Welcome back to the Make My Bed Every Day series. Lately, I’ve been posting sports edits for the podcast, but I’ve been thinking about something important — I need to get back to making content with my actual face if I want to grow the brand the right way.

I don’t really want this to be a faceless channel, but at the same time, faceless content is easier to outsource and scale. So now I’m stuck between building a personal brand and building something I can hand off. I’m talking through that tension honestly instead of pretending I have it all figured out.

00:00What is up boys, girls, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to making my bed every day and
00:06actually recording it because content is key because I'm trying to be more successful.
00:10I'm trying to be more consistent.
00:11I'm trying to be a better person by starting the day off with an easy win.
00:15And let's go ahead and get into the recap.
00:17Now on the sports channel, I have been doing sports edits, which essentially just taking
00:23highlights from games, editing them, reposting them with captions, talking about, you know,
00:30my take from either the game or that specific highlight or the movement or moment itself
00:37or whatever the case may be.
00:39Now trade deadline is upon us and it seems like teams don't make trades until three days
00:47before trade deadline all the way up to trade deadline.
00:49And I'm having to be on my phone 24 seven to see who gets traded, who doesn't get traded,
00:55who's getting waived, who's signing a contract with their old teams, going to new teams and
00:59everything like that.
01:00So that's been really time consuming.
01:05Unfortunately, I've also noticed that these edits get ridiculous amount of views.
01:11So because of these edits, we've been like a hundred thousand views in the last three days,
01:18which is wild because if I can even convert one of those people to some type of offer,
01:23man, we're rolling in money, but I'm also not necessarily trying to grow a theme page
01:31that is just about sports edits.
01:34So I need to do a better job of making content with my actual face in it, my actual takes
01:39in the video and then posting those alongside the edits.
01:43So I'm really hoping that the edit will drive in more viral views.
01:49And then the videos in which I edit myself with the take will start to grow the actual
01:55brand itself.
01:56Better day sports for the boys.
01:59Just, you know, good time to talk sports and have some debates.
02:03But that's what we are working on now.
02:06Bet is made another day in the books.
02:08And just like that, we are, we are off to the races and feeling good.
