00:00US President Donald Trump is set to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Florida today
00:06as Washington pushes to make progress on the stall ceasefire in Gaza.
00:11The talks are expected to address Israel's concerns over Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as Iran's role in the region.
00:19The discussions come as the US seeks to establish transitional governance in Gaza,
00:24including an international security force to stabilise the enclave after recent flare-ups of violence.
00:31US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington wants a transitional administration
00:35with a Board of Peace and Palestinian technocrats in place before deploying the international force
00:41mandated by a November UN Security Council resolution.
00:45But both Israel and Hamas accuse each other of major breaches.
00:49Israel continues to attack Gaza, while Hamas has refused to disarm.
00:55Meanwhile, in Lebanon, a US-backed ceasefire agreed in November 2024
00:59brought an end to more than a year of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.
01:04Hezbollah was meant to start disarming near the Israeli border,
01:08but Israel say progress is slow and continues near daily strikes.
01:13Netanyahu says Israel isn't seeking confrontation with Iran,
01:16but will raise concerns about Tehran directly with Trump.
