00:00So for at least a year now, YouTube's had this feature where it'll auto-generate something for you to respond to certain comments with, or at least that's how long it's been giving me responses.
00:10So it seems like how it works is that they scan comments you've typed out before to try and mimic how you talk, combined with whatever the comment you're going to respond to says.
00:18And I'm probably best known for making way too many OniPlays Animateds, JesusChristis46, and that's a very specific niche sense of humor, so I get a lot of joke comments and give them joke answers.
00:32And this machine algorithm that they probably barely even tested before implementing can't really understand the context behind why this stuff's being said, or the fact that they're all supposed to be ironic, and that just seems like it breaks it.
00:46And I get some of the most alien, downright schizophrenic sentences I've ever heard out of this thing.
00:52And I've gotten enough of these to show them off in a video.
00:55And I've got exactly two reasons why.
00:58Shits, and giggles.
01:01Alright, let's do it.
01:02So first off, just to be absolutely fair, for the most part, this thing gives me sane, albeit kind of stilted and generic responses like,
01:11Thanks! Practice makes perfect!
01:13Like, that's like, whatever, but I'm not just going to go in and say thanks to every single comment when hearting them is also just, you push a button, and it gets the idea that you appreciate it across just fine.
01:27But, uh, here's the one that inspired me to make this video.
01:30This is from a joke short I made that's like 30 seconds, so I'll just let it play.
01:34Yo, I just got scammed, right?
01:37So, I got Pokemon black and white, right?
01:40That's what they're called.
01:42Um, clearly not in black and white.
01:45There's infinite more colors.
01:46Look at this, look at this.
01:48Uh.
01:49Does that look like black and white, too?
01:58Look at that.
01:59I want my money back.
02:01And, uh, so Sammy, can I say the rest of that name?
02:04Alright, his actual channel name is Samu Fennelli.
02:07We're calling him that.
02:08He said,
02:09Don't worry, dude, I got you.
02:11My dad works at Pokemon.
02:13And so the auto-responses I could have given him are
02:15Tell him to un-lie to me.
02:17My tears are real.
02:19And
02:19Can he work a miracle?
02:22Tell him I need a refund on my childhood.
02:25What the hell is un-lying?
02:27Oh, I guess I would be telling the truth.
02:29Never mind.
02:30I did a video where people could send in a request and I would animate it in Flipnote Studio.
02:36And Navy Seal requested I animate Ugby Mamba chewing on a gun.
02:40And I didn't know what that was, so I was really scared that I would look it up and it would be like some racist caricature or something.
02:47Just because of the name.
02:48But nope, it's just a video game character.
02:50And this is what I ended up making, why not?
02:58So he left this comment on the video and the auto-responder just, like, read my mind.
03:04Look at that.
03:05Also, that name is a fever dream name.
03:08Like, see, that's what's wrong with this.
03:10It can't come up with anything new.
03:11It just knows that people always say fever dream when they're describing weird stuff.
03:16So it just regurgitates that.
03:18We got another comment from Navy Seal here.
03:20This one was from the video Complete My Challenge, where the challenge in question is to just watch this guy breathe awkwardly for 10 minutes.
03:27He commented,
03:28So now it's trying to write jokes, I think.
03:43Cool.
03:43Wow.
03:44Yay.
03:45I gotta say, I love how you draw Zack.
03:48Literally my favorite way of drawing him.
03:50I love your videos.
03:51Please make more.
03:52I will watch.
03:53He's supposed to be like the trench gremlin from the start of the video.
03:56That's why he looks so sickly and pale.
03:59And there is no trench gremlin anywhere in the videos.
04:05There was.
04:05That was my original channel mascot thing was this, which is a goblin, not a gremlin.
04:11Actually, the name, there's not even any special story behind it at all.
04:16I tried like 20 different usernames, but every time I came up with one, I'd just look it up to make sure no one else had it.
04:23And someone always did.
04:25And trench gremlin was the first one I tried that wasn't already taken, so I stuck with that.
04:30You just get this gremlin wearing a trench coat from the movie Gremlins, and then you get me.
04:35So I drew this, and someone commented, nice, Squim looks five seconds from a panic attack, as he should.
04:42That's just his natural state of being.
04:45Uh, yeah, sure, I'll give you that one.
04:47So I did a big Q&A when I hit a thousand subscribers, and this is one of the questions.
04:53Adore this channel.
04:54Which video are you most proud of and had the most fun making?
04:58None.
05:00Or both, because I've only ever made two videos, as everyone knows.
05:05So for this one here, you know, the part where he's at the restaurant in the dark is my favorite part.
05:10I'm so glad you noticed.
05:11I got that one not once, but twice.
05:15It also just straight up copied an actual comment I wrote for the other choice.
05:19And, yeah, there's no restaurant in the dark scene in any video.
05:23Or even in anything.
05:26Wait, is there?
05:27Oh, yeah, actually, the fucking duck man did that.
05:30Like, he kills the power in the restaurant so he doesn't have to look at his ugly date.
05:33So, I guess, here you go.
05:35And, uh, we're saving the most unhinged one for last.
05:38And also, the one with the most elaborate context for why it exists.
05:42So, I animated this OniPlays bit about them pitching a Pixar movie about a monkey with a prolapsed ass.
05:49Yeah.
05:50So, a lot of the comments on there, including mine, had the word prolapse in them somewhere.
05:55So, around two weeks later, I got this animation out a day after the original video came out.
06:01Probably a record.
06:03So, the real life Freddy Krueger, because he's a known fan of OniPlays, said,
06:08Bro, pump this out as soon as he could, lol.
06:10And so, the auto response said,
06:13I've been working on this for like a year, but YouTube blocked it because I used some prolapsed imagery.
06:18So, it just made up its own production facts that aren't even true.
06:25And we talked about prolapses so much in the comments of that other video
06:29that it ended up thinking that was a signature part of my brand.
06:33Great.
06:34That's just wonderful.
06:36So sad it took a year due to the prolapsed imagery, but glad it's finally out.
06:40It's amazing how he had the foresight to even make the animation before the audio even existed.
06:46Truly, a most based animator.
06:49Alright, that's all of them.
06:50I didn't know how to end this.
06:52Bye.
06:52Bye.
06:52Bye.
07:06Bye.
07:07Bye.
07:08Bye.
07:08Bye.
07:08Bye.
07:08Bye.
07:08Bye.
07:08Bye.
07:09Bye.
07:09Bye.
07:09Bye.
