02:31he has got to improve his early race intensity.
02:36And that's not the early race stuff necessarily win specialty either,
02:40but he is hanging in there, and you know he'll be strong later.
02:43Yeah, you talk about it not being his specialty, Weege,
02:46but I got to tell you that win and what that win did for him mentally last week,
02:51was it going to be enough, JT?
02:53And it sure seems like it.
02:55Well, and this is historically his best racetrack.
02:57He's averaging his sixth place,
02:59and that's with his second here last year that really bucked that trend.
03:02But the critical aspect here for Webb,
03:04and he knows this, he's got to hang in there in the first half.
03:07If he's right behind these guys, when the halfway flag flies,
03:11it is absolutely on,
03:13because they will have withstood the fury from Ken Roxen.

03:19It is one of his best tracks.
03:20It had been statistically one of Webb's worst.

03:24Yes, but he did do well last year,
03:25but he's trying to put that to bed.
03:28Crowd has come to life,
03:29because Roxen challenging and taking the lead from Lawrence.
03:33But look at right there, Hunter,
03:35staying with him, great pass by Kenny.
03:37Almost wonder if something happened to Hunter in the sand,
03:40because I felt like Hunter had a few bike links of a lead.
03:44Oh, he's all over him right here.
03:46Watch Kenny in the whoop speed.
03:48He's been good there all day.
03:50Gaps Hunter just by about a half a bike length right there.
03:54But Hunter's got great speed on the rest of the track.
03:58So a big reset here.

04:19This is in Germany, so we were riding like blue groove pretty much all the time.
04:31So I am used to that.
04:32Having said that, I've been here for so long now
04:34that the connection, you know,
04:37I think some things just stay with you since your childhood.
04:40You know, it kind of shapes your brain a little bit,
04:42and this track might just be that.
04:43So I've always been pretty comfortable here.
04:46I don't necessarily go here thinking that this is my place to go to and whatnot,
04:50but obviously it's hard to ignore over the years
04:52with the results that I've had here
04:54that this place has got to be, suit me really well.
04:58So I guess very good vibes coming in here every year to the service.
05:03Here's some good vibes.
05:04He is pulling away now from Lawrence and Webb.
05:07Yeah, he, I mean, let's be honest.
05:11This guy rides well everywhere.
05:12Yeah.
05:13And, I mean, you want to talk about tech.
05:15This guy is, he's super techie on a motorcycle, a lot of talent.
05:21And I just think about all the years and how many races he's done.
05:26You're all seeing, you're seeing it come to life,
05:29the things that he's done right,
05:31and then some challenging times that he's had throughout his career.
05:35Great to see Kenny in this position, but how about this guy?
05:39Great to see this from Tomek.
05:40He is back up to race pace.
05:42He has caught 21st place Cartwright,
05:45but at least if he did get banged up in that crash,
05:48it can't be that bad because he's back up to speed.
05:50Boy, I mean, I think it might be worse than what we think.
05:56I mean, he definitely was in no hustle mode,
05:59and he knows what's at stake right now.

06:05What can Adrenaline do, even if he is hurting right now in this situation?
06:10I mean, he's just got to grind it out
06:12and try to get as many positions to eliminate the damage at this point.

06:22Been a so-so knife for Chase Sexton on the number four.
06:25He is in eighth, battling with Dylan Ferrandez for seventh.
06:29He's got Blessinger right behind him.
06:32Blessinger made up a ton of time getting into that sand section.

06:40Watching Chase Sexton, and I'm not sure what it is here,
06:44but ever since he was unable to kind of make that final pass
06:47on race one at the Triple Crown in Houston,
06:49Chase just hasn't looked like the same guy.
06:52He had so much intensity as he tries to make a move here on Ferrandez.
06:56But ever since in race two, race three, he just wasn't the same guy.
07:00And that trickled into today.
07:01Qualifying didn't look that great.
07:03Mediocre heat race in here.
07:04Tough start and trying to battle from the back.
07:07So I'm not sure if it's mental, physical,
07:08or if he's still battling in a motorcycle setting,
07:10but he has not been the same rider for going on a week now.
07:14JT, just to give you a little back story in that,
07:16I did get to speak to team manager Dan Fahey,
07:18who told me that after the heat race today, Chase was not comfortable.
07:23That's what he told them.
07:24They said they were kind of in a better space earlier on in qualifying,
07:28but not after the heat race.
07:29And they did make a few subtle changes there,
07:31just a few clickers in between that and the main event
07:33that we're watching right now.
07:35But he also said that they're continuing to work in the week.
07:38I know there's mixed opinion on how much you should be doing that.
07:41Dan did make it clear that these weren't big swings,
07:43they weren't big changes.
07:44but he did also stress that that's their job,
07:47that is the team's job.
07:48He said that our job is to make our guy comfortable
07:50and we will keep working,
07:52and they work every single week in order to achieve that goal.
07:54And he said we won't stop until we get him in a place
07:57where he feels that he can fight forward.

08:19He just can't get by him.
08:20And I thought he was going to run him wide there

08:31but look at the Cowboys in the perfect spot,

08:34and that sets him up to be on the inside.
08:36Now you watch this next lap or two,
08:38he's going to catch right up to Chase Sexton.
08:40Saw that in the heat race.
08:41They follow each other through.

08:43Plessinger has some speed tonight,
08:45and let's see if he can keep it close.
08:48And can he and Sexton work together
08:50to get to Savace, who'd be next.
08:52Did I mention that Prado and Cooper battle?
08:54I think Prado, though, just made a mistake.
08:57Well, you saw Chase Sexton's fight
09:00kind of dancing around there,
09:01going left to right,
09:02but like JT you were talking about
09:04and the setup and not being comfortable.
09:07But, you know,
09:08not always is your bike going to be comfortable,
09:10and you just have to do
09:11the best that you can in this situation.
09:14And I know that I've been there,
09:16and I know it's frustrating,
09:18but you just got to keep your head down
09:20and keep digging,
09:21and that's what he's doing.

09:23tough spot for the number four here.

09:28Ken Rockson.
09:29Impressive.
09:32Adding to his lead.
09:34Oh, no, Lawrence closed in a little bit,

09:39the legendary team manager
09:41for Rockson's squad, Larry Brooks,
09:43who has taken so many riders
09:45to championships in this series,
09:48is diagnosed with stage two colon cancer,
09:51so not going to be at the races for a while.
09:54Larry is confident
09:55that he will have a positive outcome.
09:57Our thoughts are with Larry,
09:58who has done so much
09:59to put this team,

10:04to the last chance qualifier.

11:12No, you know, erratic movement.
11:14He's not on the throttle
11:15too hard.
11:16He's just letting the
11:17motorcycle's natural momentum
11:18carry him through the corner.
11:20And you see Malcolm Stewart
11:21there pulling in.
11:22He's had a rough go here.
11:24But back to Kenny,
11:25just see him roll
11:25through the corner
11:26because there's simply
11:27not enough traction
11:28to be aggressive.
11:29And he understands
11:31that it is such a strength
11:32of his.
11:33And then you just saw him
11:34blast through those loops too.
11:35He is entering the loops
11:36with so much speed.
11:38It's just so hard to deal
11:39with that combination
11:40of skill set
11:41that Ken Rockson just played.
11:43Yeah, and he's so good
11:44right now being in this position
11:46and managing this race lead
11:48right here.
11:49Probably not going 100%,
11:51maybe 90, 93%,
11:53and just doing what he has to do
11:55to maintain that gap
11:56between himself
11:57and Hunter Lawrence.

12:44when they chipped

12:47think of that as a win.
12:48He said, this is part
12:49of our plan.
12:50If we are gaining
12:51on that front runner,
12:52then we are winning.
12:53And then again,
12:54here tonight, a second.
12:55Doesn't look like
12:56it's going to be the win,
12:57but he will leave
12:58as the points leader.

13:02Hunter believes in it.

13:06that that win surely

13:13seven guys that can win
13:14on any given night.
13:16Wins are definitely
13:17important, but I think
13:18consistency is important.
13:20And what you were
13:21just talking about,
13:22if Hunter is able
13:23to maintain this position
13:24and leaves her
13:25with the red plate,
13:26that's case in point
13:27right there,
13:28that consistency is key
13:30over the importance
13:32of wins.
13:33Now, if there was
13:34less depth,
13:35then those wins
13:36become a little bit
13:37more important
13:38rather than consistency
13:39and knocking out
13:40those second places
13:41and third places
13:42every single weekend.
13:44So, the win is going
13:45to come.

18:37to the depth

20:42we know how strong
20:44Lawrence and Webb are
20:44but honestly the
20:46second half
20:46Roxson had a dial

20:48and keep being
20:50able to keep
20:50that composure
20:51the whole series
20:53if everybody
20:55stays healthy
20:56is going to be
