00:00Man, Josh Allen, unbelievable, 334 yards, four total touchdowns in the ball game.
00:06And, Kevin, I mean, you talk about the best player in the National Football League,
00:11maybe at the most important position in the NFL, or at least one of the top three guys.
00:15He goes into Houston, a number one ranked defense that gave up 274 yards in total defense a year ago.
00:22And he just was all over the place.
00:24What a thrilling game and a big win going into Houston.
00:28You ended up with a full Josh experience as well on the game-winning touchdown drive
00:33because the pass before, he nearly threw the game away.
00:38And I was like, because they only needed the field goal, right?
00:40You're like, what are you doing?
00:41And then he just does it again, but this time it's the touchdown.
00:45So this was, I had two favorite bets of the whole weekend.
00:51And I'm always honest, Dan, my most favorite was Cleveland to cover.
00:55And I'm just, you know, I told my dad that, and he went, nah, come on, kid, that's a bad
01:02pick.
01:02All right, dad, bro, you know what?
01:04Like, he's beating me up.
01:05I'm like, all right.
01:07My other, though, was the over here in Buffalo, Houston.
01:11And one of the main reasons was listening to Bills fans talk about this game
01:20because they were running scared.
01:23They're like, man, hopefully we can win defense.
01:25You know, CJ Stroud's not all that good.
01:26They didn't trust their guy in this spot because they were rattled by what's happened,
01:32not just like what Texans do to the other teams, like what they've done to him specifically.
01:38Because, you know, these teams have kind of routinely been, you know,
01:41at or the top of their division.
01:43Last year, Josh, or two years ago, I know he played Houston,
01:46and it went very, very poorly for him.
01:48So there was some real panic.
01:51And I'm like, I can't believe we're going to get to buy low on Josh Allen.
01:54Like, he's going to put points up here.
01:56And then postgame, all the reports come out about how the Bills were licking their chops
02:02to prove a point that they could score on this team.
02:06And I'm not surprised Houston did their part on the total
02:09because I do not think the Bills defense is going to be very good this year.
02:12I think Bills games will look more like this
02:15than maybe some people kind of are expecting.
02:18So, yes, awesome performance by Josh.
02:20Kind of the full Josh Allen experience.
02:22He's the highest floor quarterback in football right now.
02:27And obviously, he can hit incredible ceilings as well.
02:31That's a great, great start to their season.
02:34How about this, too, in a decision that they made?
02:37Brandon, being the general manager, gets a lot of heat
02:42for some of the decisions that they've made, especially in the draft.
02:45How about the decision to elevate Joe Brady to the head coaching position?
02:50That may be the move of the year, Kev.
02:52You know, we talked about Ben Johnson and what he meant to Caleb Williams
02:57and what he's done in the development,
02:59and also what he meant when it came to, say, a Jared Goff when he was in Detroit.
03:04Great.
03:05We're kind of seeing a little bit of that now, too.
03:08And to keep Allen in that comfort zone,
03:10this could end up being at the end of the year,
03:12especially if they make it to the Super Bowl.
03:14This could be the move of the year by elevating a very successful coach, right?
03:19McDermott had won a boatload of football games there in Buffalo.
03:22And if this turns out, this could be the move of the year.
03:27Yes.
03:30I think it's Gruden, last guy to win, you know, in his first year, right?
03:37So maybe Brady's Gruden, right?
03:41Like a Hall of Fame caliber head coach.
03:43I will always be skeptical of that.
03:45I actually think it's one of the things, Dan,
03:47that makes the AFC so fascinating this year,
03:49is that because Lamar was awesome as well against Indianapolis,
03:52right?
03:53I mean, he threw for 300.
03:54He didn't even feel like it.
03:55He threw for 300 yards in that game.
03:56You know, had the rushing touchdown.
03:59But he's got a brand new head coach.
04:01And not just like a brand new, like a year one head coach.
04:05So either we're going to get one of these guys breaking through,
04:08which is still insane that neither one of them have played in the Super Bowl yet,
04:13or you get a Texans, a Broncos, a Chiefs,
04:17to kind of, you know, sneak in as Brady and Minter
04:21set their feet up in new locations or new positions.
04:25questions.
