03:27well and they're working on Flessinger and Malcolm's right back on it and Webb is right back on rocks into
03:37the bottom box for the lead that right hander very difficult corner it's dry slick and a right hander
03:46normally right handers are harder to turn on because you want to use that rear brake as a clutch sometimes
03:54and help you get around those corners so you really have to use the lean on the mechanics of the

04:00corners like that Sexton working his way now into the top 10 challenging Ferrandez Will
04:09Jason he did get a good start but he's doing a good job working through the pack now and I

04:13want to give you guys an update on where they're actually well documented his journey so far with
04:18Monster Energy Kawasaki and their struggles with the bike well I was told Malcolm fights back for
04:24that position I was told today that they win Florida testing this week and they feel that they've
04:30identified this one component in the bike peeling back the layers is how it was described to me as far

04:35testing goes revealing this component that they said has really been kind of holding Chase back
04:40from the comfort that he's been looking for all season they said that they've identified it that is
04:45very different from instantly fixing it they said they will continue to work on that kind of like
04:5050 percent there they said they told me and they are going back testing again the um uh Theo
04:57Lockwood who works over there as the um as the crew chief he has stayed out here he's gonna go

05:03Florida he won't get to go home this week the message guys they are working incredibly hard and
05:08we might have to see them now closer to the end result than we have ever seen them before

05:20change-up but Savace crashing and there's the move from Sexton on Ferrandez so he just picked up two
05:25spots Ferrandez racing him really hard right now and that really slowed down the progress of the four

05:36trying to contend that position but I think if um yeah look at that the four is starting to pull
05:41away here the bottom of your screen Coop doing a great job keeping Kenny honest right here and
05:49then Hunter Lawrence the red plate holder is there could this be the weekend man and what a way it

05:57be to win your first premier class win in Supercross and pass these two guys yeah last year's champion
06:04and the master of the race oh mistake by Webb and there goes Hunter right by him for second
06:11so what happened there is Cooper went to exit that corner in the inside of the rut he got cross

06:19wasn't able to jump onto that tabletop boom hunter makes the move and it is on
06:26you're not kidding I mean you've got between Lawrence and Webb two of the toughest guys late in the race

06:33they got to deal with Roxton persevering right now and towbacks close to hunter lost forward drive going
06:40through the whoops right there in the front started to pitch forward he was able to save it
06:46oh this is going to be such a great race man oh Webb's fired up yeah oh it's fired up

06:52Eli right there in tow lurking look at Hunter the challenge on Roxton can he get a wheel he's

10:21to get into some lappers here this guy's the best in the business at timing their passes on the lappers
10:30this track is really starting to go away you can see these guys changing up their lines in the
10:35corners the runs are getting deeper in the corners as well
10:43uh march banks this is a guy down look at eli jumping through the roof wow
10:49rarely rarely do you see that yes hunter right back up to roxson now now here's what's interesting
10:55these four 112 career main event wins between three of them hunter still looking for his first
11:03some of the best to ever do at roxson webb and tomac but hunter has proven himself
11:09often it has felt like a matter of when not if he's going to get that win it could be
11:13tonight easier
11:14said than done for hunter but he has got to get out of his comfort zone and get by kenny
11:21if he can do that
11:22just for one split second he'll win this race but if he's going to do it it's got to happen
11:28sooner than later
11:29and again he's going to have to get uncomfortable if he wants to make the move anytime soon march
11:35banks in the mechanics area now after that crash in the whoops and as hunter continues to try to figure
11:42out how to get the lead you start thinking about that arlington magic for the number one cooper webb who
11:48has been in his position so many times and pulled this one out back to will hey ricky i was

11:55thinking about what you just said about hunter needing to get out of his comfort zone a conversation
11:59with him earlier talking about what happened with ken roxson and taking them both down there when he was
12:04attempting that pass on him he said it's a balance out there when he's racing you know he's asked to
12:10have more intensity i need to have more intensity in my right he's like and then you do it and

12:14then sometimes he's racing incidents happen so how tough a balance is that the patience the intensity
12:19knowing when to do it as he said it again yeah i mean i mean yeah that's that's the hardest

12:25the balance of knowing when to push and what you're comfortable with and only he can make that decision
12:30again it's easy for us to say what he needs to do it's a lot different when you're that rider
12:35on that
12:36motorcycle in charge of the throttle so and i appreciate him i listen he doesn't rarely ride out of his
12:43zone got a shot out of here here rocks it on the outside over the top of the tables still
12:50holds on
12:51not going to be enough and man this could be so frustrating when you're in this position jason i'm
12:58going to go ahead and tell you right now when you know if you could just get by and get
13:02some clean air
13:02and be off to the races but a guy like kenny is so good at defending the position and blocking
13:09and how fast
13:11he is into the whoops again clearing more lap traffic no problem they put a little time into tomac now
13:20just a bit but it is ebb and flow here
13:28and he like it's right back to webb he got held up by lap traffic a mistake by hunter
13:32webb now going for second here's webb on the inside he's got it right here
13:41oh who wants it more and hunter holds him off spoke too soon that was a great job by hunter
13:47lawrence to keep the momentum up hoops making that inside line work really well the reason he is he's
13:53able to come to the inside jump all the way over the second table top and then triple that is

13:59this is where he under hunter needs to go for it here it is wheel to wheel 10 rocks and
14:03still triple
14:04he's got to go in the woods lapper i got held up by jordan smith and rocks and holds on
14:10again
14:13time ticking away and rocks and still leaves
14:16oh yeah man it's uh how hard is it hunter it's good at staying cool but it's got to get
14:23more and
14:23more difficult with each situation it's just time he's gonna run it again around the outside but he's
14:29on the outside here not where you want to be oh look how close those tires were to touching he's
14:38got to go
14:40and he's gonna take him wide right here though no oh a little bit of contact hunter triples out and
14:48finally has the lead he's gone look at kenny misses the rhythm lane he's probably gonna get no
14:53they pulled away from cooper webb and eli tomac anderson is down in the whoops right there you can
14:58see him picking the bike up now look at the gap that hunter has pulled away we just this could
15:04possibly
15:04be it if he is able to get in some good laps right now get some breathing room and it
15:12is on you know
15:13that he does some of his best work at the end of the race wow what a win that this
15:20could be
15:21and he hasn't had a good day no it was a struggling qualifying and he comes back and wins the
15:27heat
15:27and he has had to hold off and pass some tough customers and he's getting away now i mean here's
15:33webb and tomac they have not been able to do anything with him and now they're battling each
15:37other and roxon as hunter pulls away remember i told you it's like man if he could get by kenny

15:45would be gone and look at the gap that he's established in just one lap and eli all over goop

15:54man this track is beat up it's slick
16:00webb up the inside on roxon i i don't think that cooper's going to wait quite as long to get

16:06kenny as maybe the 94 did
16:14what direction will it go webb he's got to play offense and defense tomac all over him
16:21roxon right in front still four minutes and a lap to go between these titans there's the move from webb
16:28he ain't wasted any time and then he takes it kenny wide and that allows eli to get by him

16:34two for one eli gets aggressive rc and he punts webb off the track and roxon goes by webb as

16:41yeah i don't even think that he made contact right there and man eli has got the eye of the
16:47tiger right
16:48now and this race is not over this is like one of those old races we used to see from
16:54eli tomac
16:55five six years ago and he could make up so much ground three minutes 30 seconds plus one lap
17:02there's the web there's the pass by cooper webb by the 94 and then watch eli tomac
17:09he goes up crosses the ruts oh maybe they touch boots puts cooper webb off the track
17:18into the second position that's about as clean as it could be for as aggressive as it was for tomac
17:23but
17:24it is really hurt webb who's been shuffled back to fourth i also want to note i think the red
17:29cross
17:29flag was just being pulled in as those three came over the finish line jump the previous lap
17:35we're about to look at that one or not as hunter lawrence has put two seconds in is there a

17:42charge in route from tomac or is tonight the night for the 96 as webb and roxon who battled so

17:49times in this building are doing it again and webb invents a new line through the middle to get him
17:56yeah webb's had enough now look at the ground he's got to try to make up on eli

18:44malcolm stewart had a great battle going with sexton the whole race he has gone down he's still
18:50circulating whoa the 96 of hunter lawrence getting crossed up on that off ramp cutting back across the
18:59first corner nice save a lot of ruts there a lot of guys been getting sideways hey he stretched it
19:05back out on tomac he did only by two tenths but uh man they're gonna have about three more laps

19:12go if he can keep this gap eli makes a little mistake there he can keep this gap at bay
19:17for
19:18another lap and a half i think he's got it and doing it the hard way as hunter lawrence has
19:25always done
19:27hidden hole shot check out had to fend off webb and tomac while trying to take the lead from roxon

19:38you think about all these second places and just how cool that honda hrc and the lawrence camp and
19:46we talked to johnny o'meara they knew that eventually a win would come listen he's got
19:51two more laps to go yet but eventually you keep knocking out the seconds this day would come and
19:57he is in a prime spot again if he can just hold on and the patience will certainly prevail
20:05and it's about even on lap times the last two times around tomac in fact lost round in that last
20:12sector
20:13yeah well he lost uh another three tenths so as long as no lappers play a part here late in
20:22this race
20:25it's going to be hunter's race man look at those see this is where he made the mistake earlier you

20:32see how ruddy it was coming off of that tabletop there's the blue flags waving and meaning there's
20:38a race for the lead and you are not in it it'll be white flag next time around hunter lawrence
20:45points leader already so many questions about when will that first win come although i honestly feel
20:50like that was outside noise i don't think he was worried you ride like this it's going to happen
20:55and now he's one lap away one lap away we each this is going to be something else
21:01jt you talked about it he got his first win here several years ago in the 250s yeah
21:09and it could be again a first for hunter there were a lot of doubts about his supercross skills
21:16when he came over from australia and then through europe and man has this guy worked and worked and
21:22worked on it to beat the best in the premier class of supercross and he's a third of a lap
21:29away a
21:30straight up win there was no gimmies here whatsoever he earned this win right here one more clean pass
21:37through the whoops and he's got it and the crowd salutes it hunter lawrence's long journey
21:45in supercross now has a win hunter on top at ollington
22:10you think about this guy contemplating quitting yeah yeah and look at here you want to talk about
22:19resilience sticking with it sticking to your roots what you do the game plan
22:25let that win come to you i know what that playbook is i've worked with johnny oh my whole life
22:31and that whole team and they got it done he was consistent early on but he rose up tonight he
22:40earned that
22:53first win
22:57there's the honda folks all the way back there on the left and the national sales manager for honda bill
23:01savino there's of course the team manager large lindstrom a lot of the honda brass what a ride man
23:09chad reed hooking it up fellow australian
23:15and of course his mechanic camera camera there on the left there's truck driver truckie as they call
23:20him on the right oh man look at the emotions so cool and wow
23:27you got to be stoked for him you know just think about how close he was and just yeah being
23:32so consistent
23:34and i just and the quality of this win and how he won was impressive on a very difficult racetrack
23:41it's symbolic man this guy nothing has been given it has been all earned and he had to earn it

23:47it was not on a platter no he had to go and take it that was and make it happen
23:53a quality win
23:55he passed three times supercross champ cooperweb he passed in arlington in arlington yes hold off eli

24:10lead before he had the win where are we headed now that he's got that first victory hunter lawrence
