00:00Hi, I'm Lester. I'm Ethan. And we are the founders of DodoDots.
00:04So DodoDots are the first fully coloured pimple patches in Malaysia and we expanded to the whole Southeast Asia
00:09and we only sell one thing. What is that?
00:12Pimple patches!
00:17So we started with RM15,000 as our capital. Until today we have become an 8-figure brand.
00:23So we still do the same thing.
00:25We don't over commit. We are very careful with how we manage our finances, how we don't over hire.
00:32The message that we always put out is love and kindness.
00:34We do a lot of things different from other companies. Like one of the things we did was a senior
00:38internship program.
00:39Our interns are above 50 years old.
00:41Because we wanted to like invite retirees back into the workforce, you know, join us, learn new things like film
00:46TikTok videos with us.
00:48And that has really really made a huge impact in not only Malaysia but Singapore, Indonesia, they picked up this
00:53story
00:54to encourage other companies to hire seniors because they still have a lot to contribute in the society.
01:00They still have a lot of energy to give to companies.
01:02One of the turning points for us was because when we entered TikTok and we post, a lot of people
01:08liked the story.
01:09They liked the energy. I remember we did this thing where we go to the concert.
01:14So we asked people, come and say hi to us and we will give you free fetches.
01:19And it became our thing. Like every single concert after that, you go and give out free fetches to everyone.
01:24For the biggest challenge in our business, I think it's being the first mover in the market or the industry.
01:30Because any fetches has always been like transparent and see through the conventional way of, you know, medical.
01:35But for us, we are actually fun. We are cute, you know.
01:39Creative.
01:40We make many designs. We even have cockroach designs.
01:42So we don't have any other competitor or, you know, brand that we could model after.
01:48We have no mentor. We have no connection.
01:51No money.
01:51No money to start out. We just did everything and we learn ourselves along the way.
01:55I think one of the things about digitalization, people always ask, where do I start? What do I do?
02:00There's just so many things in digital to look at, right?
02:04So it's very, very challenging and intimidating, especially if you really have a business going on.
02:09You don't have the time to figure out how to learn all these things.
02:12Solutions like impact-based can really, really help a lot of small businesses or aspiring entrepreneurs.
02:18Actually new founders who has never had the opportunity to grow or scale, eventually scale.
02:24Because, you know, digital is inevitable. We need to have it.
02:27The way to go moving forward.
02:29Yes.
