00:00Time for the main event, 2.50, some Glendale.
00:09McAdoo, I thought, had it on the inside.
00:11He's up there.
00:12And it's going to be Deegan.
00:14Deegan doubles right out of that corner.
00:16Look at the gap that he gets because of doing that.
00:19Mozemann right there in second.
00:211-2 for the Amahas.
00:23McAdoo had a good jump, but he got to the brakes early.
00:26It's empty, Francisco.
00:28It is.
00:28Hey, I said, keep your eye out.
00:31Extremely fast early today.
00:33Having a lot of confidence.
00:35He's had an incredible season so far.
00:38Bad game pick for DeFrancisco with a heat race crash.
00:42But, boy, has he come back to making a good start.
00:45McAdoo fighting him.
00:47Yeah, if he can stay in front of McAdoo, it's going to be pretty easy right here.
00:52But watch McAdoo's whoop entry speed like JT was telling you about in the Yamaha track map.
00:57Watch.
00:58Oh, Ryder has good entry speed as well.
01:03That's Anstey and Kitchen buried back there.
01:06So another bad start for the 61.
01:08Kitchen, I believe, is just a few positions further up.
01:11And now a big pileup back there.
01:13Oh, these guys got to keep it clean, nice and straight through the rhythm lane right here.
01:19Heartbreak for Max Anstey and Levi Kitchen.
01:22This just seemed like they cannot stop the leak, Will.
01:27Guys, I just want to give a bit of background in that heat race and what we saw in the highlights there.
01:32It happened to Max Anstey when he rode up on the burn that it wasn't anything to do with the bike.
01:36He told me that he just got us getting elbows from out of the riders there and just basically ran out of space.
01:41He said, look, I could have put on the brakes, but I probably would have ended up on the ground.
01:44Or I could have just stayed straight and not hit the brakes, and that's exactly what he had to do.
01:49All right.
01:49Good to know that.
01:50Yeah, it wasn't the brake problem.
01:51He just didn't have room there.
01:53Thanks, Will.
01:53But the problem now is that he is in 13th and Kitchen is in 10th.
01:58There's some whoop entry speed from McAdoo in the top box.
02:02He does not want to let DeFrancisco get away.
02:08He's right there.
02:10I go back to, what was it, Anaheim 2.
02:12These guys are battling it out to the end, and McAdoo slipped up right there with about a lap and a half to go.
02:20And Ryder DeFrancisco moved into that podium position.
02:25Yeah, McAdoo is so bumped to let that podium get away.
02:28to DeFrancisco, so he is determined to stop it this time.
02:33Man, Ryder De has made some massive improvements for that rock star Husky team
02:40and working with guys like the team manager, Nathan Ramsey, an old teammate of mine,
02:46and just the momentum that he has and how well that Ryder De has been performing is great to see
02:53because this is a kid that was extremely talented, still is talented,
02:57but had a great amateur career, and great to see him living up to his expectations, JT.
03:03It is. He's come a long way, Ricky, and watching Cameron McAdoo here, you know, he's taking some strides of his own
03:09because if you look back at the beginning of this championship, he really got a late start.
03:12He wasn't as prepared as he wanted to be coming in, and you can see it in his riding.
03:17He was just a touch off on sprint speed.
03:19He didn't really have the pace to go with the guys, so he's almost having to manufacture these podium finishes,
03:25like put himself in position and hang in there.
03:28Watching him this weekend, it looks like he's taking a step.
03:30He doesn't look like he's struggling to find the pace, so that sprint speed is starting to come back for the 142.
03:36Yeah, I agree with you 100%, JT, just sitting here watching Cameron.
03:40It doesn't look like he's on that edge, that ragged edge, and he just looks like he's at a comfortable pace.
03:47And when you're in that particular zone and you're not on that edge,
03:50I feel like your percentage of something going wrong definitely goes down, so that's great for Cameron.
03:57And remember, he took a lot of time off last year,
03:59so maybe this was a good approach for him to slowly get into it, control that hype.
04:05There is the 47, his teammate, but McAdoo said that wasn't his goal.
04:08He wanted to come out firing.
04:09He felt they had improved the bike in the offseason, but in the races, he didn't feel as comfortable,
04:14and he actually asked to go back to a year ago's setup,
04:18and he said that's what's really allowed him to get comfortable again, and you're seeing it right now.
04:23He is not letting the 34 out of sight, and it'll be interesting.
04:26Can they push each other up to most of it?
04:30Well, they can, for sure, but the biggest thing I feel like for Ryder D is to not let that pressure get to him.
04:38You know, when you go back, I was talking about A1 or A2, how Ryder D was all over Cameron,
04:44and Cameron just held his line until the last two laps.
04:47This is kind of what Ryder D needs to do right here, just let the race play out.
04:51As for McAdoo, he's got that whoop entry speed JT talked about, got the move and the pass.
05:05He was determined.
05:06He was determined, and I thought that's the move he was going to put on Ryder D a couple laps ago,
05:12but Ryder D got a great drive through the whoops there, Will.
05:19Cameron spoke to me earlier, Ricky, about his confidence,
05:23and looking back on his amateur career when he was younger,
05:26and how long it's taken him, he said, to get to the point whereby he believes he can push through,
05:31so then he can apply patience and know that he's going to get there.
05:34And that was just fascinating to watch him do that against a Ryder like Ryder D'Francisco,
05:39who grew up winning his entire amateur career.
05:42So the belief that Cameron McAdoo now has after all these years is showing through.
05:48Thanks, Will.
05:50And yeah, absolutely.
05:51Let's see if he can go for a second.
05:52At bottom box, you're watching Kitchen battling Yoder.
05:56That is for sixth.
05:57Club of X Riders doing well again.
06:00Volant fifth, Yoder sixth.
06:01But here comes Kitchen.
06:04Man, it's tough for Kitchen.
06:07I mean, he's looking really good right now.
06:10He's rolling, set some good lap times.
06:12He was the fastest guy on the track two laps ago.
06:16The thing is, you use up so much energy early on in these races
06:20when you're trying to fight your way back coming from behind.
06:26This year has just been something I wasn't expecting.
06:30Man, he's had a tough go at it.
06:32And now that's the story as well for Anstey.
06:35Won the opener, but it has been rough since.
06:37He, on that 61, is just trying to go top ten right now.
06:43He is tenth.
06:44Oh, who is that down?
06:45Parker Ross, eighth.
06:47So that's Long and Anstey are both going to pick up a spot.
06:50See, now Kitchen has caught Volant for fifth.
06:53Not easy to do on this racetrack with all these 90-degree corners.
07:00Same little pass right here that he did on Yoder.
07:06JT.
07:07Yeah, Kitchen is making another move there.
07:09But you look back on this championship for Kitchen, and it's almost what could have been.
07:14Because so much of it, you know, you hear in tennis this concept of unforced errors and how punitive they can be.
07:20That's what it feels like for Levi Kitchen.
07:22Those first-turn crashes were all his doing.
07:25Putting himself in bad spots, falling over really when it was no one else's fault but his own.
07:30The riding is not the issue.
07:32He is so incredibly capable.
07:34But if you're going to start outside the top ten each and every week, a guy like Hayden Keegan is going to be out of sight before you even get started.
07:42And that's definitely the story here into the second half of this main event.
07:45He's got a lot of work to do.
07:47Halfway through, remind you, do stock up on Monster Energy drinks at Quick Trip.
07:51Kitchen's top five, but that doesn't really tell the story outside the top ten early.
07:58Yeah, he's rolling, and I agree with everything that JT was saying.
08:06As for Deegan, no trouble with the starts for him or the finishes.
08:10He's just kind of cruising.
08:12I'm going to say I said it last week.
08:13I mean, these are these type of wins that you really want to enjoy because not always is it going to be this easy,
08:21especially when you get into that 450 class.
08:24But he definitely looks good.
08:26And just where he's been able to improve, we talked about riding that edge.
08:31This guy doesn't even look like he's close to that.
08:34Putting in some good, smooth laps and really probably learning so much.
08:40Even though it seems like it's easy for him, you just learn, you know, how the bike can work in certain circumstances.
08:45And we talked about it, too.
08:47Thinking about where you're at compared to lap times on that 450.
08:51You surely have to think that's where his mind is at at times.
08:56That's interesting to hear that that's probably where the focus is now.
08:59Earlier we had Deegan on this screen.
09:01Screen seven drone cam, that new movie coming soon.
09:04But it's kind of fitting for Deegan.
09:07Rebs that bike so hard, you can hear it.
09:09You can tell when Deegan's coming by.
09:12It just sounds different than everybody else on the track.
09:14JT, what are you seeing?
09:16I'm seeing the same thing you are, Weege.
09:18And, you know, Hayden and I kind of go back and forth, a little banter on his podium interviews.
09:22And, you know, in offseason, I've kind of wanted to see things from Hayden to show me that he was ready to go race the likes of Eli Tomac and Jet Lawrence when he returns.
09:33But I have to give Hayden a lot of credit.
09:34He has answered the bell on all of the things I wanted to see.
09:37I wanted to see him better in the loops.
09:39Checkmark.
09:40I wanted to see consistency in the start.
09:42Here he is with another hole shot.
09:44So I'm going to give credit where credit is due.
09:46All of the things that I wanted to see from Hayden in 2026, he's here.
09:50He has arrived, and I think he's ready to take a step.
09:53Yeah, like it or not, you cannot deny how he really steps up and makes it happen 98% of the time.
10:03How about this charge of pitching?
10:05This guy is rolling again, looking at timing and scoring.
10:09Fastest guy on the track last lap, 58.2.
10:14And going by DeFrancisco, I don't think we expected to see this.
10:18Ryder III was under pressure from McAdoo, but it's now drifted back.
10:22Kitchum getting him as well, so that'll push Ryder back to fifth.
10:26Really strong ride, and he can take this momentum and build from that because really I believe at this stage and how the season has gone, it should just be all about wins.
10:39I mean, the championship is going to be a long shot at this stage.
10:44So go out there and win, and show us who you really are.
10:48Shout out to the second place runner, Michael Moseman.
10:52Look, dealing with Deegan is tough for anyone, but it has still been a solid season for him.
10:57And if it ends like this, Moseman will reclaim second in championship points.
11:02Veteran out of Northern California, who we talked about many times, had a retirement party, thought his career was over.
11:10Boy, has he ever returned, and better than ever.
11:15And more building blocks for the 23, Will.
11:19And we've talked about this before, Jason, but how different is Michael Moseman from so many other riders in the paddock?
11:26He's just fascinating.
11:27I got to have a really good chat with him a week or so ago, and he was telling me that most of his friend group, which he said are not moto guys, they're not riders,
11:36he said they're kind of like friends from church, family friends with him and his wife.
11:40He said, don't really know what he does.
11:42And then the cat got let out of the bag because his wife was at a watch party.
11:47They were at their hometown there, and they were watching Michael race, and then all his friends were like, oh, we had no idea that you did this at this level.
11:55That's the pass get, and now the pass gets made them.
11:58So just fascinating, just very different.
12:00His wife is a lawyer.
12:01It's just not what you normally see.
12:03He's a very interesting character.
12:04Thanks, Will.
12:05Oh, Kitchen hooked up.
12:07And McEner didn't get that double.
12:08And I cannot believe the 47 has come all the way back for a podium spot.
12:12Yeah, the door opened up, and the chef walked right on in there, uses up pretty much all the track, leaves just one thin line at the top of the berm there for McAdoo to get around, showing his teammate a little grace.
12:27And this has been a heck of a comeback.
12:29And, again, we talk about surprises and what surprises you for certain riders.
12:34This isn't a surprise because we do know how talented that the 47 is, and he is more than capable of rides like this.
12:43And it's great.
12:43It's really great to see him come from behind like this.
12:47He might be more than capable of getting to second.
12:49Oh, yeah.
12:50And the mind starts to wander to next week, Kitchen's home race in Seattle.
12:55And, again, that will be the last race before 250 East begins in Arlington outside of Dallas.
13:02Can he deliver for the home fans next week with riding like this?
13:05Maybe.
13:06And, man, he's catching up quickly.
13:08Yeah, again, fastest man on the track, the last lap.
13:11And just watching Kitchen, trying to figure out where he's making up so much time.
13:18Ricky, are you noticing how quick he is in the mid part of the turn?
13:21Like he's riding so fast through the mid part as he goes to make the pass here.
13:26And just like that, he's in the second.
13:28Ah, he's in the zone right now.
13:31He is so focused.
13:32Look at him scrubbing that finish line.
13:34But, yeah, he's throwing a lot of center speed through the corners.
13:37JT, another area, too.
13:39He's been rock solid as the whoops.
13:40Looks like he's going a little bit more to the right-hand side compared to the guys.
13:4613th, the lap one, to second for Kitchen.
13:50But, oh, by the way, this guy is on a cruise ride.
13:53Hayden Began out front with a little over a minute and a lot to go.
13:58You can see the ruts right there going through that rhythm lane.
14:05Love the options.
14:08Track change quite a bit from earlier.
14:09It has, but, again, I'll go back to what I said earlier.
14:13As I feel like this track has held moisture a bit more than what it has in the past.
14:17Uh-oh, look, we've got the challenge for the final podium spot.
14:23McAdoo and Mozevin.
14:25Could be a 2-3 for the Pro Circuit team again.
14:28And they were getting into the lappers as well, so they could possibly play a role.
14:33Your Cameron McAdoo keep charging right here.
14:37Watch McAdoo.
14:38If he's going to be able to make a move by the 23, keep your eye on the whoops section.
14:43He's going to have to be closer than he is right now, so maybe it'll be next lap.
14:47Stay right here.
14:48Let's see what happens.
14:50Oh, he's right to that right side.
14:52Here it comes.
14:55Got it.
14:56Yeah.
14:58You saw that coming?
14:59Yeah, I saw it coming just because he's had really good whoop entry speed all day long.
15:04And there it goes.
15:08Now he sets himself up on the right.
15:10Is that just to get to the inside, or is he actually, is that the line he wants?
15:14Yeah, I think it's the line he wants.
15:15I mean, as crazy as it sounds, there's like certain areas in the whoops where they're a little bit smoother than others,
15:22maybe not as steep, especially on the entry.
15:26But Cameron's always had really good speed through the whoops as well.
15:29So a great pass late in the race like this, last lap.
15:33And here's what that unlocks our seat.
15:36If he can hold on for this podium, Mozevin's going to fight him for it.
15:39McAdoo left 26 career podiums.
15:42He'd be in the tie for fourth all time in 250 Supercross career podiums.
15:47That is incredible.
15:48Yeah.
15:49Especially when you're, you know, like JT was talking about, you know, how his amateur career, I mean, he really wasn't a guy.
15:55Not at all.
15:55We talked about it out there, and man, he just plugged away and got some good breaks.
16:01Shout out to old Tony Alessi who picked him up on the Moto Concepts team late in his amateur career.
16:07They saw something in him, and he has been improving ever since.
16:11Really took a step, as we said last week, with Kawasaki.
16:15But again, the Kawasaki's are going to be two and three because no one can stop Hayden Deegan in 250 Supercross.
16:23Another dominant ride, another win, four in a row for Hayden Deegan.
16:32Great ride for Kitchen, 13th to second.
16:36And there's McAdoo with that 26th career podium.
16:40And Moseman and DeFrancisco got to be bummed on that one.
16:49They were in position for it, but the Kawasaki boys really were bearing down late.
16:52They were about eight years to see my family and a half, but not.
16:54So thank you.
16:54So thank you.
16:55So thank you.
16:57So thank you.
17:13Thank you.
