00:00Is being a Lego tester a real job or just an internet myth?
00:05Well, I did the testing and the digging, so you really don't have to, okay?
00:11Sort of, okay?
00:12So let me get into this real quick.
00:13The easiest way to make money with Legos is really the creator path.
00:19And how it works is Lego does have an affiliate program, and then you would create content
00:25around Legos, okay?
00:27What I would probably recommend is through a website, a blog paired with YouTube, and
00:32do them both, okay?
00:35And then you would make money when someone clicks your link and goes to the Lego affiliate
00:40program, and you get paid.
00:43You can also make money through ads, sponsorships, as well as other ways that you can actually
00:49make money on your website and your YouTube, okay?
00:53All right.
00:55So that is one option.
00:56And it definitely is real, okay?
01:01Now, another thing you might be thinking, well, why the website?
01:04Why not just YouTube?
01:05Well, they both work.
01:08And because of AI, it actually makes building a website even easier because it does all the
01:14keyword research.
01:15It can help you with SEO.
01:17It can help you put little gadgets on your website.
01:20And I'll give you just one other reason why you might want to consider a website.
01:23Well, also, you own it.
01:24You don't own a YouTube channel.
01:27See these little links here, these affiliate links?
01:29I'm using something called pretty links.
01:33And what that means is, say, if an affiliate program changes or you don't like it, you can
01:39update just one link and it changes all the links that you put everywhere.
01:45So it makes it so easy.
01:46And I do this all the time.
01:49I'll give you another story real quick, too, because I made a deal with this company, FlexJobs,
01:56right?
01:56And through MaxBounty, right?
02:00And then, but then, by one other website, they actually paid more money.
02:05So you got to be careful about some of these affiliate networks, right?
02:08So what I did was I could easily just change all the links everywhere to get a better price.
02:14And you can only do that through a website, okay?
02:16It's like a WordPress plugin.
02:19That's just one example.
02:20And there really is a lot more why you should consider a website.
02:23But they both work great, guys.
02:26And you can also tweak off into a shorter form video, sub stack.
02:31And there's a lot of ways of doing it, okay?
02:33All right, so that's the first way.
02:35Oh, also is you can actually get free Lego pieces as a creator as well.
02:42And actually, it's not easy, though, to do this.
02:45What you have to do is you have to go to this website, the Ambassador Network, and then you
02:49click on it, and if they honor you, okay, they'll actually give you free sets before
02:59they're released to the public, okay?
03:02But you do need like a history of content around Legos, and you do need some followers
03:07as well to become accepted.
03:08So it's not really easy, but it is definitely possible to get free Lego sets before they're
03:16even released if you're a creator.
03:18And that's another thing that you can do as well.
03:21All right.
03:21Now, you might have seen that there are some ads out there to actually get paid to be like
03:27a Lego tester.
03:29But there are all some scams out there, okay?
03:31So I want to let you know about some of these.
03:34The first scam is you apply, and they send you a bunch of cash, right, which sounds great
03:40to buy your testing equipment.
03:43It sounds great, but here's a scam.
03:46It looks like it's like a digital check.
03:48So you deposit it, and then it clears, and then you buy some stuff, and you're asked to
03:53send like $1,500, just an example, to the job, right?
03:59This already sounds fishy.
04:00But then three days later, the bank realized the check was fake.
04:05You lose the money, and the scammer gets $1,500.
04:08That's crazy, right?
04:10It's not like a bizarre scam.
04:12Or the task scam.
04:14There's an ad where you review like 20 or 40 Lego sets a day.
04:19The first, you get paid a little bit of cash, and then to unlock higher levels, you have
04:23to deposit some money.
04:24And once you deposit the money, the job disappears.
04:29That's crazy, right?
04:30And the last one is identity scam.
04:32I mean, if you're doing interviews through some weird channel, they can steal some of
04:38your information to sell or something like that.
04:41So you have to be on the lookout for.
04:44They do exist.
04:46All right.

04:53Now, another thing you could do is the corporate careers of remote testing.
04:57And this is very, very hard to get, but it is real.
05:00And you can't work from home.
05:03You have to go to like one of these cities.
05:05And it's a very serious role.
05:07Like you need a degree.
05:08Okay.
05:09But you make like a ton of money, like 50 to 100 grand a year.
05:12But yeah, like a degree in engineering.
05:16And what you're doing is you're not just playing with Legos.
05:18I mean, you're doing like stress testing, bug reporting, ensuring everything's accurate,
05:23ensuring it works.
05:24And these are the steps to get it.
05:27It's, you know, it's pretty hard to get.
05:31Now, you might be all like, oh, that's a bummer, you know.
05:33But the good news is there are similar jobs out there that you can have a lot of fun and
05:39you can work from home.
05:39And I'll just give you one example of this is software testing.
05:44And basically get paid to play video games.
05:46There's more to that than that, though.
05:49But you have to do like detailed reporting.
05:51You hunt for bugs.
05:53You follow instructions.
05:54You want more testing to ensure everything fixes.
05:57And you don't need a degree to do this.
06:00But you have to be like really attentive to details and think about how things might break
06:05and try to break them.
06:07But yeah, you can make some pretty good cash, you know, $22, $26 an hour from home.
06:12And that's just one.
06:13And there really are lots of like legit work from home jobs out there.
06:17Obviously, some are bullshit and scams as well.
