The issue of Teachers Leave Classification in Tobago is being dealt with by the Ministry of Education. This from Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Claudelle McKellar.
00:00That process is very much well on the way. What we have done so far is to prepare a draft order, right, and that has been submitted to the Office of the Attorney General for review and positive vetting. Once that is done and the Office of the Attorney General has no objection, the Minister of Education will then take that order to Cabinet via Cabinet Note for approval and thereby we would be able to delegate the function to the Tobago House of Assembly.
00:28Currently the leave no longer comes to Trinidad, they are here in Tobago with us, so we are just holding on to the completion of that process and then we are going to go full speed.
00:37So the process is well on its way to completion.
