00:00We're close on 700 today and probably been pretty lucky with the weather like it was supposed to be
00:06stinker night and we got away with it yesterday and again today. The job itself, steers were
00:12obviously back a bit on the last sale which is to be expected. Heifer's surprised enough, I thought
00:17a bit erratic but not far off firm from last time and probably held up at the heavy end by those
00:22blokes maybe chasing quality breeders but I'll throw it across to Willow to do the steers first.
00:28Thanks Danny. The heavy feeder job today, 400 plus kilos, 400 to 500 kilos, was sort of $4.50
00:36to $4.70 a kilo to average around the $4.60. So that's probably back 20 to 30 cents on market on
00:42market but that's similar to where we thought the market was going to be today. At $3.30 to $4.00,
00:48we were $4.80 to $5.30 there on a top. Those black weaned well-presented calves saw the premium today,
00:57they were sort of around that $5.30 mark to average that $5.00 a kilo. So a good result there.
01:02And $2.80 to $3.30 stepping down in weight range there and we averaged $5.10. But once again,
01:08those well-presented calves saw a premium of the $5.40 today. And then we only had a few lighter
01:14calves in today. The presentation of the calves was probably a little bit heavier than sale on sale. So
01:20we only had a few lighter calves to quote there today, but they were averaging around $5.30.
01:24The heavy reached those heaps at 400 to 500 kg. I think those fellas chosen quality breeders
01:31competing in the feedlotters and they pushed that job up a bit. And those four to five umbers averaged
01:35around that $4.60. Your 330 to 400 kilos range from 420 to 460 and probably averaged about $4.30.
01:44So they were probably back a bit. And then anything sub 300 kilos were roughly around about that $4.70 a kilo.
01:52So erratic for firm is probably the best way to describe the heather job.
