00:00Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly rejected a U.S.-backed peace plan for Gaza
00:06in a rare open break with President Donald Trump.
00:10Netanyahu says Israel, which has emerged as a key stumbling block to Trump's plans
00:15to broker peace in the region, will not withdraw its forces from Gaza until Hamas is fully disarmed.
00:25In a statement on Sunday, Netanyahu said Israel was still talking to the United States about the plan,
00:31but he made clear that Israel would not pull out its troops until Hamas gives up its weapons.
00:37Trump's Board of Peace proposed the 15-point plan last month.
00:42It calls for Hamas to disarm in return for the full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza,
00:47followed by a transfer of power to an independent Palestinian committee.

00:55But Netanyahu wants Hamas to fully disarm first in order to implement the deal.
