00:00All right, as always, you can go to YouTube channel My Medical Nightmare and see 40 plus
00:07hours video on everything that happened to me.
00:10All right, update on the business practices of Alabama-based Birmingham Radiological Group.
00:16They claim to have 45 radiologists on the payroll and are composed of doctors that examine
00:22MRI, x-rays, and CT imagery.
00:26Many doctors and medical practices in the Birmingham area rely on their services, and
00:32you may be surprised if you went to see a doctor and had an MRI, CT, or x-ray in the
00:38Birmingham area.
00:39A BRG, Birmingham Radiological Group doctor, may have examined your images, and you may
00:45not be aware of it until later.
00:47I was a customer and patient of Birmingham Radiological Group in 2018 and 2019.
00:53I had three of their doctors look at MRI, CT, and x-ray of a major injury that I had in
01:01my head.
01:01I almost died from this.
01:03These doctors wrote in their reports that I had no injury present.
01:07I knew otherwise.
01:08Went and got the pictures.
01:10I'll put the pictures up here yet again.
01:13And what is clearly visible at this time, when I was being told these falsehoods, was that
01:19around six inches in diameter of infection appears inside my head.
01:24I'd actually broken my skull in the basilar area in the region of the occipital condyle
01:30and condular canal.
01:31My issues are unresolved outstanding as it relates to Birmingham Radiological Group doctors,
01:38Angus Baird, M.D., Julian Patrick Druhan, M.D., and Donald Shane Kelly, M.D.
01:44In my own case, they were doing work for American Health Imaging and St. Vincent's Hospital, then
01:52owned by Ascension.
01:53Recently, this has been rebranded and acquired by UAB, University of Alabama at Birmingham.
02:00Later in the video, I'll go into detail more about what happened to me.
02:04All right.
02:05If you type in Birmingham Radiological Group into the Google search engine, look on the
02:10right-hand side of the search results and find where it says reviews.
02:16Click on the reviews.
02:17Clarify your search terms to show the newest or most recent reviews, and you'll find this
02:24one.
02:24This comes courtesy of a patient and customer who has had enough of the shenanigans of
02:29these radiologists, and he announces a lawsuit and a civil court will be forthcoming.
02:36This appears to have been posted back in September 25.
02:41It reads, it goes to show you that when you have insurance, they want more instead of charging
02:45your insurance for services.
02:47They turn your bill over to a collection agency and try to get more.
02:53Well, now I have an attorney, and I'm suing you all for $30,000 for damages and stress
02:59from your behalf.
03:00It's good to see people out there coming off the sidelines and not taking the tactics of
03:06these bullies.
03:07These people are recognized as community leaders and looked up to as healers, and my own belief
03:14is that the public is disillusioned to the reality.
03:18They think these people are compassionate.
03:21They're out there to be helpful.
03:22My own experience is this could be further from the case.
03:26They're interested in your money, and they will do and say anything in order to get it.
03:32Birmingham Radiological Group and their doctors, they are not trustworthy.
03:36They are not professional.
03:38I called the CEO, Doyle Stewart, and he told me in a recorded phone call that he was not
03:42going to help me get my own images looked at again or to correct the errors of their doctors.
03:49Do some searches around the internet.
03:51Look at the reviews at the Better Business Bureau website.
03:55Look at the reviews on Google.
03:57Look at the reviews of the employees on Indeed.com, for example.
04:02There are more and more instances of people having problems with this company and their doctors.
04:08Birmingham, Alabama is no stranger to nationwide corruption cases in the medical business sector.
04:17This city is where the Health South scandal played out nearly 20 years ago.
04:24But there is a far greater medical corruption matter brewing, and it involves the Ascension
04:33health care system.
04:35According to Wikipedia, they operate 2,600 health care sites in 19 states and Washington, D.C.
04:43in the United States of America, including 142 hospitals.
04:48They employ 142,000 people as of 2021.
04:55Ascension is a large medical industry player in the Birmingham, Alabama area.
05:03And thanks to Ascension, they have given privileges for people to operate as doctors, nurses,
05:11and other medical staff who have no business going near a mop and a broom in a doctor's office or a hospital.
05:21Patients who wind up in Ascension facilities and in front of Ascension employees who are indigent,
05:30have no source of income or insurance, are especially vulnerable, and they're being taken advantage of.
05:37They're routinely paying what little money they can come up with for a medical examination,
05:44and they're getting patient dumped and misdiagnosed on purpose regularly.
05:51This is medical fraud.
05:53There's criminal conspiracy involved.
05:55In and around Birmingham, you'll find many private medical businesses who owe their existence
06:03solely to business generated through Ascension and their various other holdings, including St. Vincent's Hospital.
06:13I was a patient at Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital in 2019,
06:20and I found myself a victim of a string of unexplainable misdiagnoses,
06:27as well as patient dumping.
06:30When I took these issues to the doctors,
06:34I found that the radiological organizations for which the radiology specialists work
06:43are a major corruption choke point in what I've just explained.
06:49Ascension and the radiological groups would not place me in contact with the doctors directly,
06:56which they should have, to clear up these issues.
07:00In my case, I broke the underside of my skull.
07:03I had four scans done, x-ray, CT, and MRI.
07:09The scans were looked at by three state of Alabama licensed medical doctors
07:14for Birmingham Radiological Group.
07:17The pictures were taken, the doctors looked at the images, issued their reports.
07:23They wrote down with their signature affixed that no injuries appeared.
07:29The diagnosis did not sit right with me because every time I would move my head just a little bit,
07:37there would be incredible pain and crunching bone.
07:41I went and got my medical records and those pictures.
07:44I'll put them in this video again.
07:48What you can see in these images is I had broken the underside of my skull,
07:52misdiagnosed from the outset, close to a year later,
07:57infection set up around the main wound that was unacknowledged.
08:01I almost died from this injury.
08:03There are other patients out there like myself who are in the process of fighting ascension.
08:10And I just wanted to take this opportunity to post again my complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
08:19So this exchange is documented through a third party.
08:23It's not hearsay.
08:25Birmingham Radiological Group, look what they wrote in response to my concerns.
08:31The woman they had issued this response, Shannon Sykes, also possesses no medical credentials or qualifications in the state of Alabama.
08:43And she did not name a so licensed individual to back up her statement.
08:50And this is very concerning and telling.
08:53Again, they've got 50 doctors on the payroll.
08:56Somebody has a question about an erroneous report that shows a very serious head trauma-based injuries that somebody could easily die from.
09:06And read carefully their response.
09:09And this response alone, this should cost Birmingham Radiological Group their operating license.
09:17And the individual doctors involved should also be punished.
09:21That's my belief.
09:23Thank you for calling Birmingham Radiological Group.
09:28Birmingham Radiological Group.
09:30May I direct your call?
09:32Yes, sir.
09:33I'm trying to have MRI sequence reread.
09:37I had an injury show up in an MRI that one of your doctors looked at.
09:41I need to have this looked at again, please.
09:45Okay.
09:46What facility or hospital did you have your MRI done?
09:49Okay, this would be American Health Imaging.
09:53And the doctor's name was Angus Baird, M.D.
09:59Okay.
10:00Well, let me connect you with our office manager.
10:02All right.
10:03May I help you?
10:04Yes, ma'am.
10:05Who am I speaking to?
10:06Thank you, Virgin.
10:09Okay.
10:09Thank you very much.
10:10Yes, ma'am.
10:11I was a patient of one of your doctors.
10:15I'm trying to have an MRI sequence reread.
10:18An injury appeared in this MRI.
10:21And I need to have the doctor take a look at it again, please.
10:24Okay.
10:27And what's your account number?
10:29This MRI that I'm calling about today, this was done at American Health Imaging.
10:35Okay.
10:36I don't handle American Health Imaging.
10:38I'm sorry.
10:39You have the wrong number.
10:40How do I get in touch with Angus Baird, M.D.?
10:42Because his phone number leads to you guys.
10:46Yeah, he is one of our doctors, but you'll have to contact him through AHI.
10:50Okay.
10:51Okay.
