The Ministry of Education is reporting a smooth and successful start to Term Two of the 2025–2026 academic year, with schools reopening on schedule and no major disruptions recorded nationwide.

00:00Teaching and learning resumed on schedule today at early childhood, primary and secondary schools across the country.
00:07The Ministry of Education says 82 infrastructure projects were approved and completed during the December to January vacation period,
00:17including 35 under the Vacation Repairs Program and 47 emergency works at ECCE centers and schools.
00:25The repairs covered roofs, ceilings, drainage and sewer systems, washroom facilities, air conditioning units, water lines and electrical infrastructure.
00:36The work was carried out in collaboration with the National Maintenance Training Services.
00:41Meanwhile, the National Schools Dietary Services Limited also resumed operations on Monday.
00:46The Ministry reports that about 62,000 breakfasts and 75,000 lunches were delivered to students with 67 school kitchens fully operational nationwide.
00:58Education Minister Dr. Michael Dowlatt says the coordinated efforts allowed schools to reopen without significant interruption
01:05and noted that monitoring and support systems remain in place to address any issues that may arise during the term.
01:13The Ministry is encouraging parents and guardians to remain engaged with schools and to support regular attendance as the academic year continues.
