00:00What's up everybody, my name is Trey and welcome to another video and well the sad truth is
00:06times have changed.
00:08YouTube is no longer the only video sharing platform giant anymore.
00:16There are alternatives.
00:19So what if there was a platform that let you say exactly what you thought, how you felt,
00:24paid you fairly and didn't rely on Google's algorithm to actually get people to watch,
00:31share and engage with your content?
00:34Well my friends, that's exactly what Rumble claims to be.
00:39So in this video we'll actually break down what exactly Rumble is, how it works, how creators
00:43get paid and if it's even really worth your time posting on the platform.
00:48But before we actually get into the video, if you are somebody new to the channel, make
00:51sure you hit the subscribe button and notification bell to be notified every time I post a video.
00:54And leave a comment in the comment section down below if you've ever been on Rumble before.
00:58Because before I kind of found out Rumble was a thing and started posting on it.
01:03No one I've ever met has talked about Rumble as, you know, it's an all YouTube alternative.
01:08So like why not just go to YouTube, right?
01:11But what exactly is Rumble?
01:13Well Rumble is a video sharing platform very similar to YouTube.
01:20It's also a live streaming platform, but it emphasizes free speech and creative freedom
01:26when it comes to the actual creators on their platform.
01:28In terms of it's very, very hard to get demonetized on said platform as its whole goal is freedom
01:36of speech.
01:37You can get on there, basically make videos about whatever you want, say whatever you
01:40want without the implications of worrying about being kicked off.
01:44Because whoever is moderating the content doesn't like what you post, you don't have to worry
01:48about that on Rumble's platform specifically.
01:50Rumble basically came about because it saw that creators felt limited in terms of what
01:58they could post on YouTube.
02:01And they were becoming demonetized on mainstream platforms based on their views when it came
02:06to what type of content they're actually producing.
02:08So Rumble saw that as a beautiful opportunity to kind of come into the landscape and say
02:13we are pushing for freedom of speech 1000% without a doubt.
02:18And they are also publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol R-U-M.
02:25So more or less, they're definitely a big player in the space.
02:30If you're a publicly traded company, you know what you're doing.
02:32You definitely have some upside.
02:33So it's not like they're just started and have been running in somebody's garage all
02:38this time.
02:39They are definitely a big deal and they know exactly what they're doing.
02:42Now, how exactly does Rumble work?
02:44Well, if you know how YouTube works, Rumble is exactly the same.
02:47In terms of you can upload videos, live stream, earn revenue, build followers, build communities.
02:53It has a mobile version.
02:55It has a desktop version.
02:56You can watch it on your TV, your laptop, your desktop, your tablet.
03:01And it also has a very simple algorithm.
03:05There's no hidden shadow bands.
03:06There's no black hat tricks that you have to do in order for your videos to get seen.
03:11It's based on how good your videos are and if the community on Rumble actually is filling
03:17your content.
03:18And the main type of content that you actually find on this platform are podcasts, news,
03:24games, sports, finance, vlogs.
03:27Look, it's really just YouTube's content and majority of the content are people just reposting
03:35their content from YouTube.
03:36So it's the same video just on both platforms.
03:38Or you might find kind of more of the raunchy, less edited version on Rumble that they didn't
03:44want to put on YouTube because they were afraid to be demonetized or be shadow banned from the
03:48platform.
03:49Maybe because of some of their viewpoints or just maybe like they cuss a lot or they use
03:54alcohol or they do something that wouldn't necessarily align with YouTube where Rumble
03:58says, hey, we have free speech over here.
03:59Come post on our platform.
04:00We're not going to hurt you for those things.
04:02So just go ahead and as long as you're posting good quality content and people are engaging
04:06with your content, we're definitely going to allow you to do that over on our platform.
04:09Now, what exactly are the differences between Rumble and YouTube?
04:14First, it just becomes with far less censorship than YouTube.
04:18The types of videos that you're allowed to post on Rumble, some of them you would have no
04:22shot in the world being able to post on YouTube just because of the censorship and what YouTube
04:27allows you to actually post on their platform.
04:30Now, they have a very transparent algorithm, which means there's no bias.
04:35There's no black hat tricks.
04:37There's no special individuals that you have to be in contact with in order for your videos
04:41to get more views.
04:42They do a really good job of trying to take care of all of the algorithm on the back end
04:46and saying, hey, as soon as you upload a video, we're going to do our very best to make
04:50sure this video is shown to as many people as humanly possible that we think will really
04:54like this video simply because the more views you get on Rumble, the more money Rumble makes.
05:01So they are highly incentivized to make sure that they are showing your video to people
05:05who actually care about your content.
05:07Rumble also seems to really prioritize smaller mid-sized creators when it comes to pushing
05:13their content.
05:14So they don't only focus on accounts that are extremely large and have millions of subscribers
05:18or anything like that.
05:19It seems like it's really geared to new creators and creators of mid-size who are really trying
05:24to establish who their audience is, make money on the platform, and just make sure that their
05:28overall experience is going well.
05:30Because if you've never posted any content before, the first hundred videos that you post,
05:38especially as a new content creator, in my personal opinion, are easily the worst.
05:43Because you're getting no views, you're getting no comments, no likes, you're getting no type
05:48of engagement on any of your videos, and you're spending so much time making the content.
05:54So it's really nice that they're pushing out small content creators and mid-sized content
05:57creators just to make sure they're getting a little bit of traction, they're getting those
06:00momentum, and they're ending up at the place they want to be in terms of building their
06:04income and building their audience.
06:06Now, I know what you're thinking.
06:08So, okay, cool.
06:09It's a really cool platform, it allows free speech, you can post whatever you want on there,
06:14but like, who exactly is on Rumble?
06:16Because this is a new platform that I've heard of, so like, if I've never heard of it, there's
06:20surely not that many people on it, right?
06:22Well, you'd be mistaken, unfortunately.
06:25There are major brands on Rumble.
06:29Russell Brand, Steven Crowder, Dana White, there's tons and tons of people, and very famous
06:38people, if that, that are posting on Rumble.
06:41Many podcasts and financial creators are also moving over to Rumble, and Rumble has 80 million
06:48active users, and they're growing every single day, every single month.
06:52Basically, Rumble is becoming the go-to home for creators who value independence, who want
06:57to make sure that none of their content is going to be taken down simply because an operating
07:02body doesn't like the content that you're posting.
07:05Now, when we kind of look at it, what's Rumble versus YouTube directly?
07:11Well, Rumble was founded in 2013, YouTube was founded in 2005, Rumble has a monthly user
07:18base of about 80 million, where you compare that to YouTube's 2.5 billion users they have
07:24every single month.
07:24So when it comes to just overall size, obviously Rumble is far, far less in size than YouTube.
07:30There is barely any censorship on Rumble compared to YouTube, where you only get three strikes,
07:37and then you are really at risk at demonetizing your channel or getting kicked off the platform
07:41completely.
07:42Monetization on both platforms work relatively the same.
07:45You get paid through ads, tips, building communities, building paid networks.
07:52So in terms of the monetization on both YouTube and Rumble, they are very, very similar.
07:58So YouTube wins when it comes to actual scale, but Rumble wins when it comes to creator control
08:04just because they really do value your freedom of speech and ability for you to post whatever
08:10content that you actually want without worrying about getting kicked off the platform.
08:13Basically, what Rumble is saying is we're not trying to be YouTube.
08:17We are trying to be the best place for creators to come and have peace of mind knowing that when
08:22they post their content here, they won't get restricted or shadow banned based on the type of content
08:27that they produce.
08:28They want to make sure that they have an open forum to where content creators can post whatever
08:32content they deem to be interesting.
08:34And Rumble is saying that those content creators will be rewarded by the community who actually
08:40watch their videos.
08:41So if you post a video on Rumble that wouldn't be able to be posted on YouTube and you get
08:46tons of engagements and likes and follows and comments on Rumble, Rumble deems that as a
08:52huge success as they are just slowly but surely taking some of the power away from YouTube
08:59and putting it back into the creators' hands.
09:02Now, let's jump into exactly how creators make money on Rumble because that's probably
09:07the most important part, right?
09:09So the number one way is going to be through ad revenue.
09:11So once you're monetized, you can earn ads on your videos, very similar to YouTube.
09:15You don't actually have to do anything when it comes to the ad revenue.
09:18All you have to do is post your content to Rumble.
09:20Rumble is then going to make sure they are putting ads on your content, whether it be
09:24before, mid-roll ads, or at the end.
09:28And they are going to make sure they do that completely for you, completely hands-off.
09:32They'll make sure that's done for you.
09:33You also have Rumble Rants, which is basically a live stream where viewers can donate.
09:37It's kind of like Super Chats.
09:38So you can go live and people can donate to your channel or your cause that you're going
09:43live for directly on Rumble, which is really cool.
09:45They also have the Partner Program, which is basically you getting paid for every single
09:50view that you get on your account.
09:51You do have to be part of the Partner Program first, which isn't relatively that hard to
09:56actually get approved in.
09:57But then you get monetized and paid every time somebody views one of your pieces of content
10:01on the Rumble platform.
10:03Now, Rumble also has four different licensing options that you will have to decide to pick
10:08between when it comes to uploading content.
10:09So I did a full breakdown on these four licenses specifically and which one could be
10:15best for you.
10:16So if you are interested in that video, it'll be in the pin.
10:19I think it's over here.
10:20Maybe over here.
10:20I'm not sure.
10:21It'll be at the top.
10:22So just go ahead and hit that pin or you can go down to the description to find that
10:24video that breaks these down more in depth.
10:26But essentially you have four different types of licensing.
10:29You have exclusive management license.
10:31You have exclusive excluding YouTube license.
10:34You have the Rumble only license and the personal use license.
10:39All of them are very different.
10:40They have pros and cons to each one depending on how you want to grow not only your brand
10:45but your audience on Rumble and across different social medias.
10:49So I highly recommend clicking that video in the YouTube description if you want a full
10:53breakdown on the different licenses.
10:54But you do want to make sure that you have an understanding of which license you want
10:57to use when you post your content just to make sure you're not infringing on any licensing
11:01agreements that you may have opted into.
11:03Now let's jump into some of the pros and cons of the Rumble platform.
11:07So some of the pros include free speech, no political bias.
11:12You're basically able to promote whatever video that you want on the platform without
11:16worrying about getting kicked off or demonetized.
11:18They actually have a better revenue share than YouTube especially for small creators.
11:23Most times small creators I feel can get a little bit overlooked when it comes to YouTube
11:27just because they're such an enormous giant when it comes to the video sharing platform.
11:31And they have content creators who have hundreds if not millions of followers and the small
11:38new channels can kind of get overlooked in my opinion.
11:41Live stream features are built into Rumble which is really nice and it makes it very convenient
11:45especially if you're someone that wants to get involved into live streaming.
11:48And overall I would say Rumble is more geared towards the actual creator than it is the viewer.
11:52I would say it's opposite on YouTube.
11:54YouTube really wants to make sure that the viewer is getting the best experience humanly possible
11:57where Rumble has the opposite.
11:59It knows that the content creators that are making content for the platform are really
12:03the lifeblood of Rumble in terms of income, in terms of retention, and people wanting to
12:09come over and use the platform.
12:11So I think the user experience for the content creator on Rumble is a little bit better where
12:16the content and the user experience for YouTube may be a little bit better on that side.
12:22Now what are some of the cons when it comes to the Rumble platform?
12:26So it's a much, much smaller audience than YouTube so it's extremely difficult to go viral.
12:32So if you're somebody that normally goes viral relatively easily on YouTube or TikTok or
12:36Instagram, you might not see that same type of success on Rumble simply because it just
12:41doesn't have the user base that these other social media platforms have when it comes to
12:46their monthly users, their daily users, and just the overall hype of the platform.
12:51Now there are limited editing and analytics tools.
12:54It feels relatively clunky compared to YouTube.
12:58Their interface isn't perfect.
13:00It really feels like the beginning days of YouTube.
13:05It's like before YouTube was able to figure out all the bells and whistles to make the
13:09algorithm perfect and make sure that your editing tools were on point and to make sure
13:14that everything was laid out really properly, really pretty.
13:17It just has a clunky feel to Rumble.
13:20Not saying it's a bad feel.
13:21It's just a very different feel than YouTube in my opinion.
13:25Now if you're somebody that started your video consumption on Rumble and you went over
13:32to YouTube, you probably feel the exact same on YouTube.
13:36You might say YouTube has way too many bells and whistles.
13:38There's too much stuff going on.
13:39I like a very simplistic approach that maybe Rumble has.
13:42So I wouldn't say that it's necessarily a con when you get used to it, but it definitely
13:49takes a minute to understand the layout, which can be frustrating for some people.
13:54Now I guess the question is, after we went through the pros, the cons, about the platform,
14:00should you join Rumble?
14:03Well, if you want freedom, complete control over your content, and basically the inability
14:11to be demonetized or kicked off the platform, I would say without a doubt, 1,000% yes.
14:19If you're already uploading videos to YouTube, why not repurpose them, make more passive income,
14:26and grow your audience on a different platform?
14:31Seems like a no-brainer to me.
14:32So creators who get in early on new platforms normally grow the fastest because when there
14:40is not an enormous user base, those consumers of said user base have to go somewhere.
14:49So if you are a small creator and you're making content on YouTube and you just feel like you
14:53cannot find your niche, you cannot get views, you cannot get subscribers or likes, and you
14:58just feel like you're overwhelmed by other extremely large brands, maybe repurposing your content
15:04over to Rumble would really help you out.
15:06Or at least I think it has helped me out in terms of growing my audience because now I
15:10am posting on multiple different platforms and I can see that I'm getting more traction
15:15depending on what type of videos that I'm actually posting.
15:18So more of my podcast style do really well on Rumble, where more of my how-to videos or
15:23what are videos, like what is Rumble, what is Odyssey, what is Dailymotion, what is YouTube,
15:30those do really well on the YouTube platform itself.
15:33So if you are thinking long-term when it comes to building your brand, building your audience,
15:38building your income, I would say YouTube is definitely a great platform to post your content
15:44on besides just posting it on YouTube.
15:46You want to make sure you're diversifying not only your audience, but also your income.
15:50Worst case scenario, YouTube goes down, they demonetize your content, or at least you have
15:55Rumble running in the background, still making you some money until you can figure out what
15:58exactly is going on with your YouTube account.
16:00So would highly, highly recommend not only you start posting content on Rumble, but really
16:05learn the insides and outs of Rumble.
16:08It's a pretty simple platform to understand.
16:10Like I said, there's not as many bells and whistles as YouTube.
16:12It's definitely a lot different than YouTube, just in terms of kind of how it functions.
16:18But similar enough to where if you've posted a video on YouTube before, the transition will
16:22not be very hard.
16:24Trust me, you'll figure it out.
16:26But just like that, I really hope you enjoyed this video.
16:29If you are new to the channel, make sure you hit subscribe button and notification bell
16:31to be notified every time I post a video.
16:33And leave a comment in the comment section down below.
16:35Are you somebody who's going to check out Rumble now?
16:37Because, well, I would really recommend YouTube.
16:41The type of stuff that you can find on Rumble is actually pretty insane.
16:44And if you've never been on it before, you have no idea what I'm talking about.
16:48So go ahead and try it out because it's something, I promise.
16:51And just like that, I will see you in the next one.
16:53Peace.
