During a press briefing on Tuesday, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu was asked about ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas.
Transcript
00:00Prime Minister Netanyahu, will you meet Trump again, President Trump again tonight?
00:03It may be very likely.
00:07Should we expect an announcement regarding ceasefire and the hostage relationship?
00:11Well, we're certainly working on it. I can't speak in advance.
00:16You need, well, you need several parties to tango. It's not even two here.
00:21But we're working on it diligently as we speak.
00:24In fact, on the way over here and on the way from here.
00:27We're not going to let up. We have a goal. We intend to achieve that goal.
00:32Prime Minister, are you open to the Hamas counter-proposal to allow more widespread aid?
00:37We accepted a proposal that came from the mediators. It's a good proposal.
00:42It matches Steve Witkoff's original idea.
00:46And we think that we've gotten closer to it.
00:49And I hope we can cross the line. That is our purpose.
00:52But I think the less I speak about it publicly, the more likely that we might get it.
