00:24i've got the the jet that my brothers fly which is or is flying in c-17 also a squadron

00:31on here also as well so um yeah he's busy he's flying around the world right now so of course
00:38it's it's nice to have a weekend of showing uh support uh for all the military that keeps us
00:43all free and safe at home yeah so his brother greg in the air force as eli mentioned we'll have

00:51feature on the two of them talking about their relationship through the years with each other
00:55as they pursue two different paths and he's a lieutenant colonel now greg so he's uh pretty
01:00darn successful in his own right eli of course a multi-time champion no slouch he's gonna have to
01:06deal with cooper webb here in a place where he has won seven of the last nine races in texas
01:11yeah his
01:12stats here are are incredible and and they'd be even better if you think about the one that got away
01:20when he had that gnarly crash was that maybe 2019 2020 2020 excuse me and uh yeah certain um certain
01:29stadiums and venues and tracks that these guys go to they have special feelings or at least i did for
01:35sure and a little extra motivation to go out there and feel a little bit better than normal all right
01:41well webb's gonna need it right now because he's been closing in in the standings but don't want to
01:46give tomac any more momentum and do not forget this guy chase sexton it has been a struggle the
01:51last couple of weeks only one podium this year still chasing it with this new team for him monster
01:56energy kawasaki but we know if they get it right he and they are capable of winning maybe it starts

02:09not a good start for sexton joy savachi and hunter lawrence battling for it um yeah it's the lead
02:16hunter snuck up in in the inside and um he was a little off in qualifying practice today so it's
02:22going to be interesting to see how he navigates this heat race tomac working savachi there oh he
02:29couldn't three in to the whoops it's about to get a fight back wow good run through for joey through
02:35the whoops right there contesting with eli but eli being on the inside he's able to make the move eli
02:40had a great uh final practice today um i was a little interested to see what was going on because
02:46he
02:46was way down the running order after the first practice but comes out oh remember when we talked to
02:54this inside line look at joey work that is the preferred line right there oh look at audible
02:59by eli going up the inside pushes joey out multiple lines here yeah battle tomac now re-securing second

03:13were talking about that first qualifying session for eli tomac i asked those questions of the team
03:18specifically his mechanic jay dungy and he said he just didn't link it together he just didn't put the
03:23pieces of the track together he asked for absolutely nothing out of the bike he said they made me one
03:28clicker change and that was it so eli was just taking accountability for that himself
03:33yeah eli just uh looking so comfortable we've been talking about it each race just it looks like he's
03:42been on this bike for five six years i mean he's so at home and i'll tell you what man
03:48this red bull
03:48ktm crew and ian harrison and roger de costa and and all the unsung heroes over there um working on
03:57these machines i mean they got it going on for sure yeah harris and the team manager talking a lot
04:02about
04:03how that the mood is lifted so much with these great results they've gotten this year that makes
04:07everyone work that much harder battle right now between the teammates march banks and the 36 and
04:13sexton and it looks like sexton gonna make a move let's see if march banks can fight back
04:17great run through the whoops for chase and uh and chase looked good earlier today as well and um i
04:25thinking man i feel like he's gonna have a good night looks comfortable on the bike here this weekend we
04:30know what he's capable of and it's really no surprise when he wins or when he's the fastest qualifier and
04:36he's just that good of a rider closing on plessinger here who's in fifth
04:43and sabacci yeah not letting tomac go yeah but sabacci i mean you think about the last three
04:49weeks i mean he has really done a fantastic job getting some great starts and i had a conversation
04:55with him during the week jason and he told me he just knows it's just so important uh of getting

05:01good start however he has had a little bit and has gotten some support from factory honda this week
05:08so okay he thought it was hopeful that it was going to help him in the performance maybe with some
05:14uh
05:15gearbox stuff so anyhow it looks as of right now from the eye test and how well he's right looks

05:21it's working well better for him that could make a difference for sure right a hundred percent all right
05:26well it's working because he is keeping the heat on tomac and they're catching now the leader lawrence
05:34about to have a battle for the lead here

05:45and here's why that lead shrunk for lawrence let's see here what oh yeah when he's going through the
05:52corner you watch his front end twitch just a little and as he did that he got off balance
05:58jumps off track big moment here the riders one and two in the championship and only one point between
06:05them and sabacci hanging right there if you go back to houston remember the same thing happened to
06:11hunter there when he's going around that left hand corner his front end got a little twitchy
06:16and he jumped off the track and at the end of the day that's really what cost him the overall
06:21win
06:21that's right crash back to seventh there one of the few big errors of the year for lawrence
06:27sabacci just won't let them go on the non-factory get some help but not the full stuff like
06:33hunter has on his honda and he's not going anywhere
06:37oh i mean these guys have done a great job at this quad lock honda team
06:41uh martin davalos a fantastic rider in his own right
06:46and you read konski team owner just doing so much doing a fantastic job and even since the
06:53inception of the team going back you think about anstey and how well he did aboard in the 250 class
07:00and now hunter looks to have reeled it back in just stretching it slightly over tomac
07:06great turnaround for hunter lawrence here compared to what he was riding like early today and i'm going
07:12to tell you jt it it really isn't a surprise if you consider how well he's done all season
07:18no it's really not and when you think about what does hunter do well it's execution and this track
07:24especially in the main event is going to come down to can you execute the main good line the fast

07:30each and every single lap you see how much time he put into eli tomac there in the whoops because
07:35eli made a mistake and hunter executed the whoops well so we're only in the heat races here the track
07:41for the main event is going to be brutally difficult to hit each and every lap so that's what it's
07:45going
07:45to be you hear that road racing term hit your marks nothing could be more true than the main event
07:50tonight yeah he's hitting them right now jt as he's trying to hold tomac at bay that a little mistake
07:58allows the three to get back in it now watch this to the whoops that's colt nichols on the 45
08:01that's how quickly the whoops can bite you jt was talking about how difficult they're going to be
08:07yeah thank goodness he didn't go into that other lane right here oh tomac didn't get the rhythm rc
08:11and now savanchi it's around him and it's a second amazing riding by the 17

08:44kenny said this track is slick it's edgy in the whoops and joey has that discipline to really baby
08:51that throttle savanchi has not won a heat race in this division since nashville 2019 that was his
08:59rookie season in the 450 class he's got hunter lawrence in sight but he's running out of time
09:04he's running out of time he's gonna have to turn it loose through the whoops and overall
09:08man this is going to be a great run

09:25behind tomac and everybody has a different look by the way with military appreciation race if you're
09:31wondering why there's not much red on those hondas man this could be huge for any one of these guys

09:42savachi in there fighting for positions you could really use him to your advantage or disadvantage
