00:00Right there, the emotion.
00:02Yeah, well, you can feel this, Hayden Deegan's dominance over the field.
00:06In Winanaheim 1 and pretty much after that, has taken everything.
00:09I mean, you talk about just what he's been able to accomplish in these four wins.
00:14I mean, five fast qualifiers, four heats.
00:17He's led 63 of 109 laps, and it's just not his four main event wins.
00:22It's all those small details that are adding to historic season for this young man.
00:29Well, I heard none other than you and Ryan Villopoto, a four-time champ of this series on your Title
00:3424 show this week.
00:35You said, yeah, he's right.
00:37You didn't have an ego in it.
00:39You're putting him up there with the all-timers.
00:40100%.
00:41I mean, again, whether it's people who's broken my records, Eli Tomek, love seeing him.
00:48He's the king of Daytona now.
00:49And I love watching history be made and these guys climbing up in the record books.
00:55I mean, we're watching greatness, and it's something that we can look back.
00:59And whether you like him or dislike him, it's something you can look back on and say, man, we watched
01:04that kid do this.
01:06It's special.
01:07And everybody has goals here.
01:08Aiden Shive, goals to make mains.
01:10He's made four this year.
01:11He only has seven for his career.
01:13So he's actually more than doubled his career main event total just this year alone.
01:18He won last week's last chance qualifier.
01:20So shout-out to the 137, who was not shy about telling us how ill he was last week when
01:28he won that last chance qualifier.
01:30Hopefully he feels better this time.
01:32And he had a good lap time in qualifying earlier in the B group.
01:36So you see he actually has the third gate pick for this heat race.
01:42Maybe the track is a little smoother for those guys early in the morning, but they're going to get a
01:46chance on the same track right now.
01:47I'd tell you about the third lap of that first heat race.
01:50The track was prime.
01:51Now the ruts are going to be a bit deeper.
01:54And definitely more ruts for sure.
01:56Here we go.
01:57It's that heat number two for the 250s, Deegan Moseman, and the rest.
02:02Here we go.
02:06And Deegan continues to have the stars dialed.
02:15And you've got Lux Turner making the move for second on Hunter Yoder, but Deegan pulling away.
02:24Lux Turner has been running up front here quite a bit this season.
02:27It's great to see him doing well.
02:29And this is thinking, his confidence probably growing and growing, knowing that he can come out here in these heat
02:36races and run up front early on.
02:38And you learn so much.
02:39So valuable to the process.
02:44Yoder is going to try to make the move on Turner here in the woods.
02:48Ooh, he was there, man.
02:50Going for it.
02:52I mean, absolutely sending it.
02:54He was able to get on the binders quick, though, and not make collision with Lux.
03:00And now a little mistake, Yoder.
03:02So Turner pulls away.
03:03I talked to Turner earlier this weekend.
03:05He said, yeah, last lap or two of the heat started tightening up a bit.
03:09He said the problem was he started slowing down because he had a big lead.
03:12And then it all starts to fall apart.
03:14He said he's going to learn from that.
03:15And Moseman's making moves here.
03:17Oh, look it.
03:18That was a really good corner that Yoder did.
03:22Be able to turn down early, pivot the bike.
03:25I like this tight section.
03:27Now they come over the finish line.
03:30Guys going to the inside-out side.
03:32His majority inside line was the favorite earlier today.
03:36So the SMX track crew massaging that section to develop two lines.
03:43So Moseman on the Monster Yamaha Star Racing machine around the Club of Max Yamaha of Yoder.
03:49Here's Deegan pulling away.
03:51Send it to Will.
03:53Thanks, Jason.
03:54A little bit due to that incredible start, yet another one.
03:57But we don't actually have to go back too far, only to the beginning of this season,
04:01to see inconsistent starts for Hayden Deegan.
04:04So what's the difference between you guys have been talking about him needing to put the pieces together?
04:08Well, Brian Deegan, Hayden's dad, told me that they were trying literally everything, lots of different techniques.
04:15They were watching film of good starters to try and find something that worked for him.
04:19And he pointed out how unique starting techniques are for different riders.
04:23Well, the beginning of the year, they used some taller blocks,
04:26but Brian described that as somewhat of a band-aid to get him through until they figured it out.
04:30And then a few weeks ago, they got to a technique that they said he settled into very quickly.
04:35It was kind of like a light bulb moment that went up.
04:37And ever since then, they have been incredibly consistent.
04:42Yeah, he certainly has.
04:44And you just think about the areas where he needed to improve.
04:47Uh-oh.
04:48We have some arguing on the racetrack.
04:51And they just need to pick their bikes up and get on with the show.
04:54They're losing valuable time.
04:58The V-Ray, Brandon Ray on the 388, and then the 260.
05:04Well, we actually have this.
05:06Oh, here we go.
05:10There.
05:12Textbook takeout move.
05:14Nico Cox, the rider out of Germany.
05:18Ray's not having it.
05:21I can understand Ray's frustration right there,
05:25but, you know, these types of moves are pulled like that in the heat races.
05:30When you're around, when you're flirting with that transfer position,
05:33and, you know, like Koch, the biggest thing is where he made a mistake
05:36is if you're going to make a move like that,
05:39rule number one, you don't take yourself out while doing it, so.
05:43Because at the very least, you're going to get yelled at while you're standing there.
05:46Oh, look at this battle right here.
05:48Most of it with Lux Turner.
05:50Turner on the Toyota Redlands Bar X Yamaha.
05:54Turner came into the year with a wrist injury,
05:56was dominating Australia's Supercross Championship.
05:59They got injured, lost that title.
06:02Whoa!
06:04And Moseman, they tagged, and Moseman's going to lose a spot to Yoder.
06:08Yoder might get both.
06:09Yeah, saw that coming from a mile away.
06:11I think Moseman wasn't anticipating Lux to cut across the run like that,
06:16but that's an easy race move.
06:18Yoder did get at them both now.
06:20He does.
06:20Right up the inside, but Lux is on the inside.
06:22He's going to make the move past Yoder.
06:26Oh, Yoder's racing him hard.
06:28Look at Moseman, though.
06:29Double pass of Moseman.
06:32Shoot, this looks like a Daytona 500 tomorrow.
06:34They're three wide.
06:36Side by side in the big corners.
06:38It's been great racing.
06:39Another attempt by Moseman.
06:43Knotted up.
06:45And here's another shot from the 23.
06:48It's being nice about it, though.
06:50Yeah, he certainly was.
06:51He could have made contact with Yoder there, but not his style.
06:56Plays it smart.
06:59Knows that he has the speed to beat Yoder.
07:01Probably going to wait for this pass to develop naturally.
07:06A little further back here, maybe.
07:08Yeah, this could be in the whoops.
07:11Looks like he got it.
07:12Great, great pass right here.
07:14Just able to carry a little more speed into the whoops.
07:17Yoder not backing down, though.
07:21This bottom box, R.C., is the battle for the final transfer.
07:25Lights out Logan Leitzel on the green.
07:27Kawasaki, he is in that final spot.
07:30Aura is trying to catch him.
07:32Saw you, what you did there.
07:33Lights out Logan Leitzel.
07:35Yeah, yeah, yeah.
07:36I got some tips with some friends on.
07:38I can't credit myself with all this.
07:40Hunter Schlosser is right in front of him.
07:42Time running out.
07:44See if lights up and hold on.
07:45Looking at timing and scoring, just go back to what Levi Kitchen was able to do.
07:51Basically turned to 49, 9, I believe, and Hayden Deegan had a 50.3.
07:57Now, part of that is because of the track conditions, like we touched on before these guys, before the gate
08:03dropped.
08:03So, to be expected, the track to naturally slow down because of these ruts, like you guys are seeing here.
08:11Oh, Yoder, whoa.
08:14Oh, wow.
08:15They are brought up.
08:15Wow, Yoder into Moseman.
08:17He had caught back up and then, well, we mentioned how gentlemanly they had been racing.
08:22Now, how many positions will they lose?
08:25Yeah, it's a little frustrating, I bet, for Michael Moseman and for Yoder himself.
08:31I think Yoder could probably play it a little bit cooler there.
08:34Maybe not make contact just for one position.
08:41Wow.
08:42I did not expect that.
08:43I thought that battle had settled down a bit.
08:45Yeah, honestly, I wasn't either, and here you go.
08:48Just great camo work.
08:49Goes up the inside, crosses over all the ruts, makes collision.
08:55Front wheel of Moseman getting caught up into Yoder's foot peg there.
09:01Then they go down.
09:06Hey, Yoder was catching back up.
09:08I mean, I guess he's going for it.
09:09He was, he was definitely catching back up, but.
09:14Would you say it was someone you would advise?
09:15I think it was, yeah, it wasn't the best decision.
09:17Okay.
09:18This is a good decision.
09:19Get the hole shot and go.
09:21Heat race win.
09:22Hayden Deegan in Seattle.
09:24Heat race number two.
09:27Yeah, not that type of, not that type of move for the position they were in.
09:32Yeah.
09:32They were making it to the main event, and it was only for, you know, one gate position.
09:36Not going to make a crucial change in what that would look like.
09:41How about this guy, though, man?
09:43Yeah.
09:43Fantastic.
09:44The last few weeks, been put in solid rides in these heat races, and the main as well.
09:49And what I noticed about that, that finish, is how he was able to run up front for longer.
