00:00:00Okay, I'm going to be doing the talk in two halves tonight.

00:00:04One half will be basically a sort of meditation on certain things I've heard over the Christmas time.

00:00:10And also, in the second time, I'll be giving some application to that on what's happening in the world today.

00:00:18Start off with a couple of readings from the Gospel, Matthew chapter 1, verse 18.

00:00:26Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows.

00:00:28After his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

00:00:34And Joseph, her husband, being a just man, not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.

00:00:41But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,

00:00:45Joseph, son of Mary, do not be afraid to take to you Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

00:00:53And she will bring forth a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, Yeshua.

00:00:56Which means salvation, you shall call his name Yeshua, for he will save his people from their sins.

00:01:02So all this was done, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

00:01:08Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is translated God with us.

00:01:16And Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded to him, and took to him his wife, and did not know her,

00:01:25till she had brought forth her firstborn son, and he called his name Yeshua, Jesus.

00:01:32And just a couple of verses from chapter 2 of Luke.

00:01:35Luke, the angel speaks to the shepherds in the fields, verse 10.

00:01:48Then the angel said to them,

00:01:50Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which will be to all people.

00:01:55For is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

00:01:59This will be the sign to you, you shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, cloth and cloths, lying in a manger.

00:02:06And suddenly there was, with the angel, a multitude of the heavenly hosts, praising God and saying,

00:02:11Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.

00:02:17And so it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another,

00:02:22Let us go now to Bethlehem, and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.

00:02:29A story which we are all familiar with, which has been trotted out multitudes of times in various churches over the last few days.

00:02:39As you know, I personally believe that Jesus was most likely born at the time of the Feast of Tabernacles, round about September time.

00:02:47Nevertheless, the conception, according to my calculation, would have been round about the middle of winter,

00:02:54possibly even at the time when people celebrate Christmas.

00:02:57So you can, that was really the miracle actually, was the conception, that was supernatural.

00:03:03The birth was, as far as we know, a normal birth.

00:03:07Some have said that Mary probably didn't, may not have experienced labour pains, I don't know.

00:03:10That's an interesting theological question, as she was bringing forth the Saviour of the world.

00:03:14But we will leave that one for the moment.

00:03:16But it was a wonderful event which took place.

00:03:20And whatever the time of year, we can remember it and give thanks to the Lord for what he's done through bringing Yeshua, Jesus, into this world.

00:03:29As it's celebrated in the world, it of course comes at the middle of winter, which is the darkest time of the year.

00:03:34And along with Hanukkah, for the Jewish people, it's a time when people light either Christmas lights or candles,

00:03:40in the hope that they're lighting a bit of light into the darkness of the world.

00:03:44I'm not actually sure whether actually that light makes any difference to the darkness of the world,

00:03:48but it makes people feel good and they think they've done something to bring some sort of light into the darkness.

00:03:53But actually, it doesn't actually change anything.

00:03:59And just remembering the birth of Jesus actually doesn't change anything unless you remember the meaning of it.

00:04:07It can bring a sort of temporary peace, a temporary relief.

00:04:10Remember that in the First World War, the story from the trenches when they were Germans and the English were,

00:04:16the British were fighting each other, and the British heard the Germans singing at this time,

00:04:21Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht, Silent Night, Holy Night.

00:04:25And they joined in singing in English, and they stopped fighting for a while and went and met with each other

00:04:30and wished each other Happy Christmas, which was better than fighting each other.

00:04:34Unfortunately, it didn't last because a few days later they started fighting each other

00:04:37and killing for the next three or four years with the slaughter which remained.

00:04:43But it's a time when people think about peace and God bringing peace to the world.

00:04:47And obviously we'd rather have peace than war.

00:04:48And you hear Christmas messages about peace and love, which is much better than war and hatred.

00:04:54Hearing about reconciliation.

00:04:57But always there's something missing.

00:04:59And you get also, it's kind of brought down to a human level.

00:05:02I had a few social media posts about which turned Mary and Joseph into migrants

00:05:06and Jesus into a Palestinian suffering oppression at the hands of the Jews,

00:05:10which is pretty standard for the time of year.

00:05:13Actually, Joseph and Mary were not migrants.

00:05:15They were moving from one part of their country to another part of their country

00:05:18at the behest of the Romans who were occupying the country.

00:05:21And Jesus was certainly not a Palestinian.

00:05:23He was a Jewish person born into the line of David in the city of David in Bethlehem,

00:05:32according to prophecy, in Bethlehem, in Judea.

00:05:35Note Judea, please.

00:05:37And you get a lot of sentimental stories about the baby in the manger,

00:05:42surrounded by animals.

00:05:43There's actually nothing about the animals in the scripture.

00:05:46And it could have been a guest room rather than an inn,

00:05:50but no room in the guest room, but we won't go into that in detail.

00:05:53Whatever it was, it was a wonderful event.

00:05:56And people should remember that actually what was happening was

00:05:59the mighty God was being made flesh and dwelling amongst us

00:06:03and we should worship and believe in him.

00:06:04Also, sadly, they do use it as a stick to beat the Jewish people with.

00:06:11And I read an article which was done by the Palestinian Arab Christians

00:06:17which was celebrating the birth of Jesus

00:06:20and blaming the Jews for everything that was going wrong.

00:06:23Christian Arab leaders blamed Israel for all the troubles of the Christians.

00:06:27They accused Israel of genocide in Gaza,

00:06:30accused the Israeli army and the Jewish settlers

00:06:33of conducting a regime of terror in Judea and Samaria

00:06:35and claimed that Jewish policies are meant to Judaize Jerusalem.

00:06:40And all these things are part of the propaganda

00:06:42which you hear at this time of year.

00:06:44And they read as if the only obstacle to peace

00:06:47and Christians flourishing in the land of Israel

00:06:50is the Jewish state of Israel.

00:06:52Actually, I don't know if you've been to Bethlehem

00:06:56or you know much about the history of that

00:06:57but the only place in the Middle East

00:06:59where the Christian population is actually growing

00:07:02is inside Israel, the proper state of Israel

00:07:06not in the Palestinian areas or the West Bank.

00:07:10In fact, inside the Palestinian areas

00:07:12you'll find that the Palestinian, the Christian population

00:07:16which in 1950 was estimated about 80% of the population

00:07:22now it's less than 10%.

00:07:25And in cities like Janine and in Bethlehem and in Gaza

00:07:30Christians live in fear of the Muslim majorities

00:07:33that have grown increasingly radicalized and anti-Christian.

00:07:37And Palestinian Christians are actually fleeing

00:07:39primarily because of intimidation, land theft

00:07:43theft and Islamist threats

00:07:45not because of Israeli policies.

00:07:47So if you hear stuff about Israel

00:07:49being the cause of the suffering of the Arab Christians

00:07:51don't believe it

00:07:52it's the Muslims who are the cause of the problem.

00:07:56And Bethlehem has changed its ethnic

00:07:59or its religious identity

00:08:00from being majority Christian

00:08:02now to being majority Muslim

00:08:04because the Muslims have pushed out

00:08:05the Arab Christians from Bethlehem.

00:08:09And those Christian leaders should actually

00:08:13the reason why they say these things, by the way

00:08:15is because they have to keep in

00:08:16with the Palestinian authorities

00:08:17because otherwise they might find themselves

00:08:19in even more trouble than they're in already.

00:08:21But it'd be good if some of them

00:08:22actually stood up for the truth

00:08:23and said that the problems are caused

00:08:25by the Islamist hatred of Israel

00:08:27and the propaganda against Israel

00:08:29and stood up for the truth

00:08:31instead of parroting the party line.

00:08:35But you can understand why they do it

00:08:36because they have to do it

00:08:37they have to say these things

00:08:38in order to keep in with the authorities.

00:08:40Which we shouldn't do actually

00:08:41we should stand up for the truth

00:08:42whatever the authorities are saying.

00:08:45Okay, they weren't the only ones

00:08:46King Charles gave a Christmas message

00:08:49anyone hear King Charles' Christmas message?

00:08:51Yeah, okay.

00:08:53Right, well, yeah.

00:08:56Positively, he did describe Jesus

00:08:57as the saviour of the world.

00:09:00He also said that we need for peace

00:09:01and reconciliation, which we do.

00:09:05Negatively, the question was

00:09:06save us from what?

00:09:08There was no idea of how to find peace

00:09:10and reconciliation with God

00:09:12and what the birth, the life, death

00:09:15and resurrection of Jesus

00:09:15is really all about.

00:09:17He's the saviour

00:09:18but what's he saving us from?

00:09:21And if you don't understand that

00:09:22then the message is a bit empty.

00:09:25He began the talk by speaking about

00:09:27praying with the Pope

00:09:28as a historic moment of spiritual unity.

00:09:30Now, Charles is actually the nominal head

00:09:33of the Church of England.

00:09:35Church of England broke with the Church of Rome

00:09:36about 500 years ago

00:09:38and since that time

00:09:39there's never been a time

00:09:40when the head of the Church of England

00:09:42has prayed with the Pope of Rome.

00:09:44This was the first time this happened

00:09:46so this was a real first

00:09:47in bringing together these two churches.

00:09:50Which would be a good thing, wouldn't it?

00:09:51Bring them two together.

00:09:53Would it be a good thing?

00:09:54No, it wouldn't be a good thing, would it?

00:09:57Problem is that

00:09:58the Church of England

00:09:59although it has its faults

00:10:00and there are many of them

00:10:02especially today

00:10:03if you look at its foundation

00:10:04you find that the 39 articles

00:10:06of the Church of England

00:10:07are mostly scriptural and biblical

00:10:09founded on Protestant principles

00:10:12salvation through faith in Christ alone

00:10:14by grace alone

00:10:15through scripture alone

00:10:16all things were denied

00:10:18by the Church of Rome.

00:10:19Church of Rome has erected a work system

00:10:22which really denies the gospel

00:10:24and also elevates Mary

00:10:26to redemptive status

00:10:28so you can pray to Mary

00:10:30to forgive your sins

00:10:31ask Mary, Hail Mary, full of grace

00:10:33to forgive us

00:10:35and to bring us right with God

00:10:37well Mary can't do that

00:10:38Mary's in heaven

00:10:39because she is saved

00:10:40she's believed in God as saviour

00:10:41but she's not a mediator

00:10:43we can't approach God as a mediator

00:10:45and the Roman Catholic Church

00:10:46has actually put Mary

00:10:48in a place alongside Jesus

00:10:49as a mediator

00:10:50which is a denial of the truth

00:10:52because Jesus is the one way to God

00:10:54and he's the only one

00:10:55who can bring us

00:10:56into a relationship with God

00:10:58so basically

00:11:00Charles praying with the Pope

00:11:02was not a spiritual unity

00:11:03in the gospel

00:11:04it was a unity in the dark

00:11:05and we need to have

00:11:07a unity in the truth

00:11:08which is that

00:11:09you should call his name Yeshua

00:11:11for he will save his people

00:11:13from their sins

00:11:14and there was nothing about

00:11:15saving us from our sins

00:11:16he spoke about a journey of faith

00:11:19through which people coming to Jesus

00:11:20i.e. the wise men

00:11:22and the shepherds

00:11:22he said

00:11:23face physical and mental challenge

00:11:25and they found inner strength

00:11:27to overcome it

00:11:28again that's an interesting statement

00:11:31but if you look at what

00:11:32Jesus is actually offering us

00:11:33he's not offering us

00:11:34inner strength

00:11:35to overcome our challenges

00:11:36he's offering us

00:11:38a new birth

00:11:39and strength coming

00:11:40not from ourselves

00:11:41but from outside

00:11:42by the Holy Spirit

00:11:43coming into our lives

00:11:44and giving us the strength

00:11:45to follow God

00:11:46if you look for strength

00:11:47within ourselves

00:11:48that's the kind of idea

00:11:49you have in yoga

00:11:50and also in humanism

00:11:51that you find

00:11:52that man has his own salvation

00:11:55and if you look within yourselves

00:11:57as Paul says

00:11:58I know that in myself

00:11:59in my own flesh

00:12:01there was no good thing

00:12:02so we need to be set free

00:12:04from ourselves

00:12:04to be set free

00:12:05to have God coming to us

00:12:07from outside

00:12:08and that's why Jesus

00:12:09came to save us

00:12:10from ourselves

00:12:11from our sins

00:12:12to give us new life

00:12:12in Jesus

00:12:13he also went on

00:12:15to speak about

00:12:16the great diversity

00:12:17of our communities

00:12:17through which we can find

00:12:18the strength

00:12:19to ensure that right

00:12:20triumphs over wrong

00:12:21okay so the diversity

00:12:24of our communities

00:12:25gives us the strength

00:12:26so that right

00:12:26will triumph over wrong

00:12:27is that true?

00:12:30you're all shaking your heads

00:12:31I don't think you're a believer

00:12:32in our king

00:12:34well hopefully in our king Jesus

00:12:36but not king Charles

00:12:37okay yeah well

00:12:40in fact there's no reason

00:12:42why diversity in itself

00:12:44should help

00:12:45in right triumphing over wrong

00:12:47for right to triumph

00:12:49over wrong

00:12:49we need to have faith

00:12:51in action

00:12:51which comes through

00:12:52faith in God

00:12:53who gives us the knowledge

00:12:54of good and evil

00:12:55which is to be found

00:12:56in the words of the Bible

00:12:58we need biblical truth

00:13:00and morality

00:13:00founded in God's commands

00:13:02not the relative values

00:13:04of diversity

00:13:04and humanism

00:13:06and if you look

00:13:07behind the message

00:13:07which comes out

00:13:09of a lot of the church

00:13:10actually as well

00:13:11as what Charles

00:13:11was saying

00:13:12there's a message

00:13:12that somehow

00:13:13through humanism

00:13:14through our own strength

00:13:15we're going to find

00:13:16the way to overcome

00:13:17the Bible says we're not

00:13:18we need the strength

00:13:19which comes from outside of us

00:13:20through faith in Jesus

00:13:22he went on to say

00:13:25it seems to me

00:13:25that we need to cherish

00:13:26the values of compassion

00:13:27and reconciliation

00:13:28the way our Lord

00:13:29lived and died

00:13:30as I meet with people

00:13:31of different faiths

00:13:32I find it enormously

00:13:33encouraging

00:13:33to hear how much

00:13:35we have in common

00:13:36a shared longing

00:13:37for peace

00:13:37and a deep respect

00:13:38for all life

00:13:39if we can find time

00:13:40in our journey

00:13:41through life

00:13:42to think on these things

00:13:43we can all make

00:13:44the future more hopeful

00:13:45okay well

00:13:47compassion and reconciliation

00:13:49are very important values

00:13:50they're important to us

00:13:51we should have compassion

00:13:52on all people

00:13:53for God so loved the world

00:13:55that he gave his only begotten son

00:13:56that whoever believes in him

00:13:57should not perish

00:13:58but have everlasting life

00:13:59that includes everybody

00:14:00includes the people inside

00:14:02and the people outside the world

00:14:03we should have love

00:14:04and compassion for them

00:14:05we should seek to live in harmony

00:14:08and reconciliation

00:14:09with all people

00:14:10whether they believe

00:14:11what we believe or not

00:14:12we should not be the ones

00:14:14who try to make trouble

00:14:15and division and strife

00:14:16in our society

00:14:17but the purpose

00:14:18of the Lord coming

00:14:19and his life and death

00:14:21was to bring us

00:14:22reconciliation with God

00:14:23first of all

00:14:26you've got to put

00:14:26the reconciliation right

00:14:28on the vertical

00:14:29before you get it right

00:14:30on the horizontal

00:14:31and there was no message

00:14:32of that at all

00:14:33in what Charles said

00:14:35and what a lot of the church

00:14:36says at this time of year

00:14:37we need to have repentance

00:14:39from sin and new birth

00:14:40through faith in Jesus Christ

00:14:42and diversity does not

00:14:45bring this about

00:14:46in fact diversity

00:14:48ultimately actually begins

00:14:50division in society

00:14:51people are divided

00:14:53by language

00:14:54by culture

00:14:54by religion

00:14:55and also it means

00:14:57that diverse religions

00:14:58different religions

00:14:59are considered to be

00:15:00equal in value

00:15:01to each other

00:15:02and this is where

00:15:03the real problem comes

00:15:04as far as

00:15:04if you're a Bible believer

00:15:06is concerned

00:15:06you can have love

00:15:08in your heart

00:15:09for unbelievers

00:15:10whether they're Muslims

00:15:11or Hindus

00:15:11or nominal Christians

00:15:13or atheists

00:15:14but you don't put

00:15:16their beliefs

00:15:16on the same level

00:15:17as what we believe

00:15:18and that's what

00:15:19they're asking us to do

00:15:20that's what Charles

00:15:20is actually asking us to do

00:15:21to say that all these

00:15:23religions have got

00:15:23something in common

00:15:24they're all seeking

00:15:25for peace

00:15:25they're all seeking

00:15:25for reconciliation

00:15:26and they've all got

00:15:27something to give us

00:15:28to offer on this subject

00:15:29Jesus said

00:15:31I'm the way

00:15:31the truth

00:15:32and the life

00:15:32no one comes to the Father

00:15:33except through me

00:15:35there's one God

00:15:36one mediator

00:15:37between God

00:15:37and humanity

00:15:38Jesus Christ

00:15:39and if you try

00:15:40and move that around

00:15:42you've actually lost

00:15:43the very heart

00:15:44of the gospel

00:15:44and that's what

00:15:45came across

00:15:46in what Charles

00:15:47was saying

00:15:48and he spoke about

00:15:51people of different

00:15:51faiths longing

00:15:52for peace

00:15:53showing respect

00:15:54for others

00:15:54yeah

00:15:55I'm sure there are

00:15:56people of other

00:15:57faiths who are

00:15:58sincere

00:15:58I'm not saying

00:15:59they're all bad

00:16:00people by any means

00:16:01and people can be

00:16:04good people

00:16:05according to whatever

00:16:06religion they

00:16:06good in

00:16:07worldly terms

00:16:09no one's good enough

00:16:10for God

00:16:10but they can be

00:16:11better than others

00:16:12and some people

00:16:14can live according

00:16:14to good principles

00:16:15which they've picked

00:16:16up from their religions

00:16:17but they can't have

00:16:18salvation

00:16:19and that's the

00:16:19important thing

00:16:20important thing is

00:16:21that God didn't

00:16:22actually send Jesus

00:16:23into the world

00:16:23to try and make us

00:16:24to be slightly better

00:16:25people than we were

00:16:26before

00:16:26he came into the world

00:16:27to give us salvation

00:16:29and salvation is only

00:16:31available through

00:16:31Jesus Christ

00:16:32and if you take

00:16:33that away

00:16:34then you can have

00:16:35a sort of measure

00:16:36of human goodness

00:16:36but you can't have

00:16:37what God requires

00:16:39and you can't have

00:16:40the life which God

00:16:41requires

00:16:42but it can only come

00:16:43through the Holy Spirit

00:16:44and without Jesus

00:16:46you can't find

00:16:47true peace with God

00:16:48and you can't find

00:16:49salvation

00:16:49because as we read

00:16:52in Matthew's gospel

00:16:53you should call his name

00:16:54Yeshua

00:16:54salvation

00:16:55for he will save

00:16:56his people

00:16:57from their sins

00:16:58spoke also of Jesus

00:17:01coming on a purpose

00:17:02to bring peace

00:17:03on earth

00:17:03quoting from Luke

00:17:05chapter 2

00:17:06glory to God

00:17:07in the highest

00:17:08and on earth

00:17:08peace

00:17:09goodwill towards men

00:17:10again that's the

00:17:12message you'll hear

00:17:12many times

00:17:13from people

00:17:14preaching at this

00:17:15time of year

00:17:16Jesus came to

00:17:17bring peace

00:17:17on earth

00:17:18have you ever

00:17:19thought about it

00:17:20does it actually

00:17:21say that

00:17:22in the scriptures

00:17:23did Jesus

00:17:23actually say that

00:17:24it's going to show

00:17:25that he didn't

00:17:26not being heretical

00:17:28but the verse

00:17:30actually could also

00:17:31be translated

00:17:32he came peace

00:17:33towards people

00:17:34of goodwill

00:17:35people God

00:17:36is pleased with

00:17:37otherwise people

00:17:38who have accepted

00:17:38Yeshua

00:17:39his salvation

00:17:40through the Messiah

00:17:42he did come

00:17:44to bring peace

00:17:45but you need

00:17:46to be qualified

00:17:47and it needs

00:17:47to be narrowed

00:17:48down

00:17:48in fact Jesus

00:17:50did not offer

00:17:51collective peace

00:17:52to the whole world

00:17:52on this side

00:17:54of the second coming

00:17:54on the other side

00:17:56of the second coming

00:17:57he will bring peace

00:17:57to the whole world

00:17:58but this side

00:17:58of the second coming

00:17:59there is no message

00:18:00in the New Testament

00:18:01in the Gospels

00:18:02you'll find

00:18:02which tells

00:18:03that Jesus

00:18:04coming into the world

00:18:05is going to bring

00:18:05universal peace

00:18:07to the world

00:18:07or to society

00:18:08his birth

00:18:10his life

00:18:11his death

00:18:11and his resurrection

00:18:12actually would trigger

00:18:13a spiritual war

00:18:14as the powers of darkness

00:18:17sought to destroy

00:18:18and remove

00:18:19what from their point of view

00:18:20was an invasion

00:18:21from God

00:18:22into their turf

00:18:23into their territory

00:18:24Satan has usurped

00:18:26God

00:18:26and taken over

00:18:27his role

00:18:27as the

00:18:29God of this world

00:18:30and he doesn't want

00:18:32the real God

00:18:33coming in

00:18:34to remove him

00:18:35from that position

00:18:35which is why

00:18:36Jesus came into the world

00:18:37so Jesus coming

00:18:39into the world

00:18:39actually was a sign

00:18:41for a war

00:18:42to take place

00:18:42and it literally happened

00:18:45what happened

00:18:46after Jesus was born

00:18:47wise men came

00:18:48to Herod

00:18:49and asked him

00:18:50where the king

00:18:51of the Jews

00:18:51was going to be born

00:18:52he got a bit

00:18:53freaked out about that

00:18:54and he said

00:18:54well let me know

00:18:56when you find him

00:18:56they told him

00:18:58that he's going to be

00:18:58born in Bethlehem

00:18:59in Judea

00:19:00according to the prophecy

00:19:01which he was

00:19:02and then Herod

00:19:03did something

00:19:04utterly unspeakable

00:19:05he wiped out

00:19:07all the baby boys

00:19:07in Bethlehem

00:19:08in order to destroy

00:19:09the one

00:19:10who was the Messiah

00:19:11and if you think

00:19:13about it

00:19:13behind that

00:19:13that was the first

00:19:14act of Satan

00:19:15in trying to

00:19:17eliminate

00:19:17faith in Jesus Christ

00:19:19Jesus came into

00:19:20the world

00:19:21and Satan

00:19:21sought to destroy him

00:19:23through this wicked act

00:19:24of Herod

00:19:25God saved him

00:19:27from that

00:21:27as fights from each other

00:21:28but the fact is

00:21:30that when Jesus

00:21:30comes into a situation

00:21:31he does cause a division

00:21:33cause a division

00:21:34between those who

00:21:35accept him

00:21:35and those who

00:21:36reject him

00:21:36and particularly

00:21:37if you come

00:21:38from another faith

00:21:39Judaism

00:21:39or Islam

00:21:40or another religion

00:21:41and you become

00:21:42a believer in Yeshua

00:21:43the Messiah

00:21:44you can expect

00:21:44that your own family

00:21:46and your friends

00:21:46will cast you out

00:21:47and there'll be

00:21:48that division

00:21:48and maybe some of you

00:21:50have had that experience

00:22:07the nature

00:22:07of the spiritual warfare

00:22:08and the fact

00:22:08that the world

00:22:09is in the hands

00:22:10of the evil one

00:22:10and the evil one

00:22:11is going to fight

00:22:12against anyone

00:22:12who believes in Jesus

00:22:13there's going to be

00:22:14a conflict

00:22:14when Jesus comes

00:22:16into a situation

00:22:16and a division

00:22:17between those

00:22:18who accept him

00:22:18and those

00:22:19who reject him

00:22:20and he warns

00:22:22also of persecutions

00:22:23coming on those

00:22:23who accept him

00:22:24accept his message

00:22:26so they'll be rejected

00:22:27by friends and family

00:22:29be hated of all nations

00:22:30for my name's sake

00:22:31some of them

00:22:32be put to death

00:22:32as is happening now

00:22:34in many situations

00:22:35in the world

00:22:37and we can think

00:22:40of Christians today

00:22:41suffering persecution

00:22:42in Nigeria

00:22:43being killed

00:22:45by Muslims

00:22:45and other parts

00:22:46of the world

00:22:47where Islam rules

00:22:48where Christians

00:22:48are being killed

00:22:49for their faith

00:22:50in China

00:22:51there's growing persecution

00:22:52of Christians

00:22:53and suppression

00:22:54of the authentic

00:22:55Christian church

00:22:56so you have this battle

00:22:58which is taking place

00:22:59which is not bringing peace

00:23:01actually

00:23:01not bringing peace

00:23:02in that sense

00:23:03and warnings

00:23:05of persecutions

00:23:06which will be

00:23:07a feature

00:23:08of the end times

00:23:09Matthew 24

00:23:12Jesus said

00:23:12you'll be hated

00:23:13by all

00:23:14for my name's sake

00:23:15he warned of persecutions

00:23:17coming upon those

00:23:18who accepted his message

00:23:20and it's happening

00:23:22in many places

00:23:23in the world today

00:23:24he also warned

00:23:26his Jewish contemporaries

00:23:27of a coming war

00:23:28in which the Romans

00:23:29would destroy Jerusalem

00:23:30and the temple

00:23:30would be destroyed

00:23:31and the Jewish people

00:23:33would be scattered

00:23:33and desolations

00:23:35would follow

00:23:35as prophesied

00:23:37in the book of Daniel

00:23:38chapter 9

00:23:39following the coming

00:23:39of the Messiah

00:24:04of the Messiah

00:24:51when the Messiah

00:24:51is visiting you

00:24:52in the person

00:24:53of Yeshua

00:24:55and you have the option

00:24:56now to receive him

00:24:57and receive peace

00:24:59with God

00:24:59and receive forgiveness

00:25:00and receive a relationship

00:25:22trying to work for peace

00:25:23and some people

00:25:24say it's great

00:25:25we're on the way

00:25:26to peace in the Middle East

00:25:27and Trump says

00:25:28there's going to be

00:25:28a dawn of a new age

00:25:29in the Middle East

00:25:30and there shall be

00:25:31peace and safety

00:25:31but unfortunately

00:25:33the Bible tells us

00:25:35that there may be

00:25:35a false peace

00:25:36which will come

00:25:37a offer of peace

00:25:38which is not real peace

00:25:39and when that peace

00:25:41is broken

00:25:41in the last days

00:25:42it will lead to

00:25:42a time of real conflict

00:25:44the last conflict

00:25:45the wars of Gog and Magog

00:25:47Ezekiel 38 and 39

00:25:48leading to Armageddon

00:25:49and the final conflict

00:25:52which will lead to

00:25:52the return of Yeshua

00:25:54the Messiah

00:25:55and when Jesus comes again

00:25:56there will be real peace

00:25:57then Isaiah 2

00:25:59will be fulfilled

00:25:59and they will really

00:26:00beat their swords

00:26:01into plowshares

00:26:02and not study war anymore

00:26:03but until that time

00:26:05this war is going to go on

00:26:06and there won't be peace

00:26:07on earth

00:26:39there will be wars

00:26:41and desolations

00:26:42during this time

00:26:42of the present age

00:26:45there will be wars

00:26:46and rumors of wars

00:26:47nation against nation

00:26:48kingdom against kingdom

00:26:49and that's going to happen

00:26:51because people

00:26:52don't accept Yeshua

00:26:53as the Messiah

00:26:53if everybody accepted

00:26:55Jesus as Messiah

00:26:56and they lived in peace

00:26:57and reconciliation

00:26:57with each other

00:26:58there will be no wars

00:26:59and no conflict

00:27:00that's why we can have

00:27:02people from different

00:27:03backgrounds

00:27:03different races

00:27:04different ideas

00:27:06that they come from

00:27:07and dwell together

00:27:09in one body

00:27:09in the Messiah

00:27:10and love each other

00:27:10because we're now united

00:27:12in Jesus the Messiah

00:27:13but outside of Jesus

00:27:14there's still the conflict

00:27:16and it's going to continue

00:27:17until Jesus returns

00:27:18what he does offer us

00:27:22is personal peace

00:27:23with God

00:27:23and the personal peace

00:27:25with God

00:27:25involves our sins

00:27:27being forgiven

00:27:27having the hope

00:27:29of eternal life

00:27:29knowledge of God

00:27:30if you have that peace

00:27:33even if you walk

00:27:35through the valley

00:27:35of the shadow of death

00:27:36you can fear no evil

00:27:38because you know

00:27:42that you're on

00:27:42the victory side

00:27:43you can have peace

00:27:45and assurance

00:27:45because we're on

00:27:47the victory side

00:27:47and we have a glorious

00:27:48future

00:38:12and all the troubles

00:38:13will stop

00:38:13and everyone will

00:38:14live in peace

00:38:14and safety

00:38:15it's a nice idea

00:38:17but it's not

00:38:18going to happen

00:38:48in their hand

00:38:52who sits on the throne

00:38:55and one of the

00:49:36watching developments

00:50:40which is on the

00:50:40Baltic

00:50:41which separates

00:50:42Poland from

00:50:47its forces into

00:50:49Kaliningrad which

00:50:50is a Russian

00:50:51enclave on the

00:50:56of Russia

00:50:57but it's separated

00:50:58geographically from

00:55:05exports it's cut off

00:55:06Venezuela's lifeline

00:55:07Russia is coming to the

00:55:10aid of Venezuela

00:55:14that they've actually

00:55:15sent warships there

00:55:15or they're on the

00:55:16process of doing so

00:55:17they've also sent

00:55:19advanced missile

00:55:21systems which are

00:55:22capable of sinking

00:55:23the US aircraft

00:55:24carrier in the

00:55:25Caribbean if they do

00:55:25that then that's

00:55:26another World War

00:55:27III potentially event

00:55:29they've set up bases

00:55:31in Venezuela and

00:55:32Cuba to challenge

00:56:48joining it

00:56:48it's an alliance

00:56:50of countries which

00:56:50is a kind of trading

00:56:52bloc which Russia

00:56:54and China are

00:56:54building up to

00:56:55confront America

00:56:57as the dominant

00:56:58nation

00:56:58remember since the

00:57:00fall of the Soviet

00:57:01Union in 1991

00:57:03Soviet Union broke

00:57:05up into different

00:57:06parts Russia became

00:57:08part of it but the

00:57:09leading part of it

00:57:10and Russian power

00:57:11was extremely broken

00:57:13from being the

00:57:14sort of confrontation

00:57:15between the Soviet

00:57:16Union and communism

00:57:17and the West

00:57:17you now had America

00:57:19as the dominant

00:57:20nation

00:57:20a unipolar nation

00:57:22as they call it

00:57:23and Russia has

00:57:25resented that

00:57:26and Putin has

00:57:27played on that

00:57:28resentment and that's

00:57:28part of his battle

00:57:30over Ukraine

00:57:31he wants to keep

00:57:31the Russian empire

00:57:33intact he wants to

00:57:33keep Ukraine in the

00:57:35Russian side of things

00:57:36not in the western

00:57:36side of things

00:57:37now they have a

00:57:40policy of

00:57:42confronting American

00:57:44dominance in the

00:57:46financial area

00:57:46now I'm not an

00:57:47expert on this

00:57:48I think that Mark
