00:27Tell us more, how is your region engaging with DETEC? There is a very big stand behind us.
00:32Well, like most regional authorities, we support the ecosystem, we offer networking solutions
00:40to our start-ups. But the specificity for two or three years is to help our start-ups to
00:50grow, accelerate the development, and make sure that the numerous of them can reach the
01:01unicorn level. We have Ledger, which is a wonderful example, which is based strangely enough in
01:11Vierzon, the European leader in blockchain technology. And our priority, most of our financial support
01:19and most of the activity of the French tech Loire Vallée community is to scale up and accelerate
01:28the growth of our businesses. In France Val-de-Loire is quite often known for wine, for instance,
01:35but I want to know how is it with DETEC? Is there any particular sector that you specialize in?
01:39Yes. Our region is a very industrial region. We are the French leader in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals,
01:51biotechnologies. And so most of our sectors are gathered about the theme of care, beauty care,
02:02health care, with the priority and the aim at strengthening the partnerships between French tech players and
02:14our industry. We want to use the French tech and technologies as a leverage to renew the pillars
02:25of our industrial and productive basis throughout the region.
02:29As you said, the region is supporting many startups, 40 of them here, some 20 others around VivaTech.
02:35Can you give us some examples? Show us maybe some of them.
02:38Well, we have one unicorn, which is very present and very vocal in the meeting, which is Ledger,
02:45the leader of blockchain technology. We have also some very interesting startups in ICT for heritage
02:54tourism. Val-de-Loire is the place for Chambord, Chenonceau, and most of the châteaux, the European
03:03and worldwide. And what we want to show you is a specific startup in healthcare, which is called
03:16Lyfi Air, which offers solution for measurement of flows and range of pollens. You know that 30% of the
03:29population
03:29in France is composed of allergy sufferers. And the specificity of this solution is that it provides local and real
03:39-time measurements.
03:40So you get the app and through the box, you can, in a few seconds, analyze the specific motifs and
03:50reasons of your symptoms, which is in time of sustainable development and attention to the health of our workers, a
04:03strong demand nowadays in our businesses.
04:05Absolutely. Very interesting, very useful. Finally, can you tell us briefly what would you say to those who want to
04:11be based in Val-de-Loire or who hesitate?
04:14Well, I think that what we can offer to start-upers and investors also is a kind of proximity and
04:23reactivity. It's a little region. Everybody knows everybody.
04:28It's very easy. It's very easy to get access to local, regional, public authorities. You can enter very easily the
04:38network, become a partner of the most prominent actors of the sector.
04:44And there's a proximity with Paris, Paris region. So in 45 minutes with the train, you can be everywhere, either
04:55in the Val-de-Loire or in Paris. It's a kind of a mix of art-de-vivre and proximity
05:02with the central and centers of decision in France, which is highly attractive nowadays.
