Elders Strathalbyn agent Brett Peters wraps up the sale.
Transcript
00:00The job was very strong ride over. We had approximately 700 cattle in here today.
00:04All weights were probably displayed today. Didn't have big numbers of any certain category,
00:09just a bit of everything, right through some heavy heifers as well, as long as light stuff.
00:14Yeah, so it was still a very good yarding for June time.
00:17The heavy cattle, there was probably two or three feedlot people that locked horns there,
00:22and they would have been well and truly dearer than the last sale.
00:26I would have put maybe $0.20 or $0.30 up, and I think most of those heavier cattle would
00:30have been in that $5.40 to $5.60,
00:32and maybe even a tad better at times, but very pleased and definitely dearer than the last sale.
00:36The heifers again, they were dearer than the last sale, and they could have been $0.20, $0.30 again
00:41up on life.
00:42I know there's plenty of heifers making well above $5, $5.20, $5.40 too, so a very pleasing result
00:48on the heavy stuff.
00:50The lighter stuff, the lighter steers, they were definitely dearer again this week,
00:54and some of them would have been pushing either side of $6 and well over $6 at times.
00:59A lot of people went home shaking their heads and didn't get any.
01:02I know that for a while.
01:03There was a few comments made in the gallery as well.
01:05In general, a very good result for all vendors today.
01:08Right, today's $24.40.
