immediately.
02:52I'm fried.
02:52She, like, comes in waves.
02:54That pain that exists is hard to remove.
02:57It's been tough.
02:59Really, this moment, you and me talking about it is healing.
03:03You talk to your sister a lot.
03:05Oh, yes.
03:06All the time.
03:07Yes.
03:07And I'm getting the house ready for the children to come on Sunday or Monday.
03:11You know, getting everything put together,
03:14and I haven't told them that I've sold the house.
03:18Hold on. Stop.
03:19I know.
03:20Stop it.
03:21I sold it.
03:21Yeah.
03:22You did.
03:22It's just a house without pop-up.
03:24Yeah, yeah.
03:24It's not a home anymore.
03:25Exactly.
03:26You have to close this chapter of this house.
03:29Yeah.
03:29He would want me to be in peace.
03:32Ultimately, I have to move into this, the future by myself,
03:35and so I need to have less things and more of me.
03:38I need to take a lot of that extra stuff off of me
03:41so I can do the things I need to do.
03:43As hard as it is, I've made the decision I'm going to move forward,
03:47then I'm going to have to go there and face it.
03:51Life happens, girl, so that's why we have to live every second.
03:56Like, it's the last one, and I needed to be with you.
04:00It might be.
04:01Oh, I'm on fire.
04:05Oh, I'm on fire.
04:09Yeah, I'm on fire.
04:13Oh, oh, oh.
04:15I'm so delightful.
04:17Who goes there?
04:21Me.
04:22Grandma.
04:24Well, hello there.
04:27Oh, my word.
04:28Oh, my word.
04:30So nice to see you, girl.
04:32So good to see you, too.
04:34You look beautiful.
04:36And you, too.
04:36You look so gorgeous.
04:38Hi, Mommy.
04:39Hi, sweetie.
04:40How are you, darling?
04:43I'm so excited for my mom and my grandmother to be here.
04:46I have a big surprise for them.
04:48I'm surprising Mommy and Grandma
04:50and bringing them to New York.
04:51I'm going to show them what they look like in the book
04:54for the first time.
04:55Grandma's going to...
04:57She's going to freak.
04:58I wrote this children's book
05:00that features my mother and my grandmother.
05:03They have been such big inspirations
05:05for who I am as a woman
05:08and now they get to see it themselves.
05:11I'm so happy you guys could make the time to come.
05:14Oh, my goodness.
05:15Oh.
05:16I'm so proud of you.
05:18Yes.
05:18Aw, thank you.
05:18I have to tell you, I love you, boo.
05:20So, so proud.
05:21And you are just a beautiful rose.
05:25Aw, thank you.
05:26Yes.
05:27Yes.
05:28I get it from you.
05:30And you.
05:31Definitely.
05:32The gene pool.
05:32You do.
05:33From both of us, for sure.
05:34Thank you, kindly.
05:35Definitely.
05:36Okay, so are you guys excited for today?
05:38I have some surprises.
05:40Well, I've been asking.
05:42I've been fishing around to see if I could get the surprise.
05:45You love to fish for a surprise.
05:47And nobody, nobody tells me.
05:50My mom and my grandmother instilled really amazing values in me.
05:53They gave me confidence.
05:55I was told that I was beautiful as a child.
05:58I only forgot when I was told I wasn't.
06:00And I want kids to know and hold on to how beautiful they are
06:06and all the things that make us human outside of our skin.
06:10I am excited.
06:11We're going to go around New York, have a little bit of an adventure.
06:15The family you're born into is what makes you the person that you are.
06:19All right, here we go.
06:21On an adventure.
06:30Hello.
06:32Hi.
06:33Janie, is that you?
06:34Yes.
06:35Do you need some water, coffee, anything?
06:38Yes, coffee, please.
06:39Okay, let me make you one.
06:40It is so quiet in here.
06:42I know.
06:43Finally, right?
06:46Okay.
06:47I was thinking we can talk about our pitch and, like, how we want to lay it out.
06:51Yeah.
06:52After, like, the ULA panel, I am talking to some folks who we feel like are industry insiders.
06:58It's been exciting but also grueling to have some no's, but we've gotten some yeses.
07:04The deadline for the first close is imminent.
07:07We're trying to raise about 15% of $40 million.
07:13Unfortunately, like, we're falling short.
07:15The clock is ticking.
07:16Like, the whole point is to close the gap on reaching our goal.
07:19I am excited about the breakfast.
07:20I feel like we've just gotten so much better at doing these.
07:24Yeah.
07:24We are going to be hosting this breakfast at my home to tell them all about Contour Capital.
07:29We're targeting the same people who invest in women's health in the maternal health space.
07:34So this is really synergistic.
07:35It's lived experiences.
07:36It's storytelling.
07:38It's community.
07:40And for a limited time only, we are allowing people to write smaller checks.
07:45It'll add momentum and fuel to the fire.
07:49So they will be, like, more inclined, I think, to back me.
07:52Should I go into my pitch?
07:53Yeah.
07:54Let's do it.
07:55Okay.
07:57Welcome, everybody.
07:58We're so excited.
07:59Oh, you're really starting at welcome.
08:00Well, like, what am I?
08:01I'm not, like, I mean...
08:02That's great.
08:03That's great.
08:03Okay.
08:04Welcome, Hannah Bronfman.
08:06Well, you already know my name, so I guess I don't need to say that.
08:09Um, but, like...
08:10Well, maybe you should say your name.
08:12It's a little hot in here.
08:13I'm sweating.
08:14I'm Hannah Bronfman.
08:16I come from a business-oriented family, and I am a fourth-generation entrepreneur.
08:21A question I get asked a lot is why am I raising an institutional fund when I could just continue
08:26investing as an angel?
08:28Yes.
08:29One thing I would consider, there are going to be some family office folks here, but there
08:32will also be individuals.
08:34So sometimes, just even layman's terms of why am I raising outside capital?
08:39Okay.
08:39And, like, you've been noodling with starting a fund.
08:43And, like, maybe add something a little more personal in there.
08:46Okay.
08:46Because also thinking about the people who are in the room might connect with...
08:49Yeah.
08:49Yeah.
08:49...this concept of wanting to do something.
08:52Yeah, like, why?
08:53Like, why?
08:54Everything's always better in person.
08:56And, like, bringing people into your home to create, like, an intimate setting, I think,
09:00is really, really important, and one that allows you to lean into your community.
09:05Okay.
09:06So we've gone through everything in the run of show.
09:09But outside of that, I want to see what you're wearing.
09:12Okay.
09:13Why don't we go upstairs, and I'll show you some options I was thinking about.
09:16Now you see me, now you don't.
09:19I like to play with fire.
09:22You're not getting off the hook.
09:25Watch me show you how.
09:28Matches gasoline.
09:30I did a bad thing.
09:31I'mma burn it all down.
09:33Hi, Shuraguitis.
09:35Oh, you're welcome.
09:37Me encanta.
09:38That's my house again.
09:40Hello.
09:41How are you?
09:42I have the whole world ready for you.
09:44Hey, girls.
09:46Oh, no.
09:48Oh, no.
09:48Hello, girl.
09:49It's been busy.
09:50I've been building in the U.S. apparel, home, jewelry, beauty, makeup, fashion.
09:58Oh, my God!
10:01The world of Taliyah.
10:02That is insane!
10:04This is perfect.
10:06The line looks amazing.
10:08Let's sell the Taliyah Sodi collection.
10:10Oh, yes.
10:12I need this.
10:13So this is your showroom with all of your jewels in here.
10:17Oh, my goodness.
10:18You know, everything at retail right now is blowing out.
10:21You're one of the top brands that we have.
10:22So this is a production line where we'll be running a skincare item.
10:28I love it.
10:29Everything has come together so fast.
10:33But it's been so worth it to put my creativity out into the world again.
10:38How are you?
10:39How are you?
10:40How are you?
10:41How are you?
10:41How are your Christmas spirit, kids?
10:43How are you?
10:44Your first Christmas album?
10:45Your first Christmas album.
10:47Yes.
10:48It's happening.
10:48It's going to happen.
10:49Okay.
10:49We're talking Christmas first and then the singles after.
10:52We're talking everything that's happening in the next three months.
10:54Yes.
10:55Okay.
10:56What made you decide to do a Christmas album?
10:58It came out of nowhere.
11:00I was just thinking about my sister and my mother and I got nostalgic and I thought about Christmas for
11:08some reason.
11:08This isn't just any album.
11:11This is a tribute to my family, to my traditions and to those memories that we build around the holidays.
11:19That's how the album came to life.
11:21I was in the studio writing songs and then I told the guys, guys, could we write something Christmasy? I
11:26feel melancolic or something.
11:27Yes. And we wrote the whole thing.
11:30The whole thing.
11:31Oh, by the way, the title of the album, to me, makes a lot of sense.
11:35It's going to be Navidad Melancólica.
11:38Why did you give me a melancolic?
11:41Why did you give me a melancolic?
11:41Why did you give me a melancolic?
11:42Yes.
11:43It's what I want.
11:44It's what I want.
11:46Okay.
11:46Because, whether or not, there are a lot of people who spend it alone.
11:51There are many people who left their countries, left their families, their culture, their Christmas stories.
11:57So I think that the melancolic plays with nice memories.
12:02It all depends on how we plan it.
12:04Yeah.
12:05So let's plan it in a positive, melancolic way.
12:08You're not alone.
12:10We are all together in this.
12:12This idea for a melancolic Christmas might sound crazy, but I'm committed to my vision.
12:18I've already finished the vocals for Nueva Navidad.
12:23Y esta Nueva Navidad, cuanto te voy a extrañar.
12:29Which is the most important song of the album, at least for me.
12:34Because a Christmas album, you have to start prepping it like months before Christmas.
12:40Promotion is going to be key.
12:42So we're going to have official videos.
12:44That way every single track is going to have a visual component.
12:48Yeah.
12:48And we have to release the TikTok sounds.
12:50We have to start with a full promotion.
12:52Okay.
12:52Because we have to make a lot of noise.
12:54So the first thing that's happening, lighting billboards.
12:57That's a good platform to say, by the way, I have an album coming.
13:01It's perfect.
13:02The eyes are going to be there.
13:03Perfection.
13:04I love that.
13:04But then we also have the opportunity for...
13:07Yes.
13:07So you saw yourself in Rockefeller, Christmas in Rockefeller, and we're trying to make it happen.
13:11Yeah.
13:12We are really excited about it.
13:14Christmas came early this year.
13:16That's going to be perfect.
13:16Oh, it's going to happen.
13:17I don't see why not.
13:18We're manifesting it.
13:18Oh, yeah.
13:19Yes.
13:20There's pressure.
13:21We have a very short time to do pictures, get a wardrobe, film videos.
13:26But hopefully everything will culminate in a performance at the Rockefeller Center.
13:33That is as big as it gets.
13:35Thank you for, you know, once again jumping with me into this crazy boat and into this adventure.
13:43Check your stress level.
13:44Girl!
13:47VAMONOS!
13:50I'M FINALLY FEELING GOOD
13:55I bet you wish you could
13:58Come down, put my ass in shoes down
14:02Give me a clue.
14:04Welcome.
14:05Hello, everybody.
14:06Hi.
14:08Hello.
14:09How are you?
14:09How are you?
14:10This is Miss Princess Brown, and this is Miss Lisa Brown.
14:15Oh, my goodness. Hello.
14:16How are you?
14:17Walking into Penguin with my mom and my grandmother by my side.
14:21This is another thing that I get to add to my resume.
14:25I am a model, I'm a business owner,
14:29and now I'm an authoress.
14:32Okay, are we ready to reveal the surprise?
14:35Oh, my goodness.
14:36Do you have any idea of what's going on now or still no?
14:39A book.
14:40Daphne, she's always talked about a book.
14:42Okay, there we go. It's coming to light.
14:44Detective work.
14:45You want to sit down?
14:46You don't even want to sit down.
14:48She's too excited.
14:49Yeah, she's looking at all the pictures.
14:51Oh, my word.
14:53When was all this done?
14:54Wow.
14:56And do you remember you still have the...
14:58Leopard print, of course.
15:00Yes, yes.
15:02That's exactly where she got it from.
15:03That's where I get it from.
15:04Yes.
15:04Leopard print queen.
15:06So, you know this is Penguin Random House.
15:08We are, in fact, a publisher,
15:10the biggest publisher in the world.
15:12So, this is Winnie's debut picture book.
15:15So, I wanted to make a children's book
15:19because mommy bought me a lot of children's books
15:22when I was young, and I always loved to read.
15:26I realized, as an adult,
15:29those books that I would read about diversity as a child
15:32sometimes made children's differences
15:36the point of the story.
15:38And so, I wanted to make a book
15:39where the characters are all different,
15:41but that's the norm.
15:43Right.
15:43Rather than...
15:44Beautiful.
15:45...than being token.
15:46Mm-hmm.
15:47I remember being on the playground as a kid,
15:49and girls started running from me at recess,
15:51and I didn't understand why.
15:53And they said,
15:55our parents said to stay away from you
15:57because we might catch your skin.
15:59And that hurt as a child, you know?
16:01I feel like that was one of the first experiences
16:03when I really knew that I was different.
16:06So, I really hope that, through this book,
16:09kids feel seen, heard, and accepted.
16:13Okay, for both of you,
16:15here is the color art of the character.
16:20So, this was you.
16:21Grandma.
16:22Leopard print leggings.
16:23Yahoo!
16:26Okay.
16:28Okay, yeah.
16:29Oh, my gosh.
16:30She would bring them up.
16:31Like, that was actually so perfect.
16:33Look at your amazing jewelry.
16:34And your afro, back in the day.
16:37Yes!
16:37I love that.
16:38There it is.
16:39And there is Winnie, of course.
16:41There's Winnie with her.
16:42That looked just like her when she was young.
16:44Yeah, here, let me show you,
16:45so you can see closer.
16:46Right, I actually see it.
16:47Oh, my goodness.
16:49Gorgeous.
16:51Aww.
16:51It's so sweet.
16:53It makes me really happy to see my mom and grandmother
16:56see the influence that they've had on me
16:58through this children's book.
17:00We talk about them being incredible inspirations to me
17:04all the time, but having this physical thing
17:08that they can hold and they can cherish
17:10is such an incredible moment to share.
17:13This is just perfect.
17:15So beautiful.
17:16I can't wait to see the finishing product.
17:18Yeah.
17:19Yeah.
17:20How long would that take?
17:21A little bit longer.
17:23Now, see, if you know my mom,
17:26you're never really supposed to tell her anything
17:28until it's happening.
17:30I've just learned that.
17:31That's right.
17:33Because, well, I mean, not really bad for you guys,
17:36but for me, I'm going to hear it every week
17:37until the book comes out.
17:40So when's the book coming?
17:41How is it going?
17:41How is it going?
17:42How is it going?
17:44Yeah, but I'm excited for you guys to see it
17:47and hold it in your hands.
17:49Me, too.
17:49This is an encouragement for kids or anyone
17:56with, you know, any problems in their lives
17:59and they look at themselves and go,
18:01oh, I can't.
18:01Yes, you can.
18:03Absolutely.
18:04The Lord can take me home now.
18:07Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
18:10Okay, okay, okay, okay.
18:12No, no, no, no.
18:13No, no, no.
18:14No, Lord, she's just joking.
18:18Head up in the clouds, watch
18:23The sky fell down, flew too close to the sun
18:29Now where will we end up?
18:34Oh, Lord.
18:36All this can stay here, guys.
18:38Angel, the bridge needs to go to Bedford.
18:42Yeah, in the school room, she said.
18:43So I've accepted the offer.
18:46I've sold the house.
18:47I'm here, the final walk through.
18:49Making sure nothing was missed and it's heartbreaking.
18:52I sat down with Amber and I told her I was taking the offer
18:55and it didn't go well.
18:57She asked me to reconsider and I can't.
19:00Not because I don't love the house,
19:02but the house has hard memories of some of the happiest days of our lives.
19:06It's too hard for me.
19:07So much of our life was in this space.
19:11So much life is a home filled for children, filled for family.
19:18And I really thought that Jared and I had a lot of years
19:22that we would be able to spend here together.
19:25It's heartbreaking to walk by all the rooms
19:29and see everything we had here.
19:33And that this will be my last moments here.
19:37But as long as I live, this will be my house.
19:41He gave me the keys from this house
19:43on my birthday on November 21st, 2018.
19:48And he was so happy.
19:49And I spent three months with nobody coming in it,
19:52painting it, getting it ready, setting it up.
19:54And I remember he would walk down these long hallways
19:57and he'd say, wow, this house is amazing, isn't it?
19:59And you know, we have this amazing house in Miami,
20:01but nothing felt like this.
20:03It was like the yard was made for children.
20:07He used to let the kids ride their bikes through the hallways.
20:10It has a lot of great memories, this house.
20:12Jared loved this house.
20:14The journey has been not easy.
20:16It has been a rough road.
20:17It is not easy to let go of things you love.
20:21Never.
20:22But I'd come a long way.
20:25I know that I don't have to let go of J.R.
20:28And a home is just a thing.
20:30Even though it's a beautiful place where memories are made,
20:32there are other ones to be made.
20:35J.R. to know, like, when I leave here now,
20:40you're going to come with me.
20:42All of these things I'm doing are the steps
20:44that I need to take in order to move into the future.
20:47And I'm here.
20:48I'm ready for it.
20:49We should go.
20:50We may cry out, and we may scream as the rocks slide beneath our feet.
20:59I'm proud of who I've become.
21:01I have watched and gotten really in touch with myself in this journey.
21:06And I'm excited about the future and what I have to share.
21:09And you can never take Tara and I out of that house.
21:13We will always belong in that house together.
21:15And we have so many beautiful moments with the kids there
21:17that I will have that forever.
21:22It's time to go, J. Let's go, J.R.
21:28It's time to go.
21:49It's time to go.
21:50Are we here?
21:52It's good.
21:52Let's chill out and take a ride.
21:56Kyle's in season, but he has a little bit of time.
21:59So he was like, babe, I want to go to Turks and Caicos.
22:02Yeah.
22:03Thank you so much, darling.
22:05And have the best time with the man.
22:07My man, my man, my man.
22:09And so we'll go to Turks.
22:12I'm so excited.
22:13I'm so happy.
22:14Enjoy.
22:15All right, see you in the morning, Winnie.
22:17Give me a good life, give me a good life.
22:23Give me a good life, give me a good life.
22:29Every summer, take, take, take, take, take.
22:32Oh, you never break, break, break, break, break.
22:35Gonna keep it going, so give me a good life.
22:38You got a little, uh, tell me what happened.
22:41When we were on the plane, you know,
22:44I saw all the decorations and stuff.
22:45I just thought, like, oh my gosh, this is so cute.
22:49And then he sat down and he, like, wanted to read me this letter.
22:52At the end of that poem said, would you be my wife?
22:55I was floored.
23:02I bawled my eyes out so much that, like,
23:05I said yes before I seen the ring.
23:08Yes.
23:11He designed the ring for, like, seven months.
23:14I was so shocked.
23:16I was so taken aback.
23:17I didn't know our friends were going to be there.
23:21My mom, my dad, my sister.
23:30That was really thoughtful of him because he knows I'm so family oriented.
23:35And it was just a really magical moment.
23:40I felt surrounded by love.
23:43And he created that atmosphere.
23:45And I'm so grateful to my fiance.
24:05Okay, so this is happening.
24:07Everything's set up.
24:08It's happening.
24:08We have our remarks.
24:11How do you feel about it?
24:12I feel okay.
24:13I'm, like, not 100% on our, like, takeaways, but it's fine.
24:16Yes, we'll just keep going.
24:18Yeah.
24:18Because no one will know what you didn't say.
24:21You just keep going with confidence and people will just remember how you presented it.
24:25Totally.
24:25I'm already sweating, so.
24:27Yeah.
24:27I want so badly for this to be a success.
24:30I've put so much effort into this.
24:33And you don't get to tuck your kids in every night or read bedtime stories or give a bath.
24:43Yeah, 100%.
24:44We have a couple more of these that I feel like we should put places.
24:49I hope people are ready to back us, especially because this is the last chance to hit our first close,
24:56which is a really hard thing to do.
25:00Good morning.
25:01Come on in.
25:02We're really hoping that this breakfast will be a success.
25:07But if it doesn't close, it could be time to give up.
25:12So it's kind of hard to say where it's all going to play out right now.
25:16I'm Kerri-Ann.
25:17Nice to meet you.
25:18I met Kerri-Ann at the How Women Lead, How Women Best Breakfast.
25:23Which I heard was phenomenal.
25:24Last week.
25:25It's obviously, like, really nerve-wracking thinking that it's all, like, in the balance of other people's checks.
25:32We've got about two million left that we need to get.
25:35I'm hoping that I convey my story and my pitch in a way that feels really compelling.
25:40And they truly, like, believe in me.
25:42And I haven't really done that before.
25:45I know.
25:48Okay, we got this.
25:50We got this.
25:51Should we do it now?
25:52Yeah.
25:53Guys, we're gonna get started.
25:55So if you wanna, like, trickle in, take a seat.
25:59Thank you all so much for coming this morning.
26:01What a wonderful turnout.
26:03I'm Hannah Bronfman.
26:05I come from a business-oriented family and I am a fourth-generation entrepreneur.
26:09I am the GP of Contour Capital and I have my amazing principal, Jamie Woodard.
26:19Contour Capital is an early growth-stage venture firm investing in the future of health and
26:24well-being.
26:25Um, but really everything women's health from menstrual, mental, maternal, and menopause.
26:32I've invested in over 60 companies and with that I've had a lot of learnings and experience.
26:38And it's also really allowed me to find the gaps.
26:42You know, as a woman of color who spent a long time trying to have my own family, I recognized
26:49that there were so many gaps in the healthcare market.
26:52How are we gonna fix those situations, right?
26:54One is from the government side, which I'll save that conversation for another time.
26:59The other side of it is investing in the private market.
27:03Companies that are doing between $5 and $10 million in revenue, when they are going out
27:08to be supported by institutions, there really is a lack of funding there.
27:14We are the investors that are powering those overlooked companies.
27:18We are beyond strategic and angel investors at this point and this is where we will add the most value.
27:25We are raising a $40 million firm.
27:27We are very excited to, you know, give you guys this opportunity.
27:31I think for me it's always been about, like, this larger impact and purpose.
27:34And so we're trying to create positive health outcomes.
27:37Of course, understanding, you know, more of the issues around the patient care systems
27:41in our country and why they were so broken and why black women are dying
27:45at an exceptionally higher rate than their non-black counterparts.
27:49Like, all of these things are certainly the catalyst for wanting to put your money where your mouth is.
27:55So what is the minimum investment?
27:5850K right now.
28:00And normally our upsize is 250K.
28:09I'm going to write a $50,000 check.
28:11Thank you, Bobby.
28:13Thank you, Bobby.
28:15I'm also going to commit to your fund.
28:18Wow.
28:20I love it.
28:21Yes.
28:24Awesome.
28:24Oh, my God.
28:27This feels so good to get these commitments, like, in the moment.
28:31The energy is infectious.
28:33Oh, thank you.
28:35You did it.
28:36It was an awesome moment.
28:38Um, but yeah.
28:39Dude.
28:40Come on.
28:41I appreciate you.
28:42It's awesome.
28:43Do you have material?
28:45Of course.
28:46I'll send you everything.
28:47And you know what?
28:48It's going to take our community to just really get behind each other.
28:51Knowing that people believe what we're, you know, setting out to do,
28:56um, is just, like, an incredible feeling.
28:59I love it.
29:00Feeling, like, relieved.
29:02I feel like this was really, really good.
29:03Momentum and getting this, like, validation is everything.
29:06And what will hopefully be our first close officially.
29:10Okay.
29:10Great to see you, Trisha.
29:12Jamie, we did it.
29:13Oh, my gosh.
29:14I thought it went really well.
29:15I can't believe we just, like, literally got commitments in the room.
29:18I know.
29:18Okay.
29:19But no more events, still Q1.
29:21No.
29:21Can't do another event, please.
29:22Oh, my God.
29:23But it was great.
29:24It was great.
29:27You can live a life so fabulous.
29:30All day, all day, so fabulous.
29:32With the one you love, so fabulous.
29:34The answers are going down, guys.
29:36Let's open.
29:36Let's open.
29:37Let's see what's going on.
29:39I need to change.
29:40It's happening.
29:43I am going to perform my new Christmas song live at the Rockefeller Center.
29:52Take the size out.
29:54Mm-hmm.
29:55I'm just putting everything in.
29:57Okay, good.
29:57.
30:00These last few weeks have been super stressful getting everything ready.
30:06Wow.
30:08I love it.
30:09Last week, we shot the music video of Nueva Navidad.
30:12This song is the new way that I'm going to celebrate this season with all the people that
30:20I love.
30:21Thinking about those years that are way gone.
30:28I want everybody to know that no matter who you are or how lonely you feel, there are many of
30:35us out there.
30:36And guess what?
30:37We are going to go through it.
30:39The moment that I see myself, like, as the Thalia people expect to see, then I feel empowered and I
30:48feel like ready to conquer the world.
30:51Performing at Rockefeller has always been a dream.
30:55I've never done a performance like this in the U.S.
30:59Okay.
31:01There's something about the enormity of being in front of an American audience.
31:06Okay, ready?
31:08Okay.
31:08Knowing.
31:09So we have a little knowing.
31:10It's knowing.
31:11It's really cold.
31:13And the responsibility of honoring such a big tradition, life on TV, is insane.
31:26As the performance begins, I'm thinking about my sister, my mother, my family, and how far this journey has been
31:36taking me in my life.
31:48I've learned that pain doesn't disappear.
31:51You carry it with you.
31:53This music carry my pain.
31:56And this is a little ray of hope.
32:00Music heals.
32:02This experience reminded me why I started making music in the first place.
32:06To feel, to connect, and to heal.
32:10Tonight, I made a connection with a bigger audience.
32:23I hope what I do can inspire a little girl in her bedroom to accomplish all those beautiful dreams they
32:32have. Everything is possible.
32:34Me llena tanto de alegría y de felicidad poder hacer algo que me haga sentir viva.
32:41I face a big loss, doubt, and I'm still here. Stronger, clearer. I learned to be my own cheerleader.
32:50That's a lot.
32:50It takes ovaries every day.
32:53More grounded in who I am and what I stand for.
32:58Se siente paz, ¿verdad?
33:02Mi amor, qué bonito todo.
33:05And I know my best work is ahead of me.
33:09I am free. I am me. I know I wanna be moving closer to the edge of the beat.
33:16Okay.
33:18Imagine I just ran, boom, and smashed it in your face.
33:21What would happen?
33:23I'd say, oh.
33:25You'd say, oh, no.
33:26You want to get down again?
33:27Okay.
33:29That's a present for your mama.
33:31I'm ready to eat the green.
33:32I think that's a good job, right?
33:34You know what number this is?
33:35Look.
33:35What number's that?
33:36Three.
33:37And what number's that?
33:39Seven.
33:40Mama's 37.
33:42That's tall.
33:43That is tall.
33:44That's tall.
33:4537's tall.
33:46Papa's almost 45.
33:47He's so tall, right?
33:49Happy birthday!
33:52Hi!
33:53Can I have a big hug?
33:55Oh!
33:57Oh!
33:59After the breakfast, we had more people, you know, commit capital, and we have successfully
34:05accomplished our first close, which feels really surreal.
34:10We set out to do something, and we did it.
34:12It took us a lot longer than we expected, but it's really monumentous.
34:17It's, like, really, it's really real.
34:19I'm gonna eat that cake now!
34:21No!
34:22We gotta wait.
34:23We gotta light the candles first.
34:24I'm so grateful that I get to go home, fill my cup up with my kids, and, like, get some
34:31real quality time.
34:33Wow!
34:35This is so cool!
34:38Hey, miss!
34:40Hi!
34:41How are you?
34:42I'm good.
34:43How are you?
34:44Happy birthday!
34:47I know who I am.
34:49I do this for myself and for my family.
34:51I am so, you know, proud of what I've built.
34:55Happy birthday, dear mama!
34:58Happy birthday to you!
35:02Oh!
35:03Oh!
35:03Okay, should we eat?
35:04Okay.
35:06Whoa.
35:06Whoa, that's a big.
35:07That's a big slice.
35:08Can that be for me?
35:12Guys, this is so perfect.
35:13I'm so happy to be celebrating with you guys.
35:16Cheers.
35:19It's been, like, a little over a year that I've been working on the fund.
35:23This is clearly the hardest thing I've done throughout the last 15 years of my career.
35:28We just need people who truly believe in us as a team, believe in my unique position
35:34as a GP.
35:35It's more important now to keep investing in the private market within, like, the women's health sector.
35:39Ultimately, we need to have more control, more insight.
35:42That's not to say never.
35:45It just means no, not now.
35:46I just want to build something that's, like, bigger than just, like, me as a brand.
35:53I love you.
35:54Feel the fear and do it anyway.
35:57Yeah.
35:58For yourself.
35:59It's been, you know, one step forward, two steps back, and yet we hit our first close,
36:05which allows us to, you know, continue to push the envelope on industries that I think traditionally
36:12don't make room for people like us at the table.
36:16It, like, validates that, you know, the time spent away from my family is important and that it matters.
36:25What? That wasn't a good birthday?
36:27This was an amazing birthday.
36:29And you know what?
36:30Mama needs a night and...
36:31Well, we gotta go have...
36:32I told them we're ordering food and then we're just, like, ordering food here.
36:35And we're eating dinner here.
36:36We're not going out.
36:37No.
36:37And then we're going to bed.
36:38It feels like I'm even more in my path and I've learned to give myself grace.
36:44Like, you know, you go through seasons of being really busy and you go through seasons of,
36:48like, prioritizing, you know, quality family time.
36:51I feel it very much.
37:06Come on, vibes.
37:08Here you go.
37:08How we doing?
37:11It's a nice little golf outfit we got going on.
37:13You like?
37:14Yeah.
37:15Hey.
37:18I need some golf.
37:19We need some clubs.
37:20I need some clubs in here, babe.
37:23Official.
37:23Kyle and his mom started the Kuzma Family Foundation, as well as this golf tournament,
37:29which raises money for single mothers.
37:31It's been really amazing to be a part of the growth of the foundation.
37:35And not only is it really important to them to give back and for me to give back,
37:40but it's really close to both of our stories with us growing up with single mothers.
37:46Oh, shit!
37:48Hi, Mama.
37:50Ooh!
37:51Yeah, no pressure.
37:52No pressure.
37:53Yeah!
37:54Y'all got to pose.
37:54Get into it!
37:55Yeah, get into it!
37:57It's a wrap today, huh?
37:58Kyle and I have always been really close.
38:01But since the engagement, I feel like we have gotten so much closer because we have so much to prepare
38:06for in the future.
38:14How do you feel about today?
38:16I feel great.
38:17Such a good day.
38:18It's been a good day.
38:20Yeah, a lot of just relationships and friends, doing our thing, raising money.
38:26No, thank you.
38:27K-Skin also supported us and did a little thing.
38:33Thank you so much for that, for sure.
38:34Just even having you here goes a long way.
38:36It's great.
38:38I appreciate it.
38:39Yeah, of course.
38:40I'm so happy that I waited to have that experience of true love, my engagement, and being so excited about
38:49planning my wedding.
38:50Congratulations, my love.
38:55You guys did it!
38:58I have to pat myself on the back.
39:00Pat yourself on the back.
39:02Pat yourself on the back.
39:04That's incredible.
39:05Yeah, it's a dope feeling.
39:06Tap my back.
39:07Tap your back, too. Tap your back.
39:10Period.
39:11Well, now that I know you, you know, can put on an event, you gonna help out with the wedding
39:16planning or...?
39:17First of all, do we have a date yet?
39:21No.
39:22Okay.
39:22No date.
39:23Do we even have colors?
39:24Because, like, obviously your favorite color is pink.
39:26I'm so happy to be a fiancé right now, and we have our entire life to be married, so I'm
39:32not in a rush.
39:32It's also an important time for our family, like, as a unit, and I'm so open to hearing, like, everyone's
39:39ideas and how we can make it special for us as a family union.
39:44What about, uh, destinations?
39:46Greece.
39:47Greece.
39:48Bucket list.
39:49Is it?
39:49Yeah.
39:50Yeah.
39:50I mean, so is Italy, though, so...
39:51Well, we're open.
39:53Ha!
39:54We're open.
39:55And then you guys have kids, and, you know, hey, this is something your kids can...
39:58You want bad kids so bad.
40:00I do.
40:02I...
40:02I don't ask.
40:03I just...
40:03I just send baby names to you.
40:06Yeah, and me.
40:07There are clues.
40:07Over and over.
40:08There's clues.
40:08Yeah.
40:10So I gotta wait.
40:11I gotta be patient.
40:12Yeah.
40:12We got you.
40:13As soon as we get married, we're on it.
40:16We're on it.
40:16I got you.
40:17One of the values that Kyle and I both have is how important family is to us and being able
40:23to join those forces together and having our own family.
40:27I'm really excited to get on that pathway and journey, but I am nervous because planning a wedding, whew, it's
40:34another thing to add to the list of things to do.
40:36I'm so honored to be a part of a family that wants to make so much change.
40:43We're happy to have you.
40:46What'd he say?
40:47He said, we're happy to have you.
40:50I love you, though.
40:51Love you, too.
40:53Oh.
40:54I love you so much.
40:57Yeah.
41:02I'm so excited.
41:04We're really excited to have you.
41:05I cried when I got the call that Madame Tussauds wanted me to be in their wax museum.
41:12I'll be the first person with Budiligo to have a wax figure.
41:21You just crushed Super Bowl, baby.
41:24You were Super Bowl.
41:26Oh, my God.
41:26I don't even remember who played.
41:27That was epic.
41:29I didn't think it was gonna be like that.
41:30The Super Bowl was crazy.
41:33Like, Kendrick and his team called me, like, ten days before.
41:36When he explained it to me, I was like, uh, yeah, count me in.
41:40This was the last time I'll be able to do something like this, so yeah, for sure.
41:45Good luck.
41:46Mm-hmm.
41:46My Mrs. H home line for QVC is launching.
41:50Ugh.
41:50I'm starting to get a little anxious.
41:52There is a lot of pressure because you don't want to be the weak link.
41:56I want to make sure I can keep coming back, and if I fail, that might be the end of
42:02Mrs. H.
42:02I-I can't even think about that in my head.
42:06I've got to nail this.
42:10Wild pas de la style.
42:11Oh fürd God des!
42:16Is it?
42:18You know, you know I'm not givin' up.
42:22Cause i'm fine for what I'll materneal, or talk about your love.
42:29Not afraid of the fire on the flame on the ice above.
42:35Cause I am a warrior
42:41Yeah, yeah
42:43Oh, I am a warrior
