00:00But Josh Allen did his job trailing late, takes the Buffalo Bills on a long drive, gets the touchdown, and the Buffalo Bills take care of business after the interception against Trevor Lawrence on their final attempt to come back and win the game.
00:15And now Josh Allen's done something that the Buffalo Bills franchise has not done since 1992, and that's win a road playoff game, so congratulations in Buffalo.
00:23But is that enough? Can we now look at Josh Allen, and should he lose in the divisional round of the playoffs, as opposed to the wild card round of the playoffs, can we now say that Josh Allen should be talked about like one of the three great quarterbacks of his generation?
00:39Can you mention him now in the same breath as Joe Burrow? Smoke it on that Joe Burrow.
00:44Can you mention him now in the same breath as a Patrick Mahomes? I think the answer is a resounding no.
00:53You can. Is he a great quarterback? Yes. Is he top three now? Yes. Legacy-wise, he still trails behind, obviously, the greatness of Mahomes with the three Super Bowl rings.
01:06And even Joe Burrow, smoking on that Joe Burrow, has gotten to a Super Bowl. Go.
01:11Yeah, my answer isn't no, it's hell no.
01:14Hell no.
01:14And here's why.
01:15Hell no.
01:16You won at Jacksonville. That's not significant, so much so that they always farm out one of their home games every year.
01:23To Europe, because fans don't show up.
01:25The other thing, he beat Trevor Lawrence. No disrespect to young Trevor Lawrence.
01:28Had a good year, Trevor Lawrence.
01:28Who had a very good year, but he doesn't have the playoff pedigree of the guys necessary.
01:34No, I think he has one playoff win, and that was the great comeback against the Chargers for his back.
01:38And you talked about, when you mentioned Jalen Hurts, the significance of Hurts playing well in the Super Bowl is that he's going up against Patrick Mahomes, not Trevor Lawrence.
01:48So, hell no.
01:49And I'm going to say this, it's not enough to just beat Denver either.
01:53That's not enough.
01:54If you're truly great, the way these Buffalo fans think he is.
01:58Yeah.
01:59And you used a play that you think should be illegal, so already I question all of your morality and your scruples in Buffalo.
02:05But absolutely not, it's not enough to beat Denver either.
02:10Let's say they go into Denver, Denver's the one seed.
02:12Uh-huh.
02:12If Josh Allen and the Bills, the favorite by point, point it right.
02:16But they're not your favorite.
02:17That's all right.
02:18So, Josh Allen's getting all the love and respect from Vegas.
02:21If they go into Denver as a one-point favorite, and they beat Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos, and get to the AFC Championship game, at that point, has he done?
02:31Hell no, you beat Bo Nix and you beat Denver again, no pedigree.
02:36Right.
02:36Because of this wide-open AFC.
02:39And by the way, Bo Nix is only in his second year.
02:41Right.
02:41This is not a big thing.
02:42And even if you beat, after that, whoever you pick.
02:47Well, it's going to either be New England or the winner of tonight's game, Houston and Texas.
02:51Yeah, because Drake May has a ton of playoff pedigree.
02:53He has tons of playoff pedigree.
02:54No, he has to get to the Super Bowl, or none of this matters, because he's supposed to be great.
03:02He's supposed to be great.
03:03Yeah, by the way, I think if the road to the Super Bowl is you beat Trevor Lawrence, Bo Nix, and let's just say Drake May.
03:12Yeah.
03:13Because that way it goes by seeding, right?
03:15And then you get to the Super Bowl.
03:16Mm-hmm.
03:17One could say you went up against the easiest group of quarterbacks any other great quarterback has gone up against.
03:24Now, it's not going to be remembered that way.
03:26As long as you get there and win, that's all anybody remembers.
03:29Uh-huh.
03:29The flip side of that is the Denver Broncos defense is a top five defense in the league.
03:35It is.
03:35So you're not really playing against Bo Nix.
03:37You're playing against a great defense and one of the great cornerbacks in Sertain in the NFL.
03:42That's fair.
03:43Right?
03:43Excellent defensive tackle as well.
03:45If you then beat the Texans, assuming they beat New England, first beat Pittsburgh, then New England,
03:50you'd be going up against the best defense in football to get to the Super Bowl.
03:55Yeah.
03:55I think at that point, your legacy is solid.
03:59I don't think you have to win the Super Bowl, but I'm with you.
