00:00I think you fans recognize, and I can't poke a hole in the argument, that the Eagles are broke right now.
00:06And the debate that I think is fun to have for Philadelphians right now is what's the most broke?
00:13All right?
00:15Because A.J. Brown is the first guy that comes to mind, and him being a cancer in the clubhouse, that's choice one, okay?
00:22Choice number two for some of you, not me, because I'm the biggest supporter of the quarterback, Jalen Hurts is the problem.
00:28All of a sudden, Jalen Hurts can't execute the Kevin Petula offense.
00:32I think that's crazy town, but it is a talking point in Philadelphia right now.
00:38Point number three is Saquon Barkley got high on the hog last year, and he's a shell of himself.
00:44And if Saquon Barkley was a great running back, the Eagles wouldn't have any offensive problems.
00:49And the last one, and the one that I'm going to dive into with you, is the reality that a lot of teams face.
00:55And to be fair, the Kansas City Chiefs faced it in the Super Bowl last year against the Eagles, and in the Super Bowl against Tampa, when Brady won his last one.
01:05And what I'm alluding to there is the offensive line.
01:08Yeah.
01:08Now, for the last five years, I think it's about fair, it was not arguable who had the best offensive line in football.
01:15The answer was every single year.
01:17Philadelphia Eagles.
01:18And it wasn't close.
01:19It wasn't close.
01:19They had the most dominant offensive line, really starting with Lane Johnson at right tackle, Kelsey at center, and on and on, okay?
01:28Yep.
01:29Even when they brought Mekhi Becton in.
01:31He was excellent.
01:31Great right side of the line.
01:32He was great at right guard, right?
01:33He was excellent.
01:33Yep.
01:34So, all of a sudden, while a lot of people are poking their fingers at Jalen Hurts, which I think is comical at best,
01:40people are now suggesting that it's Kevin Petula.
01:43My hand's raised on that.
01:44You know, there's a difference between the Kellen Moore offense and the Petula offense.
01:49And I think we have to look into, do we have the right guy calling plays?
01:52You know, that's something that it looks like they're not going to change.
01:55And maybe it's even too late to change it.
01:57I think it is.
01:57With four or five weeks to go in the season, right?
02:00So, I go back to the offensive line.
02:02Because Saquon Barkley's not hurt.
02:04Saquon Barkley will be the first to tell you, I'm good to go.
02:07I'm healthy.
02:08He's healthy.
02:08Now, he only had 10 carries last week.
02:10So, that, to me, is an offensive game plan situation, which we can delve into.
02:15But here's the reality of the Eagles.
02:17And it's the reality that the Chiefs faced in two of their Super Bowl losses.
02:22You essentially are only as good as your offensive line.
02:27And that's why the more I think about how these teams get built, I would draft every single draft pick I had as an offensive line until I got it right.
02:36Because a great offensive line can make an average quarterback good.
02:42Can make a good quarterback great.
02:43Can make a great quarterback a Hall of Famer.
02:46A great offensive line can do the same thing for running backs, right?
02:50Yep.
02:50All right.
02:50So, do we really think that Saquon Barkley has lost the step?
02:55I don't.
02:56Do we really think that Jalen Hurts is not the guy we saw in the Super Bowl last year?
03:03I think he's just as good.
03:05But the one part of the Eagles that can't be argued that is not as good is the offensive line.
03:12Why?
03:13Well, I don't know.
03:15Because last week, four of your five starters were banged up and three of them didn't play.
