A disturbing incident has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh, where a hotel employee was allegedly caught on camera spitting on rotis before serving them to customers.

The incident occurred on Saturday night in the Rorawar police station area. Two six-second videos, reportedly recorded by a customer, surfaced on February 21, showing a hotel worker bending over rotis and allegedly spitting on them before placing them on the flame.

The hotel, identified as Sadab Chicken Darbar in the Shahjamal area, was immediately brought under scrutiny after the videos went viral. According to eyewitnesses, customers confronted the staff member, identified as Suhail, who initially denied the allegation. An argument followed, and police along with Food Department officials were informed.

Teams reached the spot, collected food samples for laboratory testing, and gathered statements from people present. Amid public outrage and demands for strict action, police arrested the accused and seized the hotel premises.

Circle Officer Kamlesh Kumar confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the employee. Samples have been sent for testing, and further investigation is underway.
