00:51to walk barefoot on the sand of their forever beach home in affordable Astoria, Oregon.
00:56What a beautiful day.
00:58Oregon coast is famous for foggy grayness, but this is like sunny and nice. I'm loving it.
01:03We met the good old fashioned way and that is a couple drinks in at a party.
01:08And then later in the week, I just went and found exactly who he was online and sent him a message.
01:14I'm a dreamer, he's a realist and it works so well.
01:18We have all this coastline and beauty near us and great hiking and we love like stuff with character and history.
01:26Astoria has like a ton of quirky and fun, cool history.
01:31I run a residential and commercial interior design firm.
01:34And I work from home as a software engineer.
01:37It was about four years into living in Portland that we've made the first drive up to Astoria.
01:42The beaches here are a little different, I guess, than some other places.
01:45These are not Caribbean beaches. These are scenic. They're sometimes cold.
01:50It's so lovely because it's creating more of this cozy homey feel.
01:54It's going to be so nice to just be able to walk right out of our doors and be on the beach.

20:30It was just going to be a lot of work and I really wanted to be closer to the beach.
20:34I don't think Columbia Vista is for us, even though we could truly transform every single space to fit our tastes.
20:41And it would have taken more money than we wanted to spend.
