00:55And that's going to benefit Webb possibly as well.

01:06Cooper Webb tried to make a move in the corner before the finish, got off line,
01:11and actually jumped off the track and short on the finish line.

01:21gets it to the side of RJ and shoots left.
01:23He hits RJ, whoa!
01:25That could have been so bad.
01:26He is so lucky he didn't get landed on.
01:29Great heads up riding by guys like Aaron Plessinger, Chase Sexton.
01:34Anderson being aware and in the moment.
01:39Meanwhile, Anderson has taken the lead from Tomek.

01:46Every time you think you have it figured out, someone makes a mistake and it changes.
01:51I wonder if Eli is feeling 100% going back to that gnarly crash he took in race two.

02:07And Hunter Lawrence up the inside takes second away, Will.
02:10I did check in with the Red Bull KTM team to see if there was any injuries on Eli after
02:15that and I got told by two of the team members that he's perfectly fine.
02:20It looks that way because he's right back up on the 96.
02:24And Hunter Lawrence able to hold him off.
02:26The battle is on now.
02:27What a way to defend the position by Hunter Lawrence.
02:31It is so hard not to get scared or spooked a little bit and get off line.
02:36It didn't even phase him.
02:37He still triple triples that section.
02:39Eli wasn't able to do that.
02:42Hunter pulls a little breathing room in between the two of them.
02:46But Hunter isn't able to do the rhythm lane.
02:48Tomek gets him back.
02:52Great racing.
02:54Now, Tomek's not in it for the overall race win.
02:57But Hunter Lawrence certainly is.
02:59And that's costly because now Roxxon's up to four.
03:01I believe this puts Roxxon into the overall win and he is closing.

03:09Right now as they run, Roxxon would win by one point over Hunter Lawrence.
03:17Webb is still buried in seven.
03:19Sexton the bat start is six.
03:21But Webb is right there also.
03:22If you look at the pylon on your left right there, five seconds back of the leader.
03:27Sexton four seconds.
03:28They're all right there in the screen.
03:30And what a battle.
03:32Yeah, shout out Christian Craig and the Quad Lock Honda who's in it as well.
03:35Now Tomek begins to go to work again on Anderson for the lead.
03:39Yeah, Tomek getting back into that groove.
03:42Maybe a little reset from that last race.
03:45And we knew coming into the triple crown that the likes of Anderson, we saw Prado the previous two.
03:53They would be tough in the shorter races.
03:55There you go.

03:59Tomek's got the lead.
04:00Weiju asked me about that when we were on the track of qualifying practice today.
04:04Specifically going into that double.
04:07Are some guys going to break too hard?
04:09Is the bike going to get upset?
04:10And I said, man, you can make a lot of time up right there.
04:13Coming into that double as simple of a section as it found.
04:17And that was a perfect example of that.
04:19Eli Tomek with a great pass.
04:22And it's all salvaging positions for Tomek.
04:25He can't win the race with the 13th in race two.
04:28But he's climbing back up the order, salvaging points.
04:31Hunter Lawrence and Ken Rockson, they are fighting for the race win.
04:36Man, what a pass by Eli.
04:38He just goes in there with a ton of speed.
04:41Loads the motorcycle up.
04:42Lawrence has got a line on Anderson.
04:45Same thing.
04:46What's happening is, I believe, right to the right-hand side of that double.
04:50It's a little bit smoother so they can drive through the face of that double.
04:54Stay lower, scrub speed.
04:56And with that pass, Hunter now has the overall lead.
04:59Rockson needs to respond.
05:01And he is.

05:04Anderson being tough with it on his teammate again.
05:07With the twisted T-Suzuki and the progressive Suzuki.
05:10But that's the same operation.
05:13And Chase Sexton has caught the groove.
05:16Oh, this is going to shake things up for sure.
05:18Sexton is absolutely rolling.
05:20He's going to go the inside.
05:24Rockson.
05:25Side-by-side with Sexton in the whoops.
05:28And Sexton completes the pass.
05:30What a quality pass.
05:31Great job, Chase.
05:32Oh, Rockson isn't able to triple out.
05:35And Webb's going to get him.
05:37And this all works to the advantage of Hunter Lawrence for the overall.
05:40And, wow, that last lap.
05:50Oh, here comes Sexton after Anderson.
05:52So costly from this turn all the way around.
05:55Rockson had a shot at the overall.
05:58He's lost spots.
05:58And, by the way, not only is Hunter Lawrence in position to win his first ever 450 Supercross.
06:07He could be the points leader by the end of the night.
06:10No surprise.
06:11He's been rock solid all season long.

06:16Rockson trying to come back on Webb.
06:19Halfway through this race.

07:01And if Webb can get Anderson and hold off Rockson, he could win the overall.

07:14This is unbelievable racing.
07:18Webb needs to pass Anderson.
07:20He is tied with Lawrence on points.
07:22He can gain one if he makes the pass.
07:24He's going for it.
07:26Cooper's starting to turn down early.
07:29Gain that speed coming out of the corners.
07:31His track is playing right into his hand.
07:34And with that, Cooper Webb in position for the race win overall.
07:39And it's so often the way Cooper Webb does it.
07:46And this is why they call this guy the disruptor for years.
07:50Every time someone else seems to have it, Cooper Webb strikes.
07:54Rockson's not done with Anderson.
07:56Well, and he knew.
07:58He knew he's at the point of no return.
08:00It was time to get the job done.
08:02He showed us a little bit last week of the improvements that he had made.
08:06Now he's made even more coming in here to Houston.
08:10We talked about at the top of the show how he can make these big point gaps in one race.
08:15He could go from 24 points back to only 17 points back in one weekend.
08:22Yes, because Tomac had the bad second race.
08:24That helps Sexton having his problems tonight.
08:27A couple of mistakes.
08:29Sexton is sixth working on Anderson.
08:31Now Rockson, if he could get where, would take the overall.
08:34So it's not quite over.
08:36Battle's good.
08:36Yeah, not sure what happened here because how fast Sexton was going the beginning of this race.
08:42And then all of a sudden it just, he made that one bobble in that rhythm section coming up.
08:48And then really hasn't been able to recover since then.
08:52Rockson is going after Webb and it is for the overall win.
09:00If he passes him, they'd be tied.
09:02The tiebreaker is the better finish in this race.
09:05Rockson is not done.
09:06I go back to these days when these guys used to battle it out.
09:14Now Mike, could you imagine if it came down to these two guys going for it?
09:17Talk about a rewind.
09:19We were kind of hoping for it when this race began that we could get another classic, Webb and Rockson.
09:24And a lot of them have taken place here in Texas.
09:26But it's usually the opposite.
09:28It's usually Webb stalking Rockson.
09:30Now it's the 94th turn, Will.
09:32Yeah, just to let you guys know, Cooper Webb is aware of the situation.
09:36I just saw on his pit board there from his race mechanic.
09:40He said, stay P3 for the win.
09:42So he knows exactly what's going on right now.
09:44I mean, I'm going to tell you what, this guy, we've talked about it for so many years.
09:49I mean, three-time Supercross champ, Cooper Webb.
09:53The sense that he has from his competitors and what line they're going to take.
09:57He is so good at defending that to where the guys can't get by him.
10:01I think if Kenny wants to get by Coop, the best opportunity for that to happen is going to be the whoops section.
10:10Or could it come down to a mistake?
10:11This track has proven so difficult to nail every lap.
10:15And Rockson is closing again.
10:17We're getting into lappers too.
10:18Oh, Kenny gets sideways.

10:23They get by him.
10:25Tomac is gone with the race lead over Lawrence.
10:27Man, I'm going to tell you, Coop has Kenny right on the ropes.
10:31The gap is manageable right now.
10:35But if he's able to pull it out a little more, I think it's over.
10:40But if Kenny can keep it close, this thing's going to go down to the wire.
10:44And there you can see Webb, second on the all-time Triple Crown win list.
10:49It's a format that started in 2018.
10:51Looking for his sixth Triple Crown win.
10:54And they are throwing everything at it.
10:56Kenny loses that rhythm lane right there.
11:00Man, he has got to stick with it.
11:02He's only got about two or three more laps.
11:05He's got to stay tough, crit it out.
11:08Now Hunter Lawrence, he must know if he can get Tomac back.
11:12That would switch the overall win back into his favor.
11:16So he has every reason to go for it here with about two laps to go.
11:20Yeah, but I don't think that's going to happen.
11:23Because Eli wants to come out of here with the win.
11:25Give these guys a taste of, hey, I'm the same dude that won Anaheim 1 and won San Diego.
11:31And was on my way to doing well before I fell.
11:35And this is all about the mind, in my opinion.
11:38Not only to himself, but his competitors as well.
11:41Well, yeah, compare Tomac's performance tonight to last week.
11:44That's right.
11:44It's a big bounce back.
11:45Even if the result doesn't show it.
11:49He was good last week, Tomac.
11:50But not as good as the first two rounds.
11:52He might not win the overall.
11:55But he is serving notice that he might still be the man in this series.
11:59But Kenny rocks it.
12:01Kenny absolutely hanging with it.
12:03He's able to claw back.
12:04He lost some time that last lap.
12:09But he's staying with it.
12:11And I love to see it.
12:13Oh, it's a battle of wills now on maybe the most difficult track of the year.
12:18It's going to come down to the whoops section right here.
12:21If Kenny's able to get a few bike lengths closer,
12:25I think he goes full send mode through the whoops
12:28and goes up the inside and makes a move on Koop.

12:46And you said, at the start of this show,
12:49he has got to show something.
12:51He's got to start putting it together, Cooper Webb.
12:53And this is his moment to do it.
12:59And it has always been the book on the number one.

13:04he performs his best.
13:06Croxton's still attacking, though.
13:07And it ain't by happenstance.
13:09And he's a three-time champion.
