Uniformed Chaos in Ghaziabad: Drunk Cops Create Ruckus, Beat Youth With Belt — Suspended After Video Goes Viral

A shocking incident has emerged from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where two on-duty police constables created chaos in a busy market after consuming alcohol. The duo, identified as Constable Kapil Kumar and Constable Vineet Kumar, both posted in the police lines, were caught on camera drinking liquor, abusing locals, and assaulting a young man with a belt.

According to reports, the incident took place on Monday evening at Navyuvak Market under the Kotwali police station area. The constables reportedly consumed a full bottle of liquor at a government-owned beer shop, ordered biryani from a nearby canteen, and then began abusing people in the market while still in uniform.

Eyewitnesses recorded the entire episode, showing the constables drunk, misbehaving, and fighting among themselves. When the video reached senior officials, both officers were immediately suspended.

Sources revealed that the Kotwali police station staff initially tried to suppress the matter, but the video’s circulation on social media forced higher authorities to take action.

DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal confirmed the suspension, stating that a departmental inquiry is underway against both constables.
