10:00Influencing our habits and emotional reaction with, you know, like you see
10:05so used to react like that. You heard that saying, I'm so used.
10:08It's just a reflex. That's what
10:10it means. That is why scripture tells us to guard our hearts and minds.
10:15Not because God is harsh or is trying to control you like puppet, but because
10:20he knows that hidden thoughts patterns eventually become
10:25visible behavior, right? Very, very, um,
10:30you really need to think about that. I'll give you a life analogy that makes
10:34it a little bit easier.
10:35Like the roots of a tree determined the health of its fruit.
10:40Unseen thoughts, life-shaped, visible actions. You will see
10:45them by their fruit. You will know them by their fruit. Sorry. Number three, focus
10:50and mental direction. Okay. So peace is closely
10:55linked to where the mind is focused. Colossians 3 verse 2.
11:00Isaiah 26 verse 3. Philippians 4 verse 8 amongst others. Let me read
11:05Isaiah 26 verse 3 in the Amplified Classic. You will guard him and keep
11:10him in perfect and constant peace, whose mind both its
11:15inclination and its character is stayed on you because he can
11:20commit himself to you, leans on you and hopes confidently in you.
11:25Peace in scripture is not just a feeling that appears randomly.
11:30eyebrows from what the mind is steadily focused on.
11:33It flows
11:35nations
11:36organisations
11:43liments
11:45learn
11:46you
11:48jump
11:51website
11:55website
11:56online
11:56attention and trust, he invites us to actively look.
12:01To him, to trust his goodness and to return our thoughts.
12:06To him, when they wander, as we do this, his peace guards our hearts.
12:11And minds, not as magic, but as the natural fruit of a mind.

13:01Scripture acknowledges fear and anxiety, but responds to them with practices like.
13:06Prayer, thanksgiving and trusting God.
13:09Like we've been preaching so far.
13:11Philippians chapter four, verse six to seven, two Timothy one, seven and.
13:16Psalm 94, verse 19, all the scripture that confirms it.
13:21Now the word of.
13:21God does not shame us when we are anxious.
13:24Instant.
13:26God.
13:26Invite us into a peace that protects both heart and mind.
13:31See, I'll give you an.
13:31Example, Peter failed twice out of fear in the Bible when you read about, if you read about Peter.
13:36When he sank after walking on water, Matthew chapter 14, 30 to 30.
13:41And when he denied Jesus later needing restoration, John chapter 21.
13:46Verse 15 to 17.
13:48Yet we all know Jesus did not respond with condemnation.
13:51But with rescue, love and restoration.
13:56Showing that Peter was still welcome and cold.
14:00He's cold as.
14:01Saying that for those who are not Christian, like he's calling for what he needs to do.
14:06In ministry wise, despite his fear and failure.
14:10Now Jesus is not.
14:11Disappointed in Peter's fear.
14:15He was not even focusing on that.
14:16He.
14:16He is committed to Peter's growth.
14:20See, the part of it is this.
14:21When someone does something that disappoints us, most of the time we tend to.
14:26Focus on the disappointment.
14:28But Jesus is different.
14:31He.
14:31sees hope in us when we don't see hope.
14:34And he focuses on the growth of it.
14:36Now neuroscience notes the calming reflective practices.
14:41Is that calming reflective practices can regulate the body's.
14:46Stress response.
14:48In a similar way, a scripture offers a path of.
14:51Relational trust in God.
14:55Very important.
14:56Not just reading the Bible.
14:56It has to be a relational wise.
14:59Relational trust in God.

15:01Honest prayer as God's way of restoring inner peace.
15:05So if you want inner peace.
15:06This is the way to go.
15:08Life analogy for this one is this.
15:11Like a child.
15:11Calming down when held by a parent.
15:15Peace often comes through.
15:16Nearest.
15:18Nearness.
15:18Sorry.
15:19Not explanation.
15:21So.
15:21So in this section, I want to mention this.

15:26Holy Spirit will focus on the solution.
15:31To the root of the problem.

15:35We tend to focus on.
15:36Focus, which is a religious, traditional condemnation sort of attitude.

15:41Focus on the outward action.
15:44What somebody's done bad.
15:46But if you focus on that.
15:49That person will never get out of that cycle.
15:51God.
15:51The way he focuses is on the solution.
15:56To the root of the problem.
15:59So he will recognize the root of the problem.
16:01And then he will focus on that solution.
16:04On applying that solution.
16:05To that person's life.
16:06So that person can walk in freedom.
16:09That's how God wants us to walk in.
16:11That's how.
16:11He wants us to look at our brothers and sisters.

16:16As a life analogy for that bit.

17:42to align with God's ways,
17:43like saying no to impulses or
17:47yes to prayer.
17:48Over time, these repeated acts
17:52builds not just habits or vices,
17:55but a transition.
17:57transformed character that reflects

18:07improves with repeated effort,

18:17It is training that leads to freedom,

18:47identity and belief systems.
18:49We are called to think according
18:52to who we are in Christ,
18:54not according to fear or past fear.
18:57We often repeat the same negative cycle or responses
19:02which shaped by past trauma,
19:04that colors how we perceive and identify things.
19:07things in life.
19:08In some cases, even after deliverance,
19:11like George was saying,
19:12and
19:12by the way, we didn't plan the things that he said before.
19:15In some cases,
19:17even after deliverance or breakthroughs,
19:19without a renewed mind rooted in us,
19:22our identity in Christ,
19:23we tend to return to all patterns.
19:27True lasting change comes only through the transformative power of

19:37beliefs shape long-term thinking patterns.
